I'd say that unless they're in bed with PSU companies to coerce people to upgrade to quadruple digit watt PSU's, they're gonna have to find ways to reduce power. And yes, 2080ti is sufficient for a while yet with some GPU tweaks. Luckily DLSS 'performance' mode as well as some other minor tinkering with the settings can make Cybersex 2069 run pretty adequately. If I had known we'd run into shortages I definitely would have paid the extra few hundred and invested in the TI instead of 2080 'Super', 2 years ago.

Hitman series on a massive sale right now. At least on Steam and Epic Games. Pre-game for #3!

Rocket Lake reportedly double digits IPC uplift over Comet Lake and actually having lower clock speeds than their normal 5.x+ghz setup because of their new Cypress Cove architecture allows for it. So we get 8c/16t with the i9 and a significantly higher single core ranking than the Ryzen 5950x. Perfect for a gamer. After that, Alder Lake will be their first and let's say prototype version of the x86 + M1 chip hybrid that they're really pushing for and will use 10nm which is pretty exciting. Then we get Meteor Lake, which should be a much more refined and breakthrough hybrid model that will finally get to the 7nm process. The future is looking pretty bright for Intel consumers and we have AMD to thank for that. Keep competing and making these corporate clowns earn their pay!

Yes, and Borderlands is the First Person Shooter version of it. Hence: Borderlands. Grim Dawn would be a more equivalent "Like Diablo" than Borderlands.

The loot system looked very "borderlands" to me, and the fact that you can attach suppressors to your gun and drop points into stealth and hide dead bodies in bins gave me the "Hitman" impression. An open vibrant city where you can drive everywhere and steal cars is certainly a bit "GTA" whether one likes it or not, and the augmentation and character building setup struck me as "Deus Ex/System Shock". I haven't played it of course but if I go in with that cognitive impression and treat it as such I reckon we got a good all-round title on our hands. That...or it could be a case of trying to tackle too many elements at once and as a result falls flat on its face! I shall find out in a month or two. The characters do not look appealing to me whatsoever (based off of what I've seen) so if you only like this game because of Keanu Reeves you've already lost me and we have probably nothing in common.
-
Based off of what little I've seen, it looks like a combination of Borderlands, Hitman, GTA, and Deus Ex (or System Shock). Feel free to correct me if I'm way off.

Yup still not buying until the 1st major patch at least, and my new GPU arrives. I want this baby to run smoothly and to break in my new card. The more footage I see, the more I'm thinking I'll probably like it, because it does have some good stealth assassination elements. Add some good old RPG elements and weapon varieties and customization and I think we got a winner here.

RAM: 32 Gigabytes of DDR4 Trident Z Royal Series in 4 sticks of 8 gigabytes that comes with a 3200Mhz data rate with a cache latency of 14-14-14-34 (CL14 fourteen). I am hoping I can get it to 13-13-13-31, and would not mind turning down the data rate to 3100Mhz to achieve it. We will see once it arrives what I can do with it.

CPU: Core i9 9900k 5.1Ghz 1.34v 8c/16t GPU: EVGA Geforce RTX 3090 FTW3 1955Mhz boost clock RAM: 32Gb 4x8 Trident Z Royal Series 3200 CL4 SSD: 2 Tb Samsung SSD Evo 970 MON: ASUS ROG G-sync 1440p 165hz MOB: MSI MEG ACE z390 CLR: Noctua D-H15 air cooler OK. I am absolutely DONE with PC parts until Meteor Lake hits in probably 2023, and the Nvidia 50xx series in probably 2024.

What Are You Playing Now: The meaning of life
ComradeYellow replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
Ok, despite my initial (probably childish) kneejerk hate stamp towards Hitman 2016, I finished the game and it was actually not so bad, albeit short and not nearly as fulfilling as Blood Money was. Most of the missions are well designed and have lots of crafty ways of taking out your targets. Also, it's the small things in a game that truly determine whether you're playing the right game, just standing around listening to the NPC dialogue really made me chuckle, and it was tongue and cheek humor that I can connect with. 8/10 Will move on to Hitman 2 (2018) as soon as I feel like dishing out the cash and then Hitman 3 right after it. -
Bethesda games are boring and the writing is awful. Morrowind had some good lore but that was about the highlight of any Bethesda game made in their studio.
-
Discord Cyberpunk are surprisingly reasonable! Half of them are quite let down and think the release was awful and some are considering a refund. The other half dig it but also acknowledge that it didn't live up to hype and is kind of a mess.

Yes 3200 CL14 seems to be the best of the bunch and will last a while, especially for an Intel user. Ryzen users should benefit more from 3600 or 4000 sometime in the near future.
-
Thanks! I was looking for some killer ram at a decent price and the numbers here check out.
-
Looks great, solid upper middle class build. Personally, I'd go with 3600mhz RAM for Ryzen, as Ryzen CPU's tend to prefer raw speed whilst Intel likes tight timings.
-
Proof here that DLSS 2.x not only improves performance, but certainly can make the game look better. Truly a remarkable milestone in GPU design, whilst Ray Tracing kinda does leave something to desire in its current state, especially considering the performance crushing it does.

Are the forum/game discussions occurring elsewhere?

Ah see, mainstream Democrats have it in their heads that respectable upper middle class/wealthy Republicans could never be bothered with Trump and that it was filthy working class people who elected him in some kind of joint Russian-Trump tower conspiracy. This is truly would what they believe, I mean the aristocracies of old could not be prouder of what the American elite has evolved to. And to get it out of the way, whilst Trump may have picked up a few disgruntled working class types under his banner, the number was not significant. The interesting thing about mathematics is that when you're a small % right, you're 100% wrong.

Bought a shiny new i9 9900k from the Silicon Lottery Gods not long ago so I'm set on the CPU front for a few years at least. When the 3080ti releases it should be around the time Cyberpunkassbitch 2077 gets adequately patched up. Well, as adequately as such a bloody mess can get patched up that is.
-
Let's do this baby. The best of both (Outer) Worlds. I can manage 47 surprisingly well in TOW, sneak by when you can, stand like a tree when detected and start plugging shots into the head, and a little bit of 'Lie' to help carry out my rouge operations.

No patch can fix Cyberpunk 2077 (thenextweb.com) Yikes this doesn't sound like CP has a good legacy here. Sure people will gobble it up from the getgo but how will it be perceived in the not too distant future? Probably not well.
