I really don't think Best Buy and Wal Mart becoming part of the State would kick up much fuss, most people who invest in these companies have tons of other investments and other prospects as well.

Lots of things need to be nationalized, including major corporations, to reinvest money into the national treasury. If 1/3 of all consumer goods are manufactured by the state it would go a long way towards alleviating the debt. Also, do we really need to spend almost $1T on military? I mean China's military budget is only like 6% because they're not stupid enough to engage in "Arms race" behavior, military spending is based on practical considerations.

Yes the difference between a 3080 and a 3090 is marginal, especially in gaming, leaving virtually no room for a 3080ti in there. There's only 3 reasons to buy a 3090 1) You're a crazy gamer who wants the best whatever the cost 2) You're a cryptocurrency miner 3) You're job requires lots of GPU memory juice (game developers I presume?) But in any case, that's why state industries need to be a priority sometime in the near future, to release products that generate national revenue. A little it of a tax hike couldn't hurt either. We will survive progressive economics, with a re-arrangements and new projects.

Well when both parties agree on the same things that I despise (protect Israel, imperialism, foreign intervention, ect.) yet Republicans are extremely ass backwards on social and economic issues, I'd prefer Dems as a 1 party state over a worse 2 party state IF a 3rd party is impossible.

Doubtful that the Republicans will ever "Reboot" to some abstract notion of how the Dems formerly perceived them. The party is ****, always has been ****, and always will be ****.

Funny how the original New Deal of the 1930's wasn't widely regarded as "radical", yet a more moderate, decentralized version of it in the 21st century is considered extremely radical in many if not all right wing circles in the United States.

Whelp, we are a major power, so it is very possible in the future we could do away with multiple parties and just have a single party rule, which could very well be the Democrats if the current authoritarian trajectory keeps going the way it is. Not a prophesy or anything but I certainly wouldn't rule it out.

I'm hoping we can get a 3rd party that can attract both Greens AND Libertarians, making each individually irrelevant. And yes, I consider myself of the left, American, and I view both Dems and Repubs as right vs. far right, when it should be Left vs Center vs Right. So when Republicans call Democrats Communists and Democrats call Republicans/Trump "Putin and Xi fanboys" I can't help but feel a bit baffled and dumbfounded at the discourse flying around at present.

Just because Republicans are Bad, doesn't mean Democrats (in their current state anyway) are Good. I'd say it's up to us 3rd party enthusiasts to spread this message.

Yes they're not dumb enough to intervene or act in any meaningful way when their competitors are shooting themselves in the groin. I don't want China to come out on top or anything but unless the U.S. gets its crap together and adopts some common sense especially on the global stage it's looking quite favorable to China at the moment.

I mean he filed 43 different sanctions against Russia, bombed Syria twice and did everything he could to ensure Israel's safety and I smelled him as Reaganesque Zionist the moment I saw him. Liberals can be as full of **** as the right sometimes, and seem to operate within the context of the Conservative approach to Imperialism confined within Anglo-Zionist sphere of influence. It's such an outmoded way of thinking but that's the problem with old people and politics, they tend to stick with what they know, even after it stops working.

Yeah just what we need, people getting their hopes up that Arcanum 2.0 is in the works. I'm expecting a mediocre Steampunk game from InXile and a great Skyrim competitor from Obsidian. Sure Avowed won't get the sales of Skyrim, but It'll definitely suit my personal preferences better than Skyrim did, and that's all that really matters.
