Politics 2020 - the gift that keeps giving
ComradeYellow replied to Amentep's topic in Way Off-Topic
Yes that's the problem with Trump, his supporters are attracted to him strictly out of sentiment rather than a realistic approach to "draining the swamp" (Impossible to do because he ran as a Republican). I mean a lot of his supporters are really stupid there's no denying that. However I'm pro-gun and Biden is repeating the Boomer mantra since the Clinton era of gun control so I guess I'll be sitting out this election, because there's no independents worth a damn. -

I'm inclined to agree. It's not the deficit that's the problem it's the threat to the U.S. petrodollar as the worlds leading currency. Once that get's significantly challenged by the ruble or the yen you can start fretting about the economy and muh consumerism. And lol at anyone who thinks this election is important. We have ONE political party and it doesn't care about you. -

Because I'm that weird guy, I'm playing Kingdom's of Amalur Re-Reckoning. It's actually not too bad. Then again, I'm not too picky as long as the game accommodates my Archer/Mage fetish fairly decently. Skyrim does not, this game does. -

Went target shooting. This would be my first serious attempt at handgun shooting.... and I totally suck. Hit the target twice at 25 yards, 10 yards was a totally scattered grouping, but at least I hit the target and even a few bullseyes. It's not as easy as it looks, here I am sporting an AAA 9mm Beretta turbo modded and still totally newbed out. Granted, I used JHP +P usually reserved for carry, but I wanted to test carry ammo first before my target ammo comes in. Once my 500 rounds of FMJ comes in I'm probably gonna be out there for hours mastering my shots. No cops showed up so that's a plus. Made sure I was well within legal shooting range before I plastered a target on some brush. -

Yeah what happened with W2 anyway? I remember the demo was released and I thought it was a lot of fun, like a Bioware game but much better and more versatile. Then the final game releases I'm just like "wtf this is ridiculously hard and tedious". -
Was in high school when one of the school directors rushed in and turned on CNN (we had TV's in every class, probably a luxury back then). A tragic day indeed, probably the only time the whole country came together and sang Kumbaya, only to have it immediately fall apart again with the passage of the Patriot Act and the beginning a Middle-Eastern imperialist romp planned by the neo-cons.

I build my own PC's and modify my own guns. Cars can F themselves, I'd rather just buy a cheap beater and burn it up then start walking until I feel the need to buy another one. -

Nope. CD Projekt Red has gone the way of Besthesda and Rockstar and I've never been a massive AAA gamer. -

I've turned into a Japophobe over the last few years so the only thing I play that's Japanese are games that are like, decades old like Resident Evil lol zombies. I mean have you seen 4chan? Yuck! Currently playing a bit of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC, still holds up, and am eagerly awaiting for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 ^ I hope that's the main villain. -

Speaking of snobby liberals, glad to see 'left' wing people speaking about against class shaming of 'any' kind: -

Yes because cops have a truly solid track record of 'human being' behavior especially recently. I think I'll take my chances. Take a walk on wild side. -

Which is why I'm a little concerned going out target shooting here even in a perfectly legal manner. I'm afraid some idiot is going to call the cops over 'suspicious repetitive gunfire' they here and send a cop in to investigate my discharging, I do not live in the south so there's bound to be some anti-gun snobs kicking around. I mean what the Hell am I supposed to do in that situation? We both have loaded guns and I'm legally shooting and someone comes up on me like that, my first reaction is going to be "F you!" which could lead to my untimely death. -

I keep 2 liter bottles of Diet Coke handy at all times. -
My experience with Alpha Protocol on Xbox 360 was flawless. It was quite a few years ago so my memory on it isn't the hottest, but I do not recall having any issues with it. Fallout 4 on the Master Race, on the other hand....

Literally all you need for self defense. You can fit it in your swim short pockets. But then again, real men don't posture and go looking for trouble so of course this whole protest and being armed to the teeth situation is a bit over my head. -

I'm wondering why they always bring assault rifles in what always appears to be packed close up encounters. Any gun expert will tell you that literally all you need in a lethal self defense situation is a small 38. ACP concealed in your pocket and only about 5-7 rounds loaded in it. -

Honestly, in my humble opinion, it all boils down to the district attorney's agenda and how s/he perceives the big picture to it in relation to the incident. People naturally protect their tribe. -

Just got my Winchester 9x19 124 grain FMJ NATO rounds and my Speer Gold Dot Gold 9x19 124 grain JHP +P rounds. Both fire roughly at 1200 fps but the JHP rounds naturally have better muzzle energy (around 410 foot pounds or so) and better penetration do the the expanding nature of hollow point rounds on impact. Not exactly proud that I picked up the ammo that's both standard for the U.S. Army (Winchester NATO) AND law enforcement (Cops love Speer Dot Gold ammo) but shortages in 9mm ammo especially have rendered my options limited. Went to Wal Mart and bought target accessories and a magazine loader. Now the quest for finding a personal shooting range somewhere in the non-developed area in town. State law says you can shoot anywhere as long as the point of shooting and the destination of the bullet is at least 100 yards away from any residence. -

The less authority cops have, the better. I really see no hope for police at this point. I mean what exactly are they protecting and serving?
