  1. If someone could make a watercolour of this one, it would be ovely.
  2. I think it would be interesting to examine, but I have my doubts it will from a business perspective. PoE is Obsidian own fantasy IP, designed to cater to a rpg traditionalist customer segment. Even if they wanted, Obsidian might be reluctend to do so, in fear of alienating fans. Also, I wouldn't say that a vaugly-early modern analogous society is "on the cusp of an industrial revolution" (even if I dispense with my dislike for hard historical inevitability) - but that might be a quibble depening on whether you think 150 - 300 years is a short time.
  3. I don't thnk so. Deadfire requires a gamecomplete.savegame save game - if you only complete WM1 and then complete the game, the game will not generate that file. At least I remember a dev saying that - if you want to make sure, go look in your PoE savegame foldder and see if there is a recent gamecomplete.savegame.
  4. I don't know how you feel about this, but for me, when an oft-repated phrase becomes a meme, it is an indication that it was source of annoyence (arrow to the knee, wishing for a nuclear winter and so on).
  5. Doors that load into another area do not open.
  6. Here is a table of the choices we will have (which admittedly raises some questiones): https://i.imgur.com/ycXcUrS.png
  7. Considering each DLC is projected to cost $10, I think they are going to be of some substance. If they are just a weapon pack or additional ships, I doubt they will sell at that price point.
  8. I think Sawyer mentioned in the last Q&A stream that they were. I don't have a clue in which of the .json files the values are in though.
  9. They would have to make each item into a mini-DLC then? I think they already are? At least they are split up into more than 1 file, from that Steam info someone posted the other day (and I can't seem to find now).
  10. I don't think there is anything preventing it - it would just be additional work for a bespoke system they are properly never going to use again. I am a GoG user too, and I too will be slightly miffed if I am excluded for the Scavenger Hunt DLC, but let us not kid ourselves - it is much easier (and quicker, and cheaper) to dream up a system than to fully design, implement, and test it. Honestly, the easiest thing would be to just give all of the Scavenger Hunt DLC to the GoG backers and be done with it.
  11. There is an import feature, and no matter whether you import or not, the main character is still the Watcher of Card Nua. However, you only imports your choices, not your stats. You will have to remake your character, and you'll start at level 1 (partly to facilitate the new character and multiclass system). If you want more information I suggest you try to read some of the import threads that have already been made: https://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?app=core&module=search&section=search&do=search&fromsearch=1
  12. I read it as are both going to make voice sets for some of the characters they played in their first D&D campaign (and that there will be portraits of them to go along) AND do voice acting for the companions (and possibly other NPCs).
  13. That is fine, but I think your suggestions would be more noticeable to the devs if you had made a new thread solely dedicated to UI enhancements you'd like to see.
  14. It's more likely that for some people it's Irenicus's dungeon for prologue or bust. Based on the Kickstarter trailer we are going to start after Eothas has utterly destroyed Card Nua and killed most, if not all, of the living beings there by sucking out their souls. I think we got the grimdark start covered.
  15. You are right, it was J.E. Sawyer - his profile can be found here.
  16. Critical Role is an internet show of voice actors that stream (and podcast) their D&D campaign. Matt Mercer is their DM.
  17. While there is the problem with portraits and in game model not syncing up, I still prefer portraits. I assume you are meaning the 3D characters you saw when you talked to people - yeah, they could have used some more work. Still, I found Tyranny to be a good experience overall.
  18. Agreed, now if it was ten Xaurip spears, then we would be in business...
  19. Sorry to rain on your parade, but Might is back in the latest beta - and it seems to be here to stay.
  20. I am sorry, but no: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/94318-welcome-to-the-deadfire-backer-beta/page-6
  21. I think that is the free Deadfire DLC (it brings some portraits from PoE2 and a merchant at Anslög's Compass that you can buy some new stuff from) - it is not the full sequal (or a real expansion for that matter). No - see above. No, we lose all of our stuff, including all of our soulbound items.
  22. Good grief, Every time a RPG sequel comes out it seems like the fans want the old game remade in the new engine. NWN is released - people want BG/Torment remade in it. NWN2 is released - people want the NWN/BG campaign remade in it. Fallout: New Vegas is released, people want Fallout 3 remade in it (WHY?). Fallout 4 is released, people want Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 (WHY?) remade in it. Deadfire is not even out, and now people want PoE remastered in the new engine. I know you cannot argue with taste, but honestly I would rather efforts go into making something new than to re-create something old that already runs on modern computers/OS'.
