  1. Is there any chance that we will get a sneak-peak on the mod support - a rough overview would be fine.
  2. I don't think it covers all your needs, but I think people would love your contributions in the portraits thread. If you ever create enough to constitute a bundle, consider putting them on the NexusMod section for Deadfire.
  3. Personally I enjoyed the Endless Paths, but I don't feel like it was integral part of the game, nor that the devs had made a promise for it to be in the future PoE games. Also, going back to the Fig campaign, the entire Fulvano's Voyage was a replacement for the Endless paths growing strechgoal.
  4. Sure there is - click on your user profile in the upper left corner -> Manage Ignore prefs.
  5. There is a few on Deadfires NexusMod page. For some reason the tagging system is not working/being used so you will have to go through manually - but there is only around 5 or 6 pages of mods atm, so it's bearable.
  6. He is a reference to Johnny Five-Aces (try to read 'Giani Canc Assi' out loud) from the unreleased game Zybourne Clock. Josh Sawyer also placed a reference to him in Fallout: New Vegas.
  7. I don't think people ever stopped posting that they wanted Ydwin as a full companion.
  8. Just to make sure, you did finish Pillars of Eternity 1 right? You got to the final encounter, killed the boss and made the final choice, the ending slides popped up and showed you the consequences of your choices, the credits rolled and then you were sent to the main menu? Have you made any kind of clean-up in the meantime? Deleted your old PoE save games? Moved them to another location etc.?
  9. Unless of course the investor wanted the game shipped on a certain date come hell or high water - like when Obsidian had to chop up large parts of Kotor II: The Sith Lords ending because Lucars Arts wouldn't give them an extension on their agreed development time (as was their right, to be fair): (Source)
  10. From update 49: I have not read a update in the physical items since then.
  11. As far as I understand Josh Sawyer is at least partially in charge of overseeing the balance changes, as he was on PoE1. He has on multiple occasions made it clear that he strongly believes that balance matters, even in singleplayer CRPGs. If you want to make your opinion heard or vent, please go ahead, but know that more balance changes (both up and down) will come.
  12. That status effect (the one when the cipher becomes "ascended") is a unique status and doesn't have a check in the conditionals page, but that would be a much easier way to make a mod for that condition. Indeed, it seems like somebody did just that.
  13. I can confirm that this is still the case in version 1.1.0.0035. If you have tried to make Wild Orlan, and have gotten all the way to the customization screen, and then go back and try to make a character with a different subrace, then the head button does not work.
  14. I don't know what modding toolkit you are referring to. Deadfire is more open for moďding as it is far more data-driven, and this data is in .json files, but making complete new area is still seems beyond modders abilities. Also, you may want to use the official nodding forum subsection in the future
  15. I have the game on GOG and I have the Rum Runner DLC installed (I use Galaxy).
  16. I think and D:OS2 did EA, and that game sold well, and never really seemed to go away. I wonder how Larian experience the EA process (and InExile for that matter with Wasteland 2). Honestly, for me the notion of EA and RPG seems like a strange one - I don't like the idea of having my progress invalidated because of a milestone upgrade or having fundamental features being patched in later (Obsidian releases buggy games, no doubt about it, but at least I can play them from start to finish, that was not the case for D:OS2 or Wasteland 2).
  17. I have yet to make it thru an entire play thru that didn't erode into a mess of bugged quests requiring me to abandon and delete those game saves. I meant, have you tried playing through the intro once after you installed the beta patch and then tried to start a new game? From what I have heard you should be able to skip the intro then.
  18. Have you tried playing it through once, and then starting a new game?
  19. I wonder if the games with money-gates or 4 plot coupons to collect had it right all along.
  20. I am waiting for at least a patch or two - the game needs both a balance patch as well as a delousing. For what's it's worth, the wait is actually helping me going through my backlog, so the wait is actually not that bad.
  21. They've mentioned that it should be out some time in early June.
