  1. The only reason that comes to mind to keep chasing Eothas is because Berath (+ the other gods) asks you to try and reason with him: you might have recovered your soul, but the chime that she can use to control/destroy you is still there and not complying to that last request means death/suffering at her hand. IIRC it's Eothas that frees the Watcher from Berath's influence after the last talk with him, so before then you're stll in her grasp. Basically, it's just a matter of self preservation. Yeah, but she clearly had other options. Not just the Watcher. As evidenced if you say no at the start. So why is Berath so dumb that they don't send any backup plans? What if the Watcher drowned during the storm? What is their contingency then? Oh right, nothing would change and the game's main story would play out essentially the same just without the watcher being a feckless fool. Dumb ? really? I personally , always felt like Berath well..wasn't ok...but...compared to the others Gods who were going bipolére about stopping him or killing him...and accusing each others...she seemed so zen about it . That's like Hades being zen knowing the underworld is about to get new design interior and be all Barbie pink..it's so very very weird . So maybe the ending doesn't touch them ..or the effect will take so long...she know there is no point in spazzing in front of the inevitable.. Or she always had a plan.... Or she is welcoming this..'ending' ...
  2. one of the best reaction was playing death godlike..and near Berath temple , some guy (or kid?) run away screaming
  3. really...entitled ?... anyway , if you like ending 'whatever you do...you are screwed' and 'OMG!!!' kinda of ending , you should play Divinity 2 ! It got...a really unique ending
  4. Torment: Tides of Numenera fits your query just about perfectly. But that game is complete garbage, don't compare it to POE. that game was good... The only two things I didn't like , was the ending and how it was compared to Planescape Torment . It was a nice try , but it sure like hell...was nowhere to Planescape Torment Level story wise . Agreed, take away the fact that it tried to be a Torment successor and you have a good (not great, but good nonetheless) game with strong potential that just didn't transfer 100% of its potential to the actual game. When you look at it in a vacuum, no ties to Torment, it's fine by me. a garbage game is a game that fail on all front..story..combat....mechanic...everything pretty much . I actually liked the story , but yeah..it was missing alot that planescape torment did . I think the comparaison with planescape hurt that game more then it did good .
  5. You know when you watch that trailer ? and see Eotha crawl his way pretty much from underneath your castle ? and peoples and you die... And you are going 'OMG!!!!!!!!! SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH!'....I want this game so badly! But...the story isn't well delivered . it's like in the back burner , and that's the biggest let down for me . I don't care if they want to mix strategy and open world (I'm of the opinion you shouldn't , because 'cool idea rarely match the reality and you usually half way trough you find how hard it's to make and you end up with a half assed game' ) . I mean , I get it . Maybe this game is a setup for the 3rd sequel . But you can still do that and give peoples a gripping story . I didn't buy the game for a cool boat and play Pirate (I never watched Pirates of the caribeen for a reason , Pirates always end up dissapointing you Har Har ) . Those were 'features' , and weren't the selling point for me . The story is the Biggest 'I'M GONNA GET THIS GAME AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT'' . So..will I play it again ? I'm waiting for the patch to fix the companions and slider , since my 1st playtrough was screwed (sided with the wrong factions ) . But it's not the game with the story that will make me blabber for a year or so until the next one come out . That's the dissapointement I guess ...

  7. still waiting for patch.. So meanwhile...since I have my hand full nowdays... Been jumping and playing a little bit of that and this.. So mostly ' Endless space 2' and a couple more of strategy games...like 'Imagine earth' and ' Northgard' . Help alot since you have to click for next turn...which is useful..right now
  8. while I have no interest to go into Politic-..I mean Godhood buziness would be nice if we get something like Times of Troubles in POE3
  9. well.. what I wanted to see in POE2 as it is...could be used for POE3 . EXPLOSION!... I mean..*ahem*...tensions! suspense! inpending Doom and Glooom! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! THEE MONSTER IS COMING! Soo..in short , a gripping story . Where the 'WTH is HAPPENING?!?' can be seen and felt . I mean imagine..if on the world map that we have... we can see the green giant , and ships from all factions hammering at it with their ships . And he is sinking them like they are candy ? and kicking ships away..and hear 'WAHHHHHHHHHH! *Incoherent screaming *' and you go 'Wow...he is really cranky huh ?'' and Xoti goes 'I love you Eotha ' Meanwhile , you still have to do side quest cose you were hired since day 1 by FEDEX! Like seriously...them banana are needed by the Huana.....y'know ! .......... I think I forgot my point there
  10. yeah , my friend play DAO on console . And she tell me the game never crash for her . I have the same game on Steam (pc) , and the game crash every 20min even after I tweaked it like hell . Yet the issue , is after the game was a success ...why not go back and optimize it ? cose that's the main issue . it's not a bug , the game freeze and crash everytime a bunch of darkspawn spawn on the map (or others monsters like wolf or bear ) . And it's use DirectX 9 , and unlike DA2 that can be switched to a different DirectX...you can't . I really think , once a game is released and you are done high fiving and counting how much money it brough in . You should fix the game as much as you can . Especially since it will still be on sale for years to come . It's horrible to leave a game on sale , with a damn bug that can stop one from playing it . DAO expansion had that , Kotor 2 has a horrible bug that happen randomly and stop you from playing completely .
  11. Isn't that essentially what "early access" is now? was there 'early access' before though ? early access always say 'you take the risk of playing an unfinished game that is filled with bugs , and your money will go toward polishing and adding stuff' . Homewhever , I have seen some game that take the money then run away with it . Sure , the number is small..but still . Also there is the front of peoples who think playing early access game is like they are doing the Dev work , playing a buggy game . That often lead them to 'this game better be free from bugs when it's out !'' . Personally , I think nowdays games come out buggy cose of many reasons . Some of them maybe lazyness ? we have no proof of that . But mostly , I think often it's the engine that is used . And really , those bugs don't happen to everyone . So to anyone who complain about buggy game on release , plz explain why NOT everyone get the bugs ? My point was that we're already there at that point where games are released after the first alpha (seemingly) and built before your eyes. I'm not sure if its good or bad. With respect to buggy games I think the culprit is always the same - time and money. Sometimes a company - unless they have really, really deep pockets - will have to push a game out regardless of how much more polish could be put into it if it were delayed. Even if you have the money to throw at QA (hire more testers, buy more configurations of computers for QA to test on), if you don't have the ability to spend the time to identify, test and fix bugs and then QA again, throwing the money at the QA group would be pointless. I think it's a time issue . Even EA who has lot of money , and can give 5 years to make X game... The game still end up coming out with bugs . And I don't mean 'Oh noe! poor them , they run out of time ' since most of the time it's 'Oh noe , they rushed the game..Grrr WHY ?!'' . I don't think they can catch all of the bugs regardless , if they put time and money though . Especially when a game come on different platform .
  12. So true ! there are games even though they had alot of success....some bugs were never fixed . And yet the game is still being sold as is.. Now that , deserve a complain !
  13. I don't think there is a 'perfect' RPG..honestly . I think they all have their flaws...one way or another . That said , my pick is based on Story that make you remember it forever and ever . And what's an RPG without a story huh ? 1- Planescape Torment (have yet to find something like that ) 2- Kotor 2 (Sooo goooood) 3- Neverwinter Night 1 (Original Campaign ) 4- Baldur's Gate 2 Shadow Of Amn

  15. Not gonna lie, I'm just imagining a dude with an anvil for the top of their head here. Credit where Credit is due: https://buster126.deviantart.com/art/Anvil-Guy-337539727 So..that's how it look when someone wake up with a hang over
  16. I wish they added the new ones we already have.. I would've been happy . And yeah..more is good ! I love Godlike!
  17. what do you mean by chosen ? I though godlikes , were touched by the gods . Which happen before one is even born . well..there is a reason..but it's a bit spoilery ..
  18. yeah . Or it could.. I know some town (island) will show up and depanding on the quest you do..they can go good or bad . But....maybe there is a chance of your slider getting bugged . Because that first town does have quest that change approval . So if you kill everyone , the question is : will the game recognize that everyone is dead AFTER the approval and quest were done . The game won't break , at least..like doubt everyone will go hostile everywhere . But your slider will though .
  19. that sound dissapointing . Then again , usually stuff like that...(we the player often expect ALOT of grieve and impact)..and as usual..the impact is very small . Like some dude that was bad showing up and redeeming himself (like fist in ME2) and you just wanna kill him again
  20. the menagerie is just that . That small area with pillow and hay , where every tiny pet you find outta there..will go and roam in that zone . And...as far as I could tell..that's about it . You don't feed them , pet them or anything . It's just a visual thing . No..you can do a search on the forum , the new grimoire system , is swapping books over and over..which sound Tedious....
  21. well...alot of places you visit , show up in the ending slider . Like 'The watcher went to Kentuky , but someone stole his breech and he decided to kill everyone for them breeches...'' ... Must be fancy breeches... uh..what I was saying again ? oh yeah , so you probably get the breeches ending if you do
  22. I didn't . It said 'Not Recommanded'... So..if you did , why not tell us what you saw different ?
  23. So kinda like some other game..well..DAO was like that . When you target companion to do a task like Leliana open this chest..and her approval isn't high..they go 'Sigh..let me see' . Kinda cool when you think about it
