Ydwin missing
OEI_Wolf replied to MaximilianXimenez's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hey, MaximillianXimenez. Can you please attach a save game file to this issue so we can check it out? Thank you very much for any help you can provide so we can get this taken care of. -
Hi, thelee. Per the design department, Vela was always supposed to mimic a terrified townsperson in that she should cower and run around scared. If she was only cowering, that was a bug. The behavior is supposed to be random, however.

Izzia's missing
OEI_Wolf replied to topologista's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hey, folks, I have a question and a request: Question: Request: Can I get some save games? That would help narrow this down tremendously. Thank you all for your help. -
Hey, Stoicromance. I've put in a bug for this issue. Thank you very much for attaching the files and screens. I've sent this to the programmers to have a look.

So, it would appear that this save game doesn't have the latest DLC installed on it. You can tell by the save game name. This one has LAX-12ABCDEF. That means you have SSS and BoW, but not Forgotten Sanctum. If that were installed, it would read LAX-123ABCDEFG. Can you do me another favor and tell me what the version number you're running is? You can find it in the top right corner of your main game menu and it should read, with everything installed, v4.0.0.0034 (or 33, depending on where you downloaded it from) LAX123ABCDEFG. Please let me know what yours reads.

Hey, everyone. Have you all updated to the latest video drivers and such? If not, please try that. I'm starting at the beginning here so we can try to get this issue resolved. If you have and that doesn't solve the issue, can you please attach a save game file and your DxDiag files so that we can take a look and see what may be occurring? Thank you for your help.

Hi, Wulfrun. This save game is from the Backer Beta. Do you happen to have one from right before the DLC is supposed to trigger? That would help us to narrow down the issue. Also, any output_log.txt files from your game would be helpful. I've put in a bug report for this issue and hopefully we can narrow down the problem you and TheWye are experiencing. Thank you both for your help and your patience.

Thank you for attaching that file. I've just spoken to the programmers and they have another request, if you can provide it. It's your output_log.txt file. Here are the instructions on where to find it, and it's what they're really after: Crash Output This only applies if you experienced a crash. If the game crashes, in many cases it will create a folder containing crash information (including a Crash log, output log, and save file). This folder will appear inside your client next to the game launcher (PillarsOfEternityII.exe). The name of the folder will be of the following format: YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS Example: 2018-05-08_081722 The game should generate this log file even if it doesn't start. If the game doesn't generate that folder, then you may be able to find it in your PillarsOfEternityII_Data folder. Thank you so much for your patience as we try to resolve this issue.

Hi, MotelOK. I'm sorry you're experiencing this problem. If possible, could you attach your DXDiag file to this issue so we can try to narrow down what's occurring? In the meantime I'm forwarding this issue to the development team to see if they have any idea what may be happening. I might also suggest an uninstall/re-install if you are amenable to that. Thank you for your patience.

OEI_Wolf replied to Xykier's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Are you still seeing this issue after the latest patch? If so, please let me know via PM or just reply here. Thank you very much for your patience and hopefully this has been resolved for good. -
Hello thread. If you are still encountering this issue, is there any way you can attach a .zip file to this thread with your save game included? I'm trying to track down this specific buff and a save game where you're seeing this would help out tremendously. Harlath, thank you for sending the e-mail, but I wasn't able to retrieve your save from there at this time. Again, thank you for any files you can send our way.

Loss of Saves
OEI_Wolf replied to Townsendvol's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hello. I am very sorry that your save game files seem to have disappeared. We ask that anyone affected by this issue to please attach your DxDiag file, and also any output files that the game created, to this post. This would help us determine if there is a common thread and find a way to resolve the issue. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and any assistance you can provide us in narrowing this issue down. --Doug. -

Our programming team is requesting them to hopefully get a fix in for this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for any further assistance you can provide.
