  1. Thanks for the response! I've read that most of the bugs appear to be in the later parts of the game so maybe I'll go ahead and get it now. It will most likely take me a few months to get to that point due to my limited game time, so by then maybe most of the issues should be resolved. I could also wait for a discount but I don't mind paying full price to help support the developers so that they can continue making these types of CRPG's in the future.
  2. I've been itching for a good CRPG to play. Is this worth jumping into now or should I wait a few months for them to fix the bugs like with Kingmaker?
  3. ^This. I can wait on the physical goods if it means I get the latest build on the disc. Both options are going to give you the latest build on the disc. The difference between the options is whether you get the other physical goods at the same time as the disc or earlier. I'd rather it all ship at once, in the box.
  4. ^This. I can wait on the physical goods if it means I get the latest build on the disc.
  5. Been playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance(GBA) and I'll have Legend of Grimrock 2 waiting at home after I get off work.
  6. I agree with this comment, I would really like to see some grass and trees sway in the breeze. I would add a touch of artistic "realism". The scenery is gorgeous however, even in just a little village, can't wait to see the crazy environments you have come up with in the full game. Could just be the build we're playing but Josh talked about this in a previous update(Update #49). Here's a link to the video.... http://youtu.be/AUleDEFkUtE
  7. Yeah I'm up to 36 and it has been flying by. Although apparently once you hit 50 you still level quite a bit, they just call them Veteran Ranks. That's crazy, we're both going at the same pace.....I just hit 37 last night. Not sure how I'm going to feel about quest grinding for veteran ranks at 50. Sure, you get to experience the other factions stories and what not but I'd rather get VR doing PvP in Cyrodiil but I've been told that is not an efficient way of doing it. I have a friend who hit 50, spent 2 weeks getting to VR2 and quit because he got bored.
  8. Slowly making my way to 50 in Elder Scrolls Online and when I'm not playing that I've been playing Final Fantasy X(Vita) remake and MVP Baseball 2005(XBOX).
  9. I've been playing it. Any free time I get has gone into ESO this past week and I'm really enjoying it. Sure, there are bugs, like random horse dismounting, phasing issues, mail issues but stuff like this is typical with MMO launches. Playing on the Aldmeri Dominion alliance and been splitting time between a Bosmer/Nightblade and a Breton/Sorcerer. Really digging both classes and I probably should pick one and stick with it but it's hard lol! I'm just now doing quests in Auridon and both my characters are approaching level 10. Really like the pacing of the game too! It's slower than most other MMO's I've played but I like that. I've been spending a fair amount of time crafting and looting houses for books and items. Inventory management can be tricky especially if you're a hoarder like I am. I think I'm going to wait until I'm 50 before heading out into Cyrodiil. Really looking forward to the PvP but I'd like to do well when I got out there.
  10. Personally, I prefer a subscription based model for any MMO I play. I think F2P with cash shops dumbs down the whole experience because the best looking gear, mounts, etc. is all purchasable through a virtual store and not obtainable through questing, dungeons or crafting. I'd rather pay $15 per month to have access to all that content through gameplay mechanics.
  11. Final beta weekend coming up, March 14-16. If anyone is interested in trying this out and needs a key, I have a few extras.
  12. I've decided to play ESO after this last beta weekend event and actually pre-ordered the imperial edition on Sunday night. Initially, I had no interest in playing because the game uses tradition Elder Scrolls/FPS controls, which I really don't like in MMO's. All the MMO's I've played in the last 10 years(WoW, Lotro, FFXIV, SWTOR, GW2) all have mouse friendly UI's and control options. That's the way I prefer to play and I'm the most comfortable with. Sure, its a preference thing and doesn't mean ESO sucks but its just something I don't like. So, when I did my first beta weekend event in January I didn't like it and didn't give the game a fair chance soley because I didn't like the controls. Think I got to level 2 and then quit and didn't play the rest of the weekend. I had pretty much written the game off before this last weekend beta event and then I saw a video showing what PvP was like. It was 3 faction open world PvP just like it was in Dark Age of Camelot. This really peaked my interest because I loved DAoC. So I decided this past weekend to make an effort to adjust to the controls and with a little tweaking got it setup to where I was comfortable playing it. I didn't get to level 10 to try out PvP but I had a blast with the game. The world is beautiful and has that realistic look that I loved about Lord of the RIngs Online. Questing and NPC dialogue were really well done and had me engaged in the storyline. I found several treasure maps that had me exploring the island I was on which I thought was a nice mini-game. Did a little crafting and enjoyed it. Sure, there are still some kinks to work out, combat needs to be more fluid, grouping needs work with the whole phasing thing and there are still lots of bugs that need to be fixed but overall I enjoyed the game.
  13. Playing Final Fantasy XIV. Pretty fun so far! My conjurer just his level 23 and I opened up the first Primal battle. Story has been decent but I love the gameplay. Being able to switch classes by swapping out weapons is cool and the crafting system is also very involved which is a nice change from the norm.
  14. I'm in the same boat you are...but I had to throw a little money at this project. Oh well, guess its the dollar menu tonight!
  15. They need to add Mythic Entertainment in with that group. For being a couple of Doctors they weren't very smart to not see this coming. Oh well, I'm sure they made themselves quite a bit of money and really don't care if Bioware is now associated with a pile of dung.
  16. Man, I really hope this still gets implemented even if they don't hit the 2mil mark. I want my own castle, damnit! =)
  17. Grats, Obsidian! You're gonna hit your goal in a day it looks like!
  18. I couldn't edit my original post. Just remembered the 386 was not my first PC, it was an Apple IIc. Played some classic games on that beast......Zork, Archon, Mechwarrior, Quest for Glory, etc..
  19. Smooth move. Mine was an Intel 386DX-33 w/ 4mb RAM. It also had a 2400bps modem to connect to the Prodigy service and local BBS's.
  20. You haven't played it yet? It is KotOR 3-10. The Sith Inquisitor storyline is better than anything in KotOR 1 & 2. If you really feel that way, you really should try the agent storyline. Should blow your mind or something. I personally found it good enough Yeah the Agent storyline was pretty awesome and my favorite of the ones I played. I tried to hook up with Watcher 2 but she shot me down.
  21. Yeah, open world pvp isn't for everyone especially for those coming from playing only structured pvp. My first pvp experience was doing RvR in Dark Age of Camelot and that's exactly what WvW is and thats the only kind of pvp I really enjoy. Sure 1v1, 3v3, 5v5 or 10v10 is fun but it doesn't deliver anywhere near the excitement of hundreds of players from three different worlds fighting for control over something, at least for me anyways.
  22. Yeah, the 6/26 release date Gamestop shows isn't happening. LOL I hope Anet releases the game when its finished and not any sooner. A big problem with MMO's today is they're released unfinished and with lots of bugs. Sure an MMO is never finished but content thats suppose to make launch gets cuts because devs didn't have the time to finish it and then its later added in a content patch. I think first impressions is an important factor in the success of an MMO. If people love what they play they'll stick around but if your game is plagued with bugs and unfulfilled promises then it will either fail or not live up to expectations. Old Republic is a fun game but was riddled with bugs at launch and highres textures were removed because of problems which pissed off alot of players. I'm sure a year from now TOR will be a much better MMO than it is now but how many people will still be playing? Same can be said for other games like Age of Conan, Warhammer, Final Fantasy XIV, etc.. I've heard lots of great things about FFXIV 2.0 and how its a drastic overhaul of the game and it will be so much better. How many people are still left that actually care? How many people will come back after SE took people's money for a game that was technically still in Alpha? The success of an MMO hinders on it's launch and hopefully Anet gets it right.
  23. I agree with you on the Auction House or Trading Post, it was bit hard to understand. I believe you can buy your mats for crafting -- its kinda how it worked in the first Guild Wars, they had these material trader NPC's that you could buy mats off of. As far as the real money item shop goes, ArenaNet has to make money somehow since the game won't have a monthly subscription fee. So, I support the item shop and will probably spend $10-15 p/mo. to buy currency for it just to help support Anet. Most of the items I saw were either consumable buffs for XP, etc., pets and cosmetic outfits. World vs. World was probably the highlight of my weekend. I spent hours just doing that on my Ranger and had a blast. I went from level 5 to 14 just doing that. I'm going to have to upgrade my pc before this launches. I had huge dips in FPS in some of the bigger battles and since most my time will be spent in WvW I gotta make sure my PC is good enough to handle it.
