  1. Actually it is good news.
  2. Damnit! Forgot about that one. Looking forward to playing that as well.
  3. Currently Playing..... World of Warcraft MVP Baseball 2005 Jade Empire Looking forward to... Final Fantasy XII Heroes of Might & Magic V Dragon Age
  4. I'll probably end up owning all 3 systems at some point but the only one I'll buy at launch will be the PS3. It's all about the games and PS systems have always had the best game selection. Plus being able to play all my PS1 and PS2 games on it is a huge plus. Nintendo wants to push the whole being able to purchase and download old NES and SNES games on its Revolution system. I can do that now and not pay anything for it.
  5. Sweet! Looks like I'll be getting a 360 for the same reason I bought the first Xbox...to play KOTOR. :D Also can't wait to see what they have lined up for the PSP.
  6. BIG thumbs up to all of you who are working on this project. Your time and effort is greatly appreciated. I know it probably sucks that you won't be compensated for your efforts but I know the satisfaction of taking a game you enjoyed playing and making it better will be welll worth it and its something that will not go unrecognized by us all. I for one will be patiently waiting to play KOTOR 2, for the first time, once you are finished with the project. I'm a little shocked that after reading through the 20+ pages there wasn't any feedback from the good people at Obsidian. I'm curious to hear their thoughts on this project.
  7. Prydeless, thank you very much for those links and thanks to all of you who responded. I'll be taking my Xbox copy back and exchanging it for the PC version.
  8. Well, from the sounds of it the PC seems like a better choice and I definitely have a PC that could handle it. One thing I'm going to have to get used to is using a mouse and KB to play it. The first one I played on the Xbox. Anyone have any success using a game pad through a USB port to play it on the PC? I have an adapter that allows the hook-up for a PS2 controller which may work with KOTOR2. Another question in regards to this restoration mod -- has it been released or is it still in the works? I have no problem waiting a little longer to play the game if a mod is being released that will add some content to the game or add back things that have been left out.
  9. What's this restoration mod you guys keep referring to and could someone please post a link to where I could find it? Sorry if I'm coming across as 'stupid' but its been a while since I've come to these forums.
  10. I purchased this game for the Xbox back when it was released in December. Funny thing is, the game is still sitting on my shelf, unopened. Just been busy playing WoW and haven't found time for it. Well, I've gotten that urge to play a good single player RPG so I thought about cracking the seal and giving this game a go. Question is, should I play this on the Xbox or take it back and exchange it for the PC version? Did the Xbox version have the same bugs that plagued the PC version, that they recently fixed with a patch? Also, to those of you who have played and finished KOTOR2, was it worth your time? I've heard from people who have played it, including my brother, that the ending is God awful and totally makes the 40 or so hours you put into it not worth it. Thanks for all your input.
  11. -EDIT- Double post. Sorry it gave me an error when I posted the first time.
  12. Interesting list of online games And now what? Guild Wars? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't be a smart ass. The MMO's I listed are the biggest out there currently. I was trying to make a point that when you compare those games to WoW you don't have the same boring level grind. There is still a grind, yes, but its no where near as painful that some of the others put you through. As for Guild Wars, I'm enjoying my time in WoW and see no reason to move onto something else.
  13. Have a level 46 Mage on Uther. WoW is not the best MMO I've played but its fun and it also caters to the 'casual' gamer, like myself. I don't have a lot of time to invest in an MMO and probably shouldn't even bother with them but with WoW I can jump on for a few hours a night and still come away with the feeling that my character is progressing in the game. Plus I get to hang out with some of my friends, so I feel the $15 p/mo is being well spent. In response to Sirus's claim that WoW is a 'boring grind like every other mmo" --- Have you played WoW? If so, how far did you get and which class did you play? I've played Dark Age, Everquest, Asheron's Call, Final Fantasy XI and City of Heroes. WoW doesn't come close to the 'boring' grind those games put you through. I've gone 1-46 and this game has yet to be a grind for me. If anything people criticize WoW for being a "care bear" mmo, too easy.
  14. I'm the exact opposite. I own both systems and my PS2 gets a lot more use than the Xbox. The Xbox may have the hardware edge over the PS2 but it doesn't come close in the game department, in terms of the number of quality games. Guess its the type of game you're looking for. I'll be picking up Jade Empire on Tuesday and my Xbox will finally get turned on for the first time in about 4 months.
  15. Currently listening to.... HTDAAB LOTR: ROTK OST FFT OST
  16. 1. Final Fanstasy VI 2. Chrono Trigger 3. Knights of the Old Republic 4. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 5. Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn 6. Heroes of Might & Magic III 7. Final Fantasy IV 8. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night 9. Xenogears 10. Baldur's Gate
  17. I have no gripe with it being given a 8.5 score, as stated in my post, I just don't think the Graphics score is justified.
  18. What I find amusing is that Greg has no problem giving WoW a '9' for graphics but gives KoTor 2, a far superior game from a graphics standpoint, a '6'. What a joke. Not to say 8.5 score isn't bad but the score on the Graphics isn't justified. Gamespot needs to cut it out with their 'fanboy' approach to games....they've just lost all credibility as far as I'm concerned.
  19. this is Hiroyuki Sakai in battle forgive me for my ignorance but who the f*ck is that? He's some master chef, which they call 'Iron Chefs'.
  20. Thought the movie was 'ok'. I'll admit I had expectations for this movie and was slightly let down.
