I'm in beta and enjoying my time with it. Will I be playing this at launch? Yes, in fact I've already cancelled my WoW and Lord of the Rings accounts. Don't see how that is violating the NDA unless I go into specifics, which I'm not going to do.

I thought about playing Rift, even got a beta invite for it but never downloaded it because the opinions I got from my brother and friends were, "It's a WoW clone!". Since they had no plans of playing it at launch, I felt it was a waste of time to even bother with it. Now I'm reading good things about it and regret not beta testing it. Oh well, looking forward to Guild Wars 2.

I love that game! shame about the lv 60 dragon transformation, why does it take so long to lv up. I don't know anything about level 60 Dragon transformation, lol. I'm still level 18/19/17/16. I guess the slow levelling up is just to make the player spend even more time with the game. I think all games in the series are like this. Slow paced and long time to level your characters. Luckily, I managed to find a spot on the world map with random metal slime encounters and I got some great exp when I actually managed to kill them(bastards tend to flee half the time). I enjoy the game because of the overall mood(soundtrack and world design). It's just the slow pace and the inability to save anywhere that annoys me. Even save points in dungeons would have been good. But other than that, I'm liking it. Visitied the shadow realm for the first time to help the mourning king of Ascantha and I'm now at Pickham, Yangus' hometown. Going to fight outside of town and try to experiment with different alchemy recipes. I bought DQVIII back in 2006 before FFXII came out. Started it but never finished it. Think I was about 1/4 way through the game when FFXII came out and then stopped playing it. Started playing it again last summer and was about 3/4 of the way through when my TV fried. By the time I got it replaced I was in the middle of playing Dragon Age and other PC games that I just never got back to finishing it. All my characters are around lvl 40 and it was a blast to play. Its probably my favorite JRPG since Final Fantasy IX. I really need to find time to go back and finish it before I forget where I was in the story. After you finish with VIII I highly recommend picking up DQIX on the DS if you already haven't.

HoMM 3 I loved the 2nd one as well but hated the ghosts and the AI seemed to always flee right before you won and then return the next day with an even bigger army. There was less of that in the 3rd game plus they also included artifacts like shackles which prevented the AI from fleeing. Also, it had better multi-player options.

I've been playing off and on. Finally got finished with Mirkwood quests and got kindred with Malledhrim. Now in the process of saving up emblems for the horse and port. Probably will make my way into Enedwaith next. Also been leveling up a Burglar which is pretty fun. I spent a majority of my turbine points on vault space, shared storage and wardrobe space. I had almost 5k after the store patch went in and now I'm down to a little under 2k. I've held off on the cosmetic purchases because you couldn't see what they looked like on your toon but as of the last update you can now try stuff on so I'll probably be spending the rest of my points on cosmetic stuff lol. The deed buffs are also nice. Aside from LotRO I've been playing Dragon Quest VIII and IX -- having a blast with both games! Looking forward to Castlevania: LoS next week! The demo was awesome!

I like your style. Throw in MLB '10 and you've got my last couple weeks of gaming. Have you done any of the Spring festival in LotRO? I started earning rep. for the Ale Association and then I found out what the vendors offered, at Friend and Kindred, and decided to stop wasting my time. I finally finished Volume 1 -- only took me a year but the white horse they give you is pretty cool. Now I feel like I can move on with the game and finish up Volume 2 into Mirkwood. I did the ale one way back in the day, but the little mini-games never interested me much. I want to finish up Volume 1 too, now that they made it solo friendly. I'm on Book 12, if I recall. The Ale Association was actually something new they added this year. You might be thinking of the Inn League.

I'm debating whether or not to start Mass Effect and play through 1 & 2 after I finish FF XIII or do a 2nd play through of DAO and proceed into Awakenings. I had fun playing through DAO the first time but I also had 90 hours invested -- don't know if I want to do that again.

Final Fantasy XIII(PS3) - Love the combat system. This is easily the most enjoyable FF game I've played since IX. Heroes of Might & Magic III Complete(PC) MLB The Show '10(PS3)

Awesome headset! I've had them for 2 years now and love them.

Why's that? I'd venture to say he doesn't like the origin story. A little bit of that, and a little bit of just wanting to do a few things differently. I usually start over on RPG's two or three times before I get really into a character. Exactly what I'm doing. I'm on my 4th re-start with a different character. Enjoying the game so far.

Grats on finally hitting 60! Can't wait for the Mirkwood expansion....been messing around with it in beta and really like what they're doing.

Juggling my time between Lord of the Rings Online and WoW. Playing Lord of the Rings for my PvE fix and WoW for my PvP fix. Both of these games will be put on hold when Dragon Age Origins comes out! Also playing GTA: Chinatown Wars for the PSP --- Loads of fun.

It's $10 p/mo. if you can get a founder referral or sign up for a 3 mo. sub($29.99). I highly recommend it. I've been playing MMO's since 1998 and this is probably the best one I've played. I would not recommend it to anyone who is big on PvP. While it does offer some form of PvP in Monster play, its not all that great. This game is all about the PvE and doing book quests plus it has a pretty good crafting system.

It's a pretty amazing game, but it is not for everyone. Whereas most MMO's try and disguise the grind and treadmill effect of the genre, Vanguard embraces it full bore. You can create your own boat, but it will take you months to mold each piece and all that. Still, the scope of the game is epic. Huge world, with tons to do. I tried it out but just couldn't get into it. When I tire of Lotro I may give Everquest 2 a shot. I've heard they've done alot of good things to make it better.

Wow that sucks. I used to have Satellite internet about 7 years ago back when I played Dark Age of Camelot. Not fun. I actually went back to Dial-up just for the lower latency.
-
If you can't get it to work then let me know. I can send you a Founder's referral which will get you the 14 day trial and also allow you to sub at $9.99 p/mo instead of the normal $14.99 rate.

Yes They can play every available class and all races except Dwarf.

I'm on Windfola. -EDIT- Hurlshot, how did you get your character info in your signature? It's on the LotR website, under your forum account information. http://forums.lotro.com/profile.php?do=editsignature That might get you there, you choose your character, choose a picture, and then you get the html code to post it on any forum. Thanks!
