  1. Excellent question. I think there needs to be a completely seperate area on the forums for all the flamers and haters...a "KOTOR2 is teh SUXX0R" thread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree, but. . .then we'd never see Hades again!
  2. This is why spam email was invented. So that we can get our way when is comes is KOTOR3.
  3. I never got though half-life so I have no idea what the heck is goin' on, really. I think it has to do with, um, the man, things and. . .stuff? <_<
  4. To lighten the "let's all bash each other" mood, the only complaints I have about half life two is: and which is probably one of the scarriest places in any game I've encountered. Graphics this good plus is not my idea of a good time. Steam hasn't given me any problems. Do you want it to?
  5. What really sucks is when you answer the phone using a greeting from a computer game because you type it so much. Trying to "impress" girls usually ends up bad. Just act casual, and don't worry so much. Everyone finds someone eventually, and it may not be your time to find someone yet. If anything, just talk with 'em and get to know them better. Impressing gets you nowhere because they'll expect you to be like that 24/7, because that's the only way that they know you. G'luck, man. Don't be so worried about your image.
  6. Revan's child would be a silly-as-heck idea. If you wanted to actually finish the game series, they'd come up with something creative, not spawn of revan, not revan, and not the exile. (Note that the constraints of the KOTOR series are limited to having the main character be a Jedi. To Hade's unfortune, that is what my example is based off of.) Here's a quick idea of how I would do it. In the outer rim, the real threat has shown it's face. The Sith, the real Sith, not the pansies that Revan and Exile fought have come, butchering worlds seemingly without a purpose. After the departure of the heroes(villans, if desired), they made their move. However, they brought startling news and not an ounce of hope. The only belief that many people live on is that the sith's words are a hoax, and their once-heroes will come save them. Even just to fit their own means. A clash between the last Jedi and the true Sith happened on <insert obscure planet name here>, utterly destroying a small outpost. Countless of innocents were murdered by the vile sith assassins. Except for you, that is. You're not sure why - perhaps you were saved because they felt the presence of the force in you. Perhaps you are a tool. Anyway, in your youthful pride, you decide to take vengence on those who destroyed your home, taking you to the farthest reaches of the outer rim to discover who (Jedi or Sith) destroyed your home, why they spared you, and if your childhood heroes still live. Relatively quick and dirty (indeed, bad) writing, but the story is still the most important aspect of the game. (It also suggests the possible "padawan" idea that most people wanted to see in a KOTOR game.) That's right, folks. Graphics don't matter that much.
  7. Umm. That's "Planescape: Torment" you're thinking of there. One of the few and far between games that makes people, gasp, think! Lionheart had great potential. I replayed it a few times (through the general suckiness lack of a fun RPG and suddenly became ACTION ACTION ACTION THERE GOES YOUR DIALOG SKILLS ARR!) ...All this from the woman who goes around beating people with a crowbar in half-life. Ah, well. Sometimes action is more fun, but in the case of RPGs where you don't have real direct control over the action, it is quite horrible indeed. Viva la dialog and stealth!
  8. ...I do that every day, anyway.
  9. I don't mind the conecpt of lionheart. If it was less like diablo (poser RPG) and more like, say, a real game it would've been better. (I thought the choosing of spirits was a nice touch. The chaos one was so sarcastic. Wonderfully sarcastic.)
  10. Hmm. . .When I started up my game, I had no trouble. (Just installed it a while ago today and it took bloody forever.) Did you make sure it's correct, there are no spaces, and that you put the little dashes in?
  11. [ spoiler ] Don't have a cow, man. [/ spoiler ] Delete those posts. That's a strong suggestion. To everyone else: Stop the GoA taunting and get back on topic. I find it amusing that none of you have figured out how to get your lightsaber back.
  12. no u <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Complete sentences please. "No, you are" or at least "No u r". And, well, isn't it a bit late for such a patch?
  13. That's what being the father of the man/man who is named after George Lucas all about! You can't die until the end of the movies. . .or until some other writer kills you off.
  14. What? Just because I don't have "female" "girl" "gurl" "chick" or insert any other female title in my name means that I'm now male? Or the fact that I can hold my own without having to resort to "ur" "lol" "rofl" "lmaorofllol" "4" "4ever" "l8er" or some other strange new language form? Please - get your head on straight! And Naso: When everyone gets the game, everyone must judge the game for himself/herself. While you may think that TSL was bad, there's someone somewhere else agreeing with you and someone disagreeing. Just because that you may think that TSL sucked does not mean that everyone thought that. You have a standard that may be higher - or lower - than everyone else. Hades may be the voice of reason to you (and he seems right to me on a few things, not to say that you are wrong, but simply different) but to some of the other folks here he's the voice of chaos and discord. No offence to you, of course. You seem like a bright enough person.
  15. It appears as though Obsidian is in dire need to female workers! If I ever write anything, I'll apply for a job. You won't be female-less for long! Maybe it has to do with the fact that men play RPGs more than we chicks? (RPGs are a bit more. . ."male friendly" if you catch my drift. . .) ----- It looks good. Thanks for this bit of news.
  16. There is no "J". Therefore he's kidding ya. *stiffles a snigger*
  17. Evil is subtle. She isn't supposed to go "Oh, you just murdered Bob and his wife, good job!" However, if you were to do it in a way that was still evil but quick and painless, she'd approve. As stated on here before, you can't change a person's personality 100%. It takes time. And it's subtle. <insert request for thread to be moved to spoiler forum as well>
  18. [/lurking horror]I preordered a few weeks ago off of Amazon.com. Each day is(n't) like a non-bitten fingernail grinding itself into my veins.[lurking horror]
  19. You're welcome. Honestly, Star Wars hits so close to home for so many people, I understand why they get upset about these things. But in the final analysis, I think that the whole thing won't be a wasted effort. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dracomicron, you deserve respect for handling this so well. I think the reason most people are upset is the fact that you don't get to play Revan, you don't get to make up your character's past (you actually DIDN'T in KOTOR if you answered Bastie's questions "truthfully".) you don't have your first crew come back, and it's made by another game dev. Look, let's snipe at the new developer. They don't have another game to back them up! Hee-hee-hee, so much fun. I said before that I wouldn't take reviews seriously if people were paid to be critical of a game. I also won't take the complaints on this game seriously if you spent $50, were expecting shock and horror, and go around this board like you're a 14-year-old boy. Congratulations, everyone who has been complaining en masse: You're officially unloved. Oh, and there is a thread in the Spoiler forum as well that should resolve questions for those who are too lazy to think it through. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll resume waiting in a dark room and twitching until Febuary.
  20. The location of where you get certain powers can be considered a spoiler, because they spoil the "oh my god, I want to find. . ." part of the game.
  21. Spoiler forum. Please delete this thread and repost it there.
  22. You actually all just confirmed my suspicions about how the game would end. Look at the ending from this point of view: I recall noting the similar structure between this game and PS:T. And if it is as you say, I'll actually enjoy it to some degree. I love games that make me feel odd when I finish. Otherwise, it's yet another crappy game.
  23. I think my game is running on 800x600, while my desktop is running on 1024x768. I'll have to fiddle around with it. I never did try to get the best out of my game. Specs: 508 RAM (recommended is 512, bleh.) NVIDIA Gforce FX 5200 2.40 ghz processor Pentium 3 processor, I believe. <_<. System specs just don't want to be found today. I don't have much space left on drive C, but drive D is just fine on space.
