  1. Why the heck is Akari still with us? Could it be that he actually likes us? And Chris? And if most of the team has moved to NWN2, then how will the PC version (that was largely unfinished) be finished? Will you just port it over from X-box and tweak it? Is it time to leave yet?
  2. Grab out your editin' tools, boys and gahls, because it's time for the word of the day. Brought to you by Spellcheck and Dictionary.com "id
  3. Why? Not what? Odd. Everyone is answering what. I actually don't know if I'll get KOTOR2. I'd like to, however the excitement has kind of "worn off". Unless something that picks my brain is released, I'll probably just play it as a "casual" gamer instead of my usual mad puzzling. Which means I'll play it for an hour, go eat dinner, then forget about it again. Then again, if the game is challenging and fun in the first five minutes, I'll probably be playing this game till I die. Read the reviews. Don't post on the forum. Manage to stay excited until Febuary. Maybe Mr. Avellone could send out some weekly ramblings to the PC'ers in an undisclosed location. That'd keep the excitement up.
  4. Soldier/Consular was more effective than Soldier/Guardian or Smuggler/Consular, I found.
  5. He's being sarcastic and rather cruel to the people who don't perform searches. Pity. He knows better. You're just fueling him. <_<
  6. Why are you talking about Neverwinter Nights? Wait. . .why are you talking about KOTOR? . . .My brain!
  7. I wonder how they'll pull that one off in regards to a Revan action figure. Both a male and female version sold seperately? Or perhaps two figures in one box? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Revan would almost certainly be Darth Revan. The movies help sell the action figures, the books, the games, and vice versa. I bet they figure that KOTOR will do the same thing. Though spending $7 to see a Star Wars movie is much different than spending $50 for a new game.
  8. Quickly! Spam the forums and you may get 1,000 more! Or, like the rest of us, you can perform cruel and sarcastic deeds to earn posts.
  9. Goodlord! Mr. Avellone, can you at least give us a rough estimate of how many combinations there are under the sun?
  10. So if those *things* decrease there ability with everything else then would the same be true for combat? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most fighter chicks have smaller than usual. Except in most video games, where they hit "grape fruit" big. Besides, DEX in games is usually a measure of overall quickness, not quickness of the arms. I can't believe we're talking about this with 14-year-old-boys around.
  11. Bastilia was just an apprentice when the jedi under Revan went to battle with the madalorians. As in. . .Bastie is slightly older than Mission (13/14). From what I gathered, the "threat" of the Mandalorians happened maybe 9 years before KOTOR. If Bastie is 16, then she'd have been seven when Revan went off (which is about the right age, considering the fact that she was given to the Order when she was 6.) and so she'd most certainly be shorter. Puberty = growth.
  12. Pluto isn't useless. It's microgravity helps keep earth in place. And if earth moved even a smidget, all life on earth could be greater than or equal to poof.
  13. Have you ever seen those things on their chests? They make all sports hell. Especially archery and fencing. I'm sure that you can imagine why. Besides, we women have a natural grace that most men don't have, so nyeh!
  14. I haven't had any trouble with going for turned base to twitch. In fact, I don't think I've ever really had interface trouble. I still don't get why some people complain about black and white's interface. <_<
  15. If I got a "real" chance? I don't know what I'd do. It depends on the situation I was in. I'd like to think that I'm compassionate enough to not kill countless people, but we humans can do crazy things.
  16. The corpses of them. I can only imagine. In Party NPC: *picks up a corpse* PC: Hey? What are you doing? NPC: *starts to move the soldiers jaw with his/her hands* Hey, there, Exile! My name is Corpus Corpsumus! PC: *looking at NPC queerly* I. . .uh. . .nice to meet you, Mr. Corpse? Sion (from behind the PC): The pleasure is all mine.
  17. Dios mio. What Obsidian is doing is creating a GAME for you to ENJOY. You're not being FORCED to buy it. Nobody is TYING YOU DOWN and saying "GET KOTOR2 OR MR. SNUGGLES GETS IT!" You don't have to buy it if you don't get your precious X-BOX LIVE. "Oh, I won't be getting some new skins to choose! Boo-hoo!" If you want to be able to download content off the net, you buy the PC version. People here take the time to do that, and they don't even get paid for it. They do it because it's something that they like to do. Not because they make "big buckz!" off of Obsidian's game. They don't make any money. They're the gamers. The fact is, your X-Box live was causing problems with KOTOR2. They couldn't get everything done on time if they had included it. And sorry, the consumer does not dictate the release, the publisher dictates that. If you want a game that updates continually and is less than good because of a most likely rushed release (when it came out, there were no vehicles!): go play Star Wars Galaxies. Note: I am sorry if this has offended you, but know that everyone else is in the same boat. And when it comes down to it, some new weapons and armour doesn't really dent the story.
  18. I make siggys and avatars. Do you like my new siggy? :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wear hats.
  19. Women get +dex because they actually have stronger leg muscles than a man. Supposedly we also have a natural grace, but that may just be men watching us do. . .certain things. Men have more muscle mass on their arms and chest.
  20. Hey, you got any of us female types working at Obsidian? For a slightly more serious question: I am considering a career in video games, (design or art. They're both so wonderfully delightful!) and I have a wee bit of experience with both of these fields. (I built an area on a MUD, much loved and loathed, and I'm taking a Graphics Design course.) My problem is that while I have loved the design part, I'm still not sure on how to get myself organized. :D Do you have any suggestions on general classes to take, things to study, things to look out for, or any tips on game/player balance? Peace, love, and happiness to you, Morgan man! You will be missed by the KOTOR2'ers. Goodluck with NWN2 as well.
  21. One of the early star wars movies was known as "something something whils". Or something like that. "Whil" is the accepted term of the species by mudders and the like. I believe all of their spiecies are long aged and force sensitive. It's just that they don't have many kids.
  22. [usual tired humor]You can't make me play a man! And my exile will always say revan is female! ARGH! Hrm. Wasn't it said that they're shooting for "Fallout-like" endings? That implies you get to see the impact of your actions for each planet. That equals ULTIMATE REPLAYABILITY! Rawrgh. That's so great and awesome, I have no words to describe it.[/end usual tired humor] However, I'd like something to encourage me to play the games another way (such as playing as a guy. I have no real love for male characters, they feel dull to me.) such as something noticeable. For example, I'd play PS:T for the story, not for the sole thrill of playing a guy and getting to compare how "leet" my character is online. [sarcasm]Visible as in: Men get +1 or +2 to STR, Chicks get +1 or +2 to Dex, Int, and Cha. [/sarcasm] While speaking of desirable genderness/otherthingies: Let's say frame size! And trait-like (a la falliut) feats! I have about 100 saved games in KOTOR. All from favorite conversations, facing malak, making a game affecting choice (to kill the kitty or not to kill the kitty; that is the question!)
  23. I believe the PC is the one with the red saber. Malak has a purple saber behind him ( a la the critical strike motion). Bastie indeed looks like she is running towards you. However, why wouldn't all the Jedi (notice we have to evil sith robes around us!) try to cripple a sith? Notice the caption underneath. Could it be possible that these "ghosts" of allies are trying to turn you? That they're like the "vader" that luke encountered on degobah? Back on handmaiden: I could see the clone idea working. But to me, she doesn't really look a lot like Atris.
  24. They could be pulling the "ole switcharoo", as seen in Episode One.
  25. Eh. Maybe. Maybe not. I may be a fat, ugly old guy who can't get a date, or I may just be a chick with lots of time on her hands (ultimate gamer chicks we be! arrrgh.). You decide. Oh. Option one isn't right, if you were going to pick that.
