  1. Teehee. I've been saying that for a while. "I'd laugh so hard if Atris wasn't one of your companions" Who's laughing now! Muhahaha!
  2. good post; i fully agree and i'm soooo glad i am not an american. when i see what the americans chose and why they chose them; i'm glad i live in a liberal country like norway. we have our problems, but they're small potatoes compared to you guys. i feel sorry for the liberals in the us now; they'll have to struggle with the religous right for four more years. a bit sad, but what are you gonna do when 70 million americans call themselves evangelists(or crazy people as i like to call them)... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mental note: Move to Norway. The President of the United States has power to: Suspend congress Declare martial law Send congress home and rule in an "emergency" Suspend elections Declare war (...depends on the definition of war...) Basically anything they want. The constitution allows for a lot, including possible tyrrany. Such is life. Unless things become really bad, I will probably be staying here in my purely democratic state. Plus, considering who we have who just won a seat, it looks like it'll be an interesting four years. Hmm. Which middle eastern country do you think we'll declare war on next?
  3. The world may not end, but the younger generation of people who are just about coming of voting age will want it to. They'll be hated by a lot of countries, they'll end up paying 3trillion+ USD, and they'll have to pay for the baby boomers! SUCKERS! Meanwhile the rich will continue to have their taxcuts. And they'll be able to afford going overseas for abortions and stemcells. {Note: If this offended you, please realize that I don't think bad of you if you're pro- what was shown here. People are seperate entities and individual, and a few beliefs does not determine if they are good or bad.}
  4. They could start by hiring Jessica Urquhart. Her "news" page on the old BIS website was often quite special. Sort of miss it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I barely remember that.
  5. In one thread I believe Akari says that he's occassionally surprised at how correct we are. Besides, it's fun and gives us something to do. If you have a problem with it, you don't read the threads. They're not hurting you personally.
  6. Hmm. I wonder if Obs. has any female devs? If not, let's pester them to hire one. They are, supposedly, high in demand.
  7. Hmm. If Handmaiden and Marr-person are the same chick. . . Huh.
  8. More locations and more sidequests kinda go with each other.
  9. I'm female, I'm a gamer. That makes. . .what, three?
  10. Akari, you have stuck with us through thick and thin. When we were deprived of information, you slipped us subtle hints to gnaw on. Not only are you an awesome developer, but you are also a good pal. Goodluck to you on your next project. :D We KOTOR-ites will surely miss you when you are gone.
  11. The site seems to imply that there isn't once choice that makes you DS/LS for the final ending, but many. Any info on this?
  12. I would laugh so hard if Atris couldn't become a party member.
  13. Atris hasn't been abandoned, her name just isn't on the site yet. If you guys haven't noticed, a lot of people aren't on the site yet. (HK-50, Bao-Dur, Mr. Pet, etc.) My guess is that she plays a key part in the story, and won't be released until later.
  14. You men and your opinions on beauty. <_<
  15. I'm not to keen on it. Angry colours! Looks like they're trying to make a Romana 2 clone with the chick. I didn't really like her. And where, where, where is the scarf?
  16. Lightsabres were already the most overpowered in the game. What you're suggesting is just plain silly. Romance doesn't make a game. KOTOR is still an RPG. RPGs are ment to be better, more interesting, and in the long run more fun than FPSs. They're carefully created. Take what haircolour romance person you get. <_<
  17. Banning is censorship, and every player has a right on the 'net to speak his or her mind. Plus they may have a good idea later on. Ahem. It also looks as though Akari has taken care of the polls. I just hope ways are found to keep it from happening as much. Thanks Akari and Obsidian. You have, once again, saved us from a world of pain and suffering.
  18. There will be no day/night cycle. I believe it was said that the system couldn't handle it. I don't know about the weather. From the videos it looks like weather is never ending. Winter for life!
  19. The polls in the KOTOR 2 forum are out of control. It's downright ridiculous to have just two topics (not counting stickies) that are NOT polls. Most of the polls are just stupid. They're one or two sentences sentences long and barely contain any information relevant. While it's understandable to want to get what people are saying, you can make an intelligent poll that covers information that's either new or not been thought up, or you can search for the kind of item you were going to post on and "ressurect a dead topic". There are two ways I can imagine limiting this sea of polls: 1. Limit the number of polls you can make in a certain period of time. (Like 5 polls per week per person.) 2. Limit the time you have before posting a new poll (Like every 5 hours, you can post another poll, basically the same as above.) While the moderators are great people and are doing there jobs, I would imagine that even they would have trouble with this. Not only that, but they have lives outside of this forum that we have to consider. I hope nobody took this as an offence to them. There are a few people who make intelligent polls that generate great conversation, and there are some people who's polls degenerate into random bashings. While those polls are amusing (to a point) they are extremely annoying to sort through. Thank you for your time.
  20. 2700 years. That's not enough time for any really advanced evolution. Plus they have no environment to adapt to. (like humans loosing the hairyness of monkeys after the ice age. ) I watched Farscape for the first few years, but this is like "Classic" Farscape. Bravo!
  21. Did anyone notice that if you took off Trask's clothes, he had no undies, just the same old clothes? Justa thought.
  22. Wow. Short, sweet, and to the point. Whenever you pick up a new game, it's a gamble. A game is a fine balance between action and story, and enough little features to keep the player interested. One thing that KOTOR has as a major problem is the huge lack of replayibility. There's practically nothing new to find the 3rd or 4th time around. All side quests you never have to go out of your way to do; you can do them on the run. KOTOR's main focus was on the overall story that it's easy to forget what stories usually have: underlying themes. These themes are what makes a story not just a story about "Joe, the Jedi who kills other things with his stick" but "Joe, the Jedi who contemplated all the things people said to him, trained with the sith, learned basket-weaving, and helped free a dog from his cruel owner". The fact that you have these little themes are what makes a side-quest possible. A game can be fun if it's just go kill things, but isn't it more fun when it's more frusterating? More of a challenge? KOTOR 2 will change some of these things that KOTOR failed on. It will be a different game. There will be no Revan prancing around in his/her undies, but someone new. People may not like that they're gonna be doing something new, but new is better. Just not to traditionalists. KOTOR 2. Don't worry about it, because it's going to happen if you like it or not. Sit back and enjoy the ride. It's bound to be good.
  23. The "stick" is the quarterstaff nobody except me used in the first game.
