  1. That's not a contradicting statement though. It's all about controlling the character and positioning.
  2. Also Crackling Bolt (from gloves) and Ball Lightning (from the weapon) IIRC. Also Nature's Terror hit everyone last time I checked. So even without Static Charge, there is a ton of friendly fire going on. The build is still fine if you don't mind a lot of micro, just not as overpowering as it used to.
  3. Likely indented. Base duration of invisibility is very low, and if it broke after one hit, the ability would be garbage.
  4. And much weaker too, which is very unfortunate, because that build is so cool. Why have fun when you can have balunz though.
  5. Resonant Touch and Gambit are "4"? Have you even tried these abilities or is this just another "I only have to read descriptions to know what I'm talking about", like we had with equipment not too long ago?
  6. The Fate Testarossa is a build that deals a lot of friendly fire damage. If you ignore that and just put in some builds that you feel are cool, you will destroy yourself instead of POTD.
  7. Spell books give you unique spell options, and sometimes additional effects (like a grimoire that gives +1 all level casts). They are far from pointless.
  8. Which multis do you consider bad? Very specific class combos. Like anything with Evoker. Caster/caster multis are generally mediocre. Loremaster is iffy because both Wizard and Chanter have better MC options (also used to be amazing before patches). Same with Shepherd. Same thing with Itinerant.
  9. Holy crap, there is one indeed. I still doubt that soloing these mega bosses will be possible tho.
  10. There is no "solo official mode" of any kind. It's your choice if you don't take any companions with you, but that's not really an intended way to play the game.
  11. Druid's Maelstorm is not worse than Wizard's spells. Additionally, Lifegiver is a beast of a support. I do think that Tekehu's subclass is better offensively than what Watcher can have, because he does have one advantage over the Wizard: you can put him on auto-pilot. As a Wizard, you have to target your spells to not blow up your team, but Tekehu doesn't care about that. Druid multi (other than maybe Shifter) feels lacking, until you realize that having a Paladin/Lifegiver support character means that your party never dies. Priest of Berath is a fantastic nuker late-game, who also brings AoE buffing potential, which is something a Wizard doesn't have. While multiclassing with a martial class gives you a warrior with very good damage output and massive survivability. A Skaen/Helwalker Contemplative is very strong, and if we ever get Woedica without mod.. will be even better. Ciphers are the only class in the game that can restore other's resources, which is a massive boon. Ascendant Cipher is a great nuker, especially if you go single-class. You have very strong AoE and single-target damage options, and they're all Foe only! The moment you unlock Time Parasite, nothing will stand in your way. As a multi, I love playing a CC oriented Trickster/Beguiler. This is something I've said in one of the other threads some time ago: every class is strong if you know how to build and play it. Some multiclass combinations are indeed bad (mostly due to nerfs), but the classes themselves are all fine.
  12. "I have to destroy the world and create a new one" sounds like a motivation for every jRPG main villain ever :D
  13. Is it possible to set up an AI script that does the weapon switch>ability use rotation?
  14. Outclassed? Hardly. Depends on what you're looking for, really. So you're saying that Rogues and Paladins (oh gawd especially Paladins) have much better PL8 and 9 abilities than a Fighter? Because that is not the case at all. If you're hatin', hate all classes equally, don't gang up on the poor Fighter :< The only non-caster class that has truly attractive PL8 and 9 abilities is the Monk. Maybe Ranger. Everyone else are better off going multi.
  15. Obsidian managed to create a very negative community. I'm almost impressed. Obsidian forum: not the place where you look for sunshine and rainbows. They probably don't care anyway. <even though you're all probably right :D>
  16. I agree. But. The problem is that pure casters are already very strong. If you give them passives that further improve their abilities, you will drown in QQ flood.
