They have officially killed Baldur's Gate for me. This is just DOS3 that is trying to cash in on BG name. Absolutely disgusting. Fortunately I am not a slave to nostalgia so I'm glad to know in advance that I need to look elsewhere for my gaming needs

Whoops. Yeah. Eder DOES feel like the best written character in the game by far. Eric Fenstermaker did a great job with him. It is very unfortunate that Chris Avellone did not write anything for Deadfire companions, because his Durance was pretty neat too, but hey at least he wrote Jubilost in Kingmaker

This build is so effective that I was considering building my whole team around it. 3 of these with immunity to flanked gear, Tactician/Wizard for unlimited nukes and maybe a support in the last slot. Ultimately, I've decided against it since I like variety, but I'm running Eder with this setup and he's a monster tank.

Has anyone played any of Atelier games
Manveru123 replied to Melusina's topic in Computer and Console
I'm interested about getting into Atelier too. Can someone please tell me: How's the gameplay? Similar to old Final Fantasy titles, or is this another action RPG crap? Similar to any other game? How cheesy is the story and characters? Is this the standard where a female character spends the whole game abusing the male hero verbally and physically despite having hidden feelings for him, which of course she won't admit because baka? Or is it something worth checking out? -
Too late, she's already dead. But like I said before, other characters never perma die, and they also have low level and 0 gear so each ship combat there's a trail of bodies on the deck. So it would seem that if character gets injured while in the party, these injuries remain and they can die during ship combat. But if the character was not injured in the party, then he can die as many times as he wants and will always get back up after combat. Well to me that is an inconsistency at the very least and it's worth fixing.

I have removed Xoti from my team as soon as I reached Neketaka. Completely ignored her afterwards.. until I started doing ship combat (boarding). For each combat, the game assigns you a few random party members to help out. They are controlled by the AI. Normally, when a character like this is defeated, he is simply knocked out and gets up after combat, which is how it works on my save. Not for Xoti, though. When Xoti is defeated, she perma-dies. Just like that. This is very annoying because I have to either hope that she doesn't appear during the ship combat at all, or that her AI doesn't let her kill herself. I'll probably just let her die to avoid the headache, but I'd recommend fixing this for the future.
