  1. It's probably statement in one of the games fake languages. Looks Aedyran
  2. There hasn't been a patch since January and they haven't said anything about doing another one even though some of the DLC items are still bugged, so at this point I think you can consider the game complete
  3. There's nothing about that in the beta. In general it's best not to expect a whole lot of difference based on that kind of stuff, I'm anticipating some dialogue changes, maybe a couple of different quest resolutions or changes to companion relationships, missives from old companions, that kind of thing. In the Fig campaign they said Aloth gets different equipment based on how things with him ended previously, but I don't know if that's still happening
  4. I imagine it's a pet as that lets you use it in addition to quick slot items, giving it more value and making it more distinctive as an item. It would be cool to have a little pet book flying around with you though, like Grimoire Weiss in Nier.
  5. I've played through Pillars as a lovely nice and selfless character and done just fine. There's no shortage of equipment, experience, cash and bonus talents however you play.
  6. I guess it really would have been complicated to fix the pirate outfits. Oh well, it's only annoying when the character is behind an object or the outfit is being worn by a male.
  7. Yeah, the models on the pirate outfits still need to be fixed; not sure how easy it'd be to do that since I've never seen any other item have this problem so it's presumably not as simple as checking a "goes transparent in scouting mode" box
  8. Laughing at the thought of my character arriving at Twin Elms having escaped the riots and making a beeline for the bar saying "I need to have a beer!"
  9. Having at least X of a stat is always nerve wracking. It's good fun though to be able to say "I had to eat a dragon egg and have sex with a prostitute named Big Durmsey, to level up my hat"
  10. The hat requiring you to drink at every inn is a neat little touch. I hope in Pillars 2 there are more soulbound items like that with requirements outside of just doing stuff in combat.
  11. Hold down the Tab button, one of the dragon skulls will be highlighted in blue to show you can interact with it. It's the eastern most skeleton and the only one south of the road
  12. Early on the main quest directs you towards a place called Caed Nua. Try to do as few quests as possible before going there. There's a mechanic that is introduced at a certain point after you've been there, where certain items and events become available depending on what "turn" you are on, and turns are advanced whenever you progress a quest. You won't miss out on MUCH if you do all the quests you can before going there (and it can be a bit difficult so the xp could come in handy) but the completionist in me just hates leaving potential loot on the table
  13. If you look in the conversations folder there's some text that suggests you were originally meant to find these items in the world. There's a description of finding Fulvano's Blunderbuss behind the ear of a giant statue(presumably at the top of the Endless Paths), the sabre stuck in a tree in Gilded Vale(presumably THE tree) and your steward originally just gave you the soulbounds as presents from a foreign land or something.
  14. You're not railroaded into believing Iovara, in fact you ask her if it's really true and she says you'll have to get proof from Thaos
  15. Not quite. Those digital stuffs like novellas, OST are not. Also.. many publishers like THQ Nordic gave me TQ Anniversary when i only has the vanilla version. Obsidian are looking big on money and not about good reputation with players. Look at CDPR giving out free DLCs. are you kidding, you fell for that "free DLC" PR campaign. How noble of them to not ask me to pay for a few hairstyles and a new game plus mode
  16. There's just two. If she kills Harmke, she realises that getting revenge has done nothing for her, and walks the earth. If she lets him go then she never has that realisation and carries on hunting the people who destroyed Cold Morn until she gets torn apart by a mob. The killing Harmke ending isn't happy, but I find it kind of a satisfying note for her to go out on.
  17. Basically level 12 down have cool stuff for you, yeah
  18. It 100% should. It should have a huge effect on prices as well, since if it did affect them that would be the only thing it affected in the whole game
  19. My favourite little-appreciated aspect of the OP is that the amount of time the game has been out increases as the post goes on, culminating in "half a decade"
  20. Galawain is my dude, but in case it makes a difference in the next game I've got some rough ideas for characters who'd side with the other gods. There's 11 gods and 11 classes so it works out pretty well- one character to side with each god (Eothas is a wild card but I figure he'd probably like the Hylea option). I guess I should also make some promises and break them at the end, just in case that comes up in the next game too...
  21. It also steers the rebellious towards violent acts instead of true revolution. Potentially-rebellious people see what rebellion brings (the Effigy etc) and decide it's too nasty for them. Society keeps trundling on as the Engwithans want it. Only Iovara says "the gods aren't real" and she immediately clarifies that she means they're not gods, they're powerful artificial intelligences constructed by mortals so that the world would run according to their desires.
  22. It's been said that companions can change their opinion of you based on your actions, but for the returning companions will the things they react to be fixed? Aloth, for example, can end PoE1 either loving or hating the Leaden Key and suppression of forbidden knowledge; he could have highly different reactions to a quest where you beat up a bunch of Leaden Key cultists.
  23. Got to the bit where you turn on the white forge again, and I remembered this post I have to say the chant 100% the right call and really adds to the moment.
