  1. In the first game she actually wasn't sure her orders would be best in the long run for the republics. She was torn between loyalty to her ducs and loyalty to her country
  2. Times are tough, but the DLC is worth whatever free time your capitalist overlords allow you
  3. The text box search feature is actually better- just type "pistol" and it'll show you only the pistols in your inventory. Same for "head" "shield" "feet" etc
  4. You'd have to go back to the previous autosave before you selected the battle- you can't change difficulty during the fight
  5. Every battle in the arena from now on will be at Classic if you switch to Classic. If you really want to keep it casual you may be best switching to Storytime, the DLC fights are pretty gnarly
  6. Yeah it's one of those things that as a wizard I like being able to ask about but as a game with 10 other classes it's not really reasonable to expect much content in that direction. I like to think I transcend some stuffy old wizards' circle anyway by having the ears of the gods themselves
  7. To get her to appear you need to be attacked by Woedican or Magranite cultists in a random encounter in Neketaka. She'll then be available to speak to at Marihi's Metalwork in Periki's Overlook. If you've completed two DLC you can have her make the Chain Of Rightful Authority; if you've completed all three DLC you can have her make the Crown Of The Exiled Queen
  8. The gods used to have physical bodies but gave them up after Abydon was killed. Eight of them were left at the Wheel in Ukaizo, Abydon's remained at the site of his death in the White March, the fate of one is a *mystery* and the final one is Wael's. Wael hypothesises that he hid it and then erased his own memory of hiding it. As for why it's so big, it's hard to say. The gods' bodies were constructed and might function differently from natural bodies; maybe they just keep growing as long as they're alive and nourished?
  9. If you're holding weapons in your hands and wave your hands around to cast spells then something that makes your hands go faster also making your weapons and spells go faster seems intuitive enough
  10. I wonder how easy it is to convert one system to the other from either end?
  11. If I had made a list of things I expected to be patched into the game eight months after release, a turn-based mode wouldn't have even been on it. It seems completely insane- to make it work even passably well you'd need to basically design a new set of mechanics from the ground up and design every ability, item and enemy to use the new mechanics in a way that makes sense. I'm wondering if it's something experimental they were trying and had no plans to put it in the game until they were sure it worked. The UI looks more detailed than you'd think for a placeholder though
  12. I can't remember the details but they changed some stuff so it won't trigger until you've done the companion's sidequest
  13. That happened to me a ton in the DLC and with one or two megabosses. I think it sucks because I'm not sure how you could realistically plan for it
  14. I figured they killed her body and dumped it somewhere, like a mob hit
  15. Blightheart- I love the story Animancer's Energy Blade- it looks insanely cool Glacierbane- Another one where I just love the look. I'm a sucker for warhammers in general Lord Darryn's Voulge- I love to sail with this bad boy into a storm Seeker's Fang- Fierce!
  16. At the very end when you get to the Wheel, the narration mentions that there are eight alcoves underneath and all but three of them have skeletons in. Personally my money is on Woedica; it makes the most sense to me that she was deposed before Ondra's moon drop, and they may well have deposed her by destroying her body
  17. Check out the date that article was posted.
  18. The Oracle seems to have waaaaay too much HP for me. Or its defenses are too strong. Pro tip: bring a rogue with Gouging Strike, land a hit on the Oracle, then turn on any invisibility powers you have and go hide at the other end of the arena. Gouging Strike will continue to do Raw damage to the Oracle until it dies, and because it can't see you it'll just hang out doing nothing like an idiot. It's cheesy, but this boss merits it I think!
  19. Yeah, what "profit" means can be malleable. What did Netflix get out of funding Bright and Arrested Development? It's not like anyone is buying them
  20. Well, remember Obsidian is owned by Microsoft now. If Microsoft wants POE3 then it'll get made, and they're at the kind of size where there may be considerations other than profit that go into that decision
  21. I didn't think to talk to Tayn about the book. Something for next playthrough! Kudos to whoever wrote Tayn by the way, he's a charming jackass and I consider him to be my large chaotic son.
  22. I've been considering going even further than that mod and making the soulbounds upgrade to Mythic. I mean, they're ultra-rare magic items right?
  23. I hope someday we can live in a world where money doesn't matter. I hope someday we can live in a world where people play games without giving a **** about how much money they make because it doesn't actually matter *TO YOU OR YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE GAME*.it potentially could- more income from the game is potentially more money to keep people on for post-launch work like patching in additional features and DLC. I don't have any real complaints about the DLC and post-launch support, but could they have fixed a few more bugs or added that fifth megaboss if more people had bought the game? How much bigger could the DLCs have been if a few more people had worked on them? These theoretical questions are the only real way my experience is affected by sales
  24. It's no mistake if it's not them paying for it!
