Mod Requests
house2fly replied to peardox's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
Per rest/per encounter is pretty much just a line of text, BMac used it as an example in the tutorial. Number of casts/abilities and hp per level are as well, not regenerating health I'm not sure about but possibly -
Yeah, if their health runs out. Presumably you're healing them because the fight is more winnable with them in it, so if you heal them hopefully their health won't drop to 0 and you can win the fight and rest after. If a party member's health is as low as their endurance in a fight you're not far from resting anyway

This might be people just waiting for the bugs to be ironed out. I have bought the game, but I'm not playing it until much much later. Mainly due to bugs and DLC's Very possibly, but today's media environment is a constant deluge of content. People taking their eyes off your game is dangerous, because it's trivial for them to find something else to play.

It seems to have real trouble retaining players- after nearly two months, less than 1% of players have finished the game, and only 55% have got the "founded a barony" achievement, which presumably you get early in the game. It's sold well but might be close to hitting its cap. Maybe this big patch will turn things around- player count has more than doubled since I last looked, so it's probably given them a boost.

They don't need an excuse, is the thing. Aloth is, what, in his 60s? Eder is a combat veteran. They both start the first game at level 1, and nobody cares. Sagani has been wandering the world for years, Hiravias is a nomad who lives off the land. Zahua was a tribal chieftain and briefly invincible! None are higher level than you when you meet them, nobody cares

People who aren't completionist probably don't care one way or another about hitting the level cap. Though if Obsidian does slow XP gain, the non-completionist people will have a more annoying time due to getting less levels. For that reason I think the best solution would be to cap power levels but raise XP levels to, say, 25. That would give multiclass characters enough levels to hit power level 9 by the time they hit the very last level, still keeping them behind single class characters but letting them advance all the way- assuming there are 25 levels' worth of experience in the game+DLCs. You need so much more XP per level that there may well not be! Maybe what I'll do is raise the level cap myself and take a character through everything to see how high a completionist can get

Probably azata nui shells. Those are currency, so they don't appear in your inventory- the number of them you got is multiplied by their monetary worth and the total is added to your available funds. Say your funds were 100cp and you got 20 azata nui shells. They're each worth 5cp, so your funds after picking the shells up would be 200cp. Here's a page of the currencies used in the games; some of them are a bit esoteric! https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Currency
