Josh Sawyer's mod is excellent if you prefer a tough game where scavenging is important, also the Sprint Mod is essential for me. Slight aside, borne of Sawyer's blogpost: I ****ing HATE chess.

Obamacare Guarantees Higher Insurance Premiums

I'm going to through this in, for the hell of it: In terms of domestic policy only, the USA needs to become more federal and less centralising. Given the disparate needs and resources of the different states, it's just mental to suggest they should all have the same provisions. Hell, we don't even have a single system for everything in UK and we're smaller than some single states. -

Mind you, Bruce. The US governmental system is ALL about compromise. Any system which has one man filibuster capability is about compromise. The real question I'd ask is whether the US government is even capable of governing, or whether it was designed to fail! -
My favourite comment is about this being consistent with the creationist historical view. Who knew creationism could be so sexy?

I've always found they remind me of the woodgrain on a violin. Fun fact: if you are a man and lift weights really hard your muscles grow faster than your skin and you'll get stretch marks like that. And they're permanent. I have them on my shoulder/chest area. If it's all the same to you, old boy, I'm going to continue to associate them with curved hips and swan necks. Not your terrifying pectorals.- 526 replies

Bruce, while I can follow your point about mandate for Obamacare, I don't think it carries weight. Voting levels are very low in the US. I don't think anyone in any of tehir elections can really claim a full popular mandate. -

You've obviously never waited 30 mins for a bus in a downpour or walked a fair distance. Walking around soaked isn't all that fun to be honest - though it was fun to wring all that water out of my khakis that one time. Just as long as it's not those massive golf umbrellas I see people with, it's a handy thing to have. I most certainly have! Firstly, if I was about to wait 30 minutes in the rain for a bus I'd take a taxi. This might happen twice a year, so the expense is negligible. Also I enjoy talking to taxi drivers. Secondly, in the event of needing to proceed on foot I would do so with coat neatly folded, sleeves rolled up, shoulders back. You don't notice the rain after about 2 minutes. In theory one might be embarassed about turning up to places soaked through. But I've always found that a cavalier disregard for the problem achieves more than fussing in with a wet umbrella like Mary ****ing Poppins. -

In the UK your treatment is judged solely on what are called QALYs (moderated by the case put by your GP or consultant). They are very very careful not to incorporate any 'extraneous' information into that process, such as what you look like. All cases are seen 'blind'. I am 100% confident that a UK provider wouldn't change your healthcare access based on - for example - your politics. Even if an individual in the system wanted to they'd have to risk being fired just to get the information. Never mind altering the outcome of a panel decision. Guarding your rights and freedoms does not mean panicking at shadows. I can't believe a chap with your background could be so bloody jumpy. -
It took me about 5 years to get really used to working from home. - I socialise with anyone I don't meet regularly at least every couple of months. - If I'm working on something with a remote worker I call them in the morning, and in the evening. Something like a scrum; if you know the methodology - I accept I'm not going to be able to avoid distractions, so I try to allow for them. - I accept that I'm going to work longer hours, although this is offset by no commute - I bought a few really REALLY good dressing gowns. It's still not great though.

Pro tip: ramble in your draft. Pro tip: don't post the draft. -
What I love is that Google/Youtube knows I listen chiefly to blues rock and Italian opera. Yet it persists in showing me adverts for screeching RnB 'artists' who appear to have been inflated with a footpump then spraypainted gold.

I find that it is easier for me to maintain my (relatively) enlightened stance on real bigtory and racism by directing all the latent venom towards elves. Because they are fictional. And the French. For the same reason.

Things I don't have: - Tailored black suit - Black suits are for vanity only - Brown dress shoes - Which YOU will wear to the coffee shop. You c*** - A weekend bag - if by weekend bag you mean something made of badly stitched leather, which I rather think is what you mean, you c***. - Grooming kit. - Good disposable razors and a good multitool perform every function I might require. - An expensive chefs knife - I have a working chef's knife with a good broad blade that I keep sharp by sharpening it on the underside of crockery. - An umbrella - The only reason you need an umbrella is to protect a cheap suit from getting wrinkled. You c*** - Jumper cables - "even if you don't own a car?" What about a ****ing livery stables? Or a football stadium? - A lint roller - So you can feel like mumsy? - Sunglasses - A record player - Football/soccerball/darts etc. - I don't need to gaze at other men in order to do exercise - A french press - If I'm going to drink **** coffee I'm going to do it from instant - Good underwear - I walk almost everywhere, meaning all my pants wear out fast - A bar set - Which will gather dust because no one wants to drink with the kind of c*** who think spa towels are important - One bottle of decent booze - What's the ****ing point of only one bottle? You lonely pointless c***. Things I have but don't give a **** about: - A nice wallet - which I never use - Cologne - which I rarely use - Wine key - As emergency backup. Because pulling corks isn't a test of manhood. You c***. - Spa towels - These are for guests - Undershirts - Why the **** would they go yellow in the armpits? What the **** are you eating? -

I don't believe this is about Obama per se. My own perspective is that medical insurance in the USA is too high. But the cartel which has created that overinflation is sensible enough to react to threats to its cartel. It is doing so, equally sensibly, by drawing on simmering resentment over the bloated federal government. I appreciate and concede the position as explained by Gfted1 on previous occasions. This is that the federal government cannot be trusted to take action. However, if I were an American I would be incandescent with fury that a private cartel would use the legislature to hold me to ransom using a government shutdown. -
Wals what are you doing, the text on the pic is so small my eyes bleed like geysers when I try to read it. I couldn't find a bigger one. Can't you save it and zoom in or something?

Just played Melkathi and won! 1-0 Tight game. Lost one player, tried earnestly to kill his others. Great handoff then short pass out of a ruck nearly got me a second TD. In the last couple of turns the Sonatine crowd could be heard taunting the dark elves by singing: You're not praising! You're not praising! You're not praising any more! Yoooooou're not praising Khaine any more!
