Too much whining about gameplay?
Hm, i'm kinda surprised about you being saddened or surpised about this. No matter how good a game, there are always people who hate this or that with the power of a thousand suns, or extortionsts ("If you don't change/implement this or that minor quibble, i'll never buy a game from <Publisher> again") etc.. Especially if it's a new IP where players projected all their diverging wishes and someone just HAS to be disappointed. Also there are many questions that don't have a clear, objective answer, but are often a matter of taste, e.g. is limited rest a good design decision (some love it, some hate it, some want it changed to be even stricter, some confuse their opinion on it with fact etc.), I think it would be sad if a good game had predominantly bad reactions, but most reviews, customer/player ratings etc. are good to great.

The leveling and XP curve. What's wrong and the only way to fix it.
Bounty XP is definitely too high, they are just a (hard) fight basically - and pillars decided against fight xp. Right now they net more xp than a normal quest, they should recieve less xp than a normal quest imo, the great unique items should be sufficient reward. Other than that, i agree with the OP about an exponential scale for better late-game comparability.
- Confused by damage. My hits generally 4-10, people report 40+

What is point of non-rest areas (Lighthouse etc.); simply tedious and punitive
I always found the ability to saflely rest in non-cleared dungeons highly questionable. In a RPG-session, a sentinent dungeon-dwellers would use the time to create a death trap during your downtime and attack you while most of the party is asleep, but thats hard to recreate in CRPGs. Another problem, most dungeons are not dynamic and timeless, so you can go out, go to an inn, sleep and return to find it in exactly the same state you left it in (also not possible in RPG-sessions).

well 40+ isn't that much, if you consider buffs etc. Lets say you have 20might, +3 from item, +X from spell -> already lots of damage with a 2-h weapon. Several talents add a multiplier to melee damage (Weapon Specialization, Weapon Style, Modals), also the fine/exceptional/superb qualities on weapons.

So...the End...a bit anticlimactic, isnt it ?
Liked the ending, got me to think. Are gods fake just because they were created? We are talking about a pantheon of gods, not the monotheistic god of thora, bible and koran. They don't have a claim to have created existence, be all-seeing and omnipotent - so that's not a necessary part of the definition of their godhood. On the other hand, they take an active role in the affairs of mortals, reply to prayers, grant their priests special powers etc. So i'd say they are real and also deceptive and fallible, but it's not necessarily "good" to follow them.

PoE - Sales figures STEAM
If i remember correctly D:OS was released during the summer holidays and there was basically no competition, so total sales might be a better comparison. Also like you said, several AAA titles are currently released/about to be released: GTA5, Bloodbourne, The Witcher 3 are just the ones on my personal list.

Hard mode is too easy.
i had a hard time in hard mode till about level 6, but after that it started to get too easy. I think i got levels too fast, but generally that was the time it took me to really understand the combat system. Luckily i was able to change the difficulty to PotD mid game via IE Mod, and banned some spells for myself (anything with charm/dominate effects, and long duration paralyze).
- So is this game actually good?

I don't like that the right way to play this game is: sneak+fast mode
I actually liked the treasure hunt aspect in the game, little nuggets of purple happiness everywhere To find hidden traps and objects, you move slowly and carefully to have enough time to analyze your surroundings. Doesn't have to be sneaking, a slow walk would also fit. But running around, no.

Which Classes and Races new portraits would you like to see next?
I think variations might also be a fast and resource-friendly option to get more portraits (like in Shadowrun Returns). Or the option to just take a shot of the 2d Char and use it as a portrait (not default, i do prefer drawn portraits, but it might be a nice alternative for those with very rare combinations).

Some mobs don't give XP?
Well, the sky dragon has just two eyes, and only one can be found... (but i agree, really hard to upgrade to superior weapons if those ingredients are so limited)

Blood Sands - am i missing something?
Whats really strange is there are several named NPCs there, like Tallan in the entrance area, or Nica in the room east of the entrance, thas really seem to be part of some other questline, but i just cannot find it! Argh. Probably doesn't exist, but this is probably the last quest i will do until i HAVE to continue the main quest...

Can you respec?
Well, i just use the mod for resetting companions, and had no problems so far. The first version forced some HUD changes, but they are now optional. Doesn't mean i wouldn't like to see an ingame option, i just don't intend to wait for it.

Blood Sands - am i missing something?
All right, thanks for confirming this

PoE - Sales figures STEAM
While i hope they'll make a huge buckload of money, i also hope they still also create another kickstarter for their next games. Really enjoyed the whole KS experience, getting updates and seeing the game change, with backer beta discussions influencing actual changes etc. really felt a lot better than just the usual PR bs you usually get to see during development.

Patch for GoG users?
Nice, i must have missed the second patch (probably cause it didn't get an extra version number increase). In that case, i look forward to the GOG adaptation.
-
Can you respec?
Sure, but you can already respec using IE Mod, appearantly it won''t even disable achievements

Patch for GoG users?
You are aware the patch introduced all kinds of new bugs, right ? Look at the threads of steam users unable to loot chests etc.

Blood Sands - am i missing something?
I'm doing the God of Death questline now, and it seems i am supposed to kill the archdruid. Is there any way to accomplish this goal without attacking everyone? Also, are there any other quests related to Blood Sands (except the baby)? I found several named NPCs, so i kinda fear i'll destroy other quests if i just attack the druid. Also, just attacking kinda seems unsophisticated and one-sided. I't rather poison him, support a pretender to the throne or something else...

Companion's attributes update
IEmod on ability & talent selection via ChangeClasss is sufficient imo. Attributes fit the companions' personality, might not be very efficient, but i don't think they are that important

Dexterity => Accuracy ?
Only the ingame tutorial and tooltips are (mostly) reliable. The wiki has outdated information (from the beta), same as manual and errata. I think they'll correct the manual sooner or later (or some fan will), but unfortunately right now it's not the best source...

Is Ancient Memory worth it in 1.03?
I would suggest to get other talents first. Wouldn't say its completely useless now, but i certainly wouldn't take it as long as there are talents that improve ranged combat (or cloes combat if your chanter isn't ranged) aviable. Was a bit bummed out by the patch notes, chanters don't have any class-specific talents except this one, but compared to healing by priests, druids and potions the song wasn't that important in the first place (especially since endurance regenerates to full after combat automatically).

The combat system is terrible...
at lvl 9 your T1 spells become aviable per encouter, at lvl 11 your T2 spells also become aviable per encounter (easy to miss, since there is no UI indicator for this). Edit: missed the second part of your post somehow, sorry Sure, there are plenty of possible changes (including those) i would welcome. But the OP confused his personal preference with universal truth, and acted so extremely entitled, i just had to bite

The combat system is terrible...
Well, that's why you need to pay attention to the tutorial. Can't believe you missed the fun button, it's right next to the awesome button. And get some glasses.
