  1. Not just with KOTOR, but anytime I've run into tough spots in any game I've played I've just gone online to get help. I've never bought a strategy guide. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it's just that in this day and age of mass communication and online entertainment, all you have to do is go to Google and type in "tips for defeating Darth Bandon" or whatever and 200,000 sites pop up. Hell, you can probably download the strat guide online somewhere already.
  2. I like it. Looks dark and gritty. The box art I mean. Sorry, I'm a little late with this reply I know.
  3. At first I thought the idea that Revan was the end villain was a bad idea. Now, I don't know. It might be kind of cool, but in all honesty. I think people on here and RPG gamers in general would spot that from a mile away. It would be a major letdown. But only 8 more weeks to find out!!
  4. From the mouth of the Flanneled One himself. This is from an interview he did with Time magazine shortly before the release of TPM. I tried to quote it in a thread I had started a while back titled Architect of the Sith. I've been looking for it for awhile now but to no avail. But, thanks to theforce.net, I found it. This appears to be the official definition of the Sith.
  5. Hah, cool. Interesting. And I didnt realize all that stuff that guy said about the names Malak and Revan...how they were related to Hebrew. The cryptic writing on Darth Vader's chestpiece is also Hebrew........ Really?? What did it say?
  6. This is why I was hoping that ROTS (heh, rots) would've started off with a massive flashback sequence showing the last great battle between the Jedi Army of Light and the Brotherhood of the Sith. Wherein Darth Bane is the only survivor and...well you know the story. But anyway, it would have been cool to see something like that, maybe even in TPM to tie the whole Star Wars universe together, and explain to the casual fan and moviegoer who the Sith are and what exactly they represent. It would've also gone along way in showing where alot of the current lore comes from. Kinda like what Peter Jackson did with Fellowship.
  7. You're right. But, What? Aren't these pretty much a given? I mean, irregardless of the plotline, if you're playing LS you'll have to re-establish the Jedi Council, and if you're DS, you have to be THE Dark Lord. Unless of course, the ending is much more open-ended with an option of being morally gray. I'm not trying to be condescending or anything like that. I'm just saying, these outcomes seem more like an end result rather than an entire plotline. I mean, don't they seem more like consequences and not necessarily actions?
  8. We're actually trying to cut down on topics that have nothing to do with Sith Lords posted in this area. Just fyi.
  9. Actually I think it's just a variant of the word "dearth". But you might be right. I'd like to know who the first Dark Lord to use the name Darth, was. The early Sith Lords never used Darth. Such as Freedon Nadd, Naga Sadow, Exar Kun. It'd be interesting to find this out.
  10. I thought that was actually well "said". If you get my meaning. And someone said that Peter Mayhew, the actor that plays Chewbacca, is signed on for future movies. Not true. He's signed on for the television series that is supposed to take place after ep. 3. It is supposed to chronicle the adventures of Darth Vader and show people just why he is so feared.
  11. Exactly. Supershadow has been giving out fake Star Wars news for years. Back before Episode I came out, they posted the "official" script of the movie and claimed it was an exclusive. Sadly, their fake script should've been the real thing. And 2014? Lucas will be senile by then. If he's not already.
  12. *bunts GoA* Shush I've never been bunted before I totally thought that said you've never been blunted before.
  13. What exactly does this mean? I for one would love to see a female Sith Lord. It would be original, is long overdue, and after all (and I'm not trying to sound pompous or like an a-hole or anything like that) who could play evil better than a woman? Think about it. Her greatest strengths would have to be her cunning, her charisma, her manipulation and her ability to devise strategy. She wouldn't be as physically strong as her male counterparts, which is why she would have a very strong will and a really high intelligence. And since we men tend to be kinda weakminded when it comes to women anyway, her sensuality would be a damn near insurmountable weapon. Unless of course the guy is gay, but that's a discussion for a whole new thread. I guess the biggest proof of this argument came in the first KOTOR. All the times I played that game (more than I wish to admit) I mostly played as female because it was more interesting. And playing a DS female was the only way you could lure Carth into a relationship with you, turn that love against him, and then kill him when he refused to join you. There was no way to kill Carth as a male. As far as I know.
  14. Any speculation on the new bad guy's background? Also, since all Sith names are derived from some word (such as Vader, Sidious, Maul, etc.) where do you think the name Sion comes from? Is it from some mythology somewhere? Does it have some sort of religious meaning? All Star Wars names mean something after all. Any thoughts?
  15. I know this is off-topic, but I just have to say that posting a picture of John Merrick, aka the Elephant Man, was kind of cruel. Considering he was a real man that lived in unimaginable pain and torment. K, I'm done.
  16. Obi-Wan was in one piece afterwards. And how can you say with such confidence, that Obi-Wan would have lost? Sure he DID lose, distracting Vader from Luke. But had it been a fair fight... who knows what would happen? Hayden said in an interview that the final duel "justifies nicely." Apparently they explain just how Obi-Wan is able to defeat him while maintaining the context of Anakin being the most powerful Force practitioner in the history of the galaxy. We'll see.
  17. I find this intriguing as well. It's like you are able to bind someone to you throughout the course of the game. That'll just make you wanna play all the time because you'd be curious to see how your persuasions are effecting this certain character. It also presents an interesting challenge. If the character that sorta idolizes you has a high will power or intelligence, you'll have to find more subtle ways in which to seduce him/her to your cause.
  18. Male. I started the first Kotor as a female so I'll start this one as a guy. But when I play it the second time through, I'll play as a chick. They rawk.
  19. I would really like to see a female Dark Lord. It would be a change of pace and more provocative. Like some sort of a temptress.
  20. But that did not work on Malak, did it?! Actually it did. It didn't knock him off his feet or anything, but depending on your class it would knock him back a few feet and it would effect his health. That may not seem like a big deal but it can provide you with a few seconds you might need to inject a medpac or battle stimulant of some sort. Those few seconds could make a world of difference. You really only need Force Wave to win the game. In fact, I've heard folks say that it was TOO powerful. It made the game anti-climactic.
  21. I liked the female Revan when I played with the chick with black hair over her face and the ponytail. There was just something about her. She really seemed to fit the mold of the character. She looked great in the black robes and genuinely creepy and tough in Revan's robes. She would just glare at people with those red eyes. Her only drawback was that she tended to look like the bearded lady when she went darkside because of all the veins stickin' out of her face.
