  1. Any Star Wars romance done properly should make you cringe. Four words for you: Attack of the Clones. <_<
  2. Calling them "prestige" classes might be a misnomer - they work differently than prestige classes in the normal d20 system. That's all I can really say now, we might address it in a future designer diary. I actually asked that question before a few pages back. I'd be cool if they corrected this in KOTORII. Although I will say that if you are totally ds, some of the dialogue spoken to you by your party members was different in KOTOR1. like Bastila says to you early on something to the effect of "...you've already shown brashness and a complete lack of compassion to this point..." or something like that. but, all in all, you're pretty much treated the same way all game long despite your COMPLETE darkness. until you make The Choice on top of the temple, that is. and as an aside...I just want to say that the questions in this forum are awesome! i don't even have to ask anything. you guys rawk!!
  3. i couldn't agree with you more. whenver i played as a ds character it seemed you never really did anything that would qualify you as a dark lord, or even a former one. you just generally came off as a jerk. at least not until you kill your crew on the unknown world. making zaalbar kill mission was gut-wrenching. cool. but gut-wrenching.
  4. They need to give him a personality. I didnt observe any at all in the first game. In everysingle SW movie (Even in Episode III). R2-D2 has a scene in which he is saving a person's life: Episode I: Fixing that ship that the Queen was on and giving it the power to jump into hyperspace. Episode II: Saving Padme in the droid factory Episode III: (I would say but it would be a spoiler) Episode IV: Saving Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie from that garbage place. Episode V: I can't remember.... Episode VI: Helping Leia/Han open that door on Endor. So in every movie he did something memorable. In KOTOR he opened that locked door to the Sith Base, but that isn't really memorable. On the Leviathon instead of other characters being picked to rescue you, it should have been T3-M4 saving you in some way and form. Same thing should happen in KOTOR. That why his character would relate better to you as he has saved your life many times. Rather then just opening a door to a Sith Base.... in one of my games i used T3 to rescue the crew from the Leviathan, and the first time i played i took T3 into to Sith Base with me on Taris. and i got to tell ya (and i know prolly everyone will disagree with me) but T3 was the BEST character to control. but you have to take control of him, otherwise he's pretty useless. when you fight the Sith Governor on Taris, just take control of T3 and que up the other character's combat moves, and then just sit back and hit the stun ray repeatedly. the governor is usually stun, and then the other two characters just whup on him. onboard the Leviathan, man, T3 is damn near invincible. just change his outer plating to like, level 2 or 3, activate his energy shield, and then arm yourself with the advanced flame thrower. the baddies literally die with ONE blast. all of em. in fact it was really too easy. and there are countless other times on other worlds where T3 was the last one in my party standing and bailed me out. unless of course you're fighting dark jedi
  5. will the path you're on, meaning ls or ds, make other characters you come across react to you more believably? for example, i played one game as basically satan himself. my ds meter was ALL the way down to the bottom by the time i left Taris. the background behind my character on that profile screen was all black and red with little sparks of fire rising up behind him. the guy looked like linda blair, complete with yellow eyes and pale, grey skin. but when i got to Dantooine to go before the jedi council, the masters were all "we see great promise in you, young one. we believe you can stop malak and save the galaxy." shouldn't they have been more like, "there's no way we're training this one." and then maybe you get your training from elsewhere, like at the sith academy instead. i don't know....i just thought that was kinda funny.
  6. i think Bastila should return, simply because she played such a pivotal role in the first game. i mean, i've even read on other forums that some people thought SHE and not revan was actually the main character. it didn't really matter if you played as either LS or DS, she was there with you at the end (unless of course you killed her, but even then she still appears at the LS ending being honored with everyone else). and as far as continuity with the first game goes, i think those questions asked of you at the beginning of the story just determine what path you went down in the first game. because regardless of if you played as either male or female, the endings for either the LS or DS are pretty much set. for example, if you were DS, pretty much either everyone dies or runs off and you are the Dark Lord. and if you played as LS, everyone lived and was honored, and your are the savior. so the AI will just use that very broad template and adapt accordingly. but who really knows. my question is will revan appear as a man or a woman, or will he/she be wearing some kind of mask? or will the questions we have to answer at the beginning of the game determine that...
