  1. Which is exactly why we don't need any hidden endings for Kotor 2. I was just thinking that putting any kind of hidden meanings in Kotor 2 would by symbolic of the hidden Christian influence in society. Kind of like the Davinci Code. For example, in the Obi-Wan video game, the code to unlock all of the levels was Gray the Rat. This is clearly a nod to the DemocRATic Party and the former governor of California, GRAY Davis. We just don't need any hidden meanings or codes in video games. Or in movies for that matter. Take Lord of the Rings. The elves, the most sophisticated, intelligent and most powerful of all the races in Middle-Earth, were also clearly gay.
  2. If you can stand it, lol, try watching TPM with the audio commentary on. Lucas himself refers to Maul as "The Sith Lord" during his duel with Obi-Wan. I guess that makes it cannon??
  3. Exactly. This is what I was trying to say, but nightcleaver articulated better than I did. Passion is essential in Sith beliefs because through it, they gain strength. Often times, true evil comes through goodness. "And the stupidity of the good is unfathomable." Friedrick Nietzche. Believing that what you are doing is virtuous often times leads to utter ruin.
  4. Isn't that some sort of Satanic band? I never heard their music. Should I? Or will I go straight to hell after listening?
  5. Second this. For all the Sith talk about 'passion', they seem a pretty cold lot. Malak wasn't exactly overflowing with emotion most of the time. The term passion as it pertains to the Sith is not an indication of warmth or even emotion. In fact, it is passions that is a means to fuel their hate. The terrorists that we are currently fighting against are ALL passion. They are not stupid. They have an utter lack of logic, and you could certainly say they are cowardly, but they are not stupid. Stupid would be battling our troops face to face like a real army. They would be wiped out before they knew what hit them. But you can be passionate about a great many things. In this regard, hate born of passion is not stupid, but pure.
  6. Towards the end of the movie on Naboo, Sidious tells Maul after learning that Padme had returned: "Lord Maul, be mindful. Let them come to you." I was just wondering if this was an honorific title or if Maul was considered a Dark Lord also.
  7. OH I know what youre saying. But the argument evil can only be smart or should be smart is completely fallacious. Just look at the real world around us. I know that horrible real world. Just take a quick peek. There are plenty of very evil people that get caught because they also happen to be very stupid. So YES it is. In fact its almost impossible for chaotic stupid not to be evil. Chaotic=impulsive most likely selfish behaviour. Stupid=committing an act without regards for the consequences. So if they see a nice watch on display they are the ones more prone to take it. I agree. By all means make the main villain a Sidious type character. But Malak is evil chaotic stupid or not. So is Darth Bandon and he's even dumber. You make some really good point. But, I have to point out the evil that exists without fear of the consequences. That was my point earlier in this thread. If I could just quote Aeschylus from The Oresteia: "Man can not do good without fear of the consequences of doing evil. If the work of man's hand is not supervised by the Furies, that hand will stop at nothing. The man without fear of the law will easily kill, as if by nature, and the city without fear of the law is that killer's playground." This is the essence of hate. If you become devoid of the fear of the consequences and are only acting out of the act of defiance, this is evil in that you are not giving anything emotionally except hate. So this is not stupid. It is in fact passion. And through passion, you gain strength...
  8. And to just add to my confusion, I think in TPM, Darth Maul was referred to by Sidious as Lord Maul. Maul was a Sith Lord. So does that mean that Bandon was a Sith Lord also? Are both the Sith Master and his/her apprentice referred to as Sith Lords? Or can there be only one Dark Lord at a time? It seems in the era of the movies, there is some ambiguity.
  9. Has it been determined that Atton Rand is gay?
  10. I guess my biggest issue with the darkside is the fact that they never explain HOW dark lords become evil, and exactly why. And this applies to all fantasy and sci-fi stories. Like in LOTR, we know Sauron was the Dark Lord but why...how? I know if you read the Silmarillion you find out that Sauron was the apprentice to Morgoth, but what about Morgoth. Why are they so-called evil. Why is Voldemort the Dark Lord? Why is Sidious the Dark Lord? What exactly makes them evil? What purpose does being "evil" serve? Because in their minds, they are not really being evil. We get a glimpse with the fall of Anakin, but in reality, life is much more gray. And frankly, you end up pitying Anakin more than fearing or despising him. I mean, those Sand People killed his mom. Hell, I'd do the same thing! The fall of Lucifer in Paradise Lost gives the best example of a tragic fall from grace. Where the act of rebelling, the principle of defiance becomes more important than the consequences. This is the essence of hate. I can't tell you how much a closer look at the Sith might shed some light (no pun intended) on the darkside.
  11. Was Master Uthar an alien, or just a human who was physically altered by the Darkside?
  12. ooookay...about those good ol' codes and hidden endings....
  13. It'd be cool to see a change in the weather, too. Like in Jedi Academy there was one mission that was in the rain. Of course that was acid rain, but they also had a mission that took place in the snow on Hoth. Btw, why don't we go to Hoth in this era?
  14. Was that a mod? I never saw Bastila's naughty underwear.
  15. My bad on Lionel Stander. I got caught up in the whole Transformers: The Movie thing. And Jennfer Hale is hot. Thanks for the pic!
  16. They should get Leonard Nimoy, Judd Nelson, Lionel Stander, and someone that sounds like Orson Welles and Robert Stack. And is Jennifer Hale hot? I saw a picture of a Jennifer Hale on the web but I don't know if it's the same Jen that does all the VO work.
  17. Revan was the main character. What kind of horrible twist doesnt involve the main character? Revan was the main character for KOTOR, not KOTOR 2. At least as far as I know.
  18. Every game has 'em. I think in KOTOR the ending was turning Malak into a dancing Twi'lek. Though, I never did that myself. It would be fitting though if you ask me. So do you think there'll be any for KOTOR 2? Judging from the devs that have been kind enough to post their thoughts on these threads, I would not only say there will be, but it might be funny as hell. Thoughts??
  19. I really have no idea what the twist will be, and I don't want to know. One thing I can fairly be sure of is that it won't have anything to do with Revan. That was BioWare's twist. It would be really unoriginal if Obisidian had the twist (if there's even going to be one) have anything to do with Revan, IMO.
  20. The fact that the Sith appear to be anti-alien is strange to me. Considering that the original Sith species were alien. Maybe that has something to do with it. After the original Jedi that left the Order and came to Korriban took over the Sith race and set themselves up as Lords over them, they possibly wanted to keep all non-human races down. Which is maybe why they actually tried to breed the original Sith out.
  21. I think this is a great idea. I always thought it was kinda lame that you're off doing all of these things while everyone else who is not in your party, is just sitting on the ship. This really applied onboard the Star Forge. It would've been cool if everyone had a part to play. In one of my games, I actually kept swapping out party members just to get everyone involved and to know their stories. It took awhile and honestly it was a little tedious, but it was worth it. The only question I would have is, would you get the option as to which mission you would like to be involved in, or would you be forced to play as a different character, like onboard the Leviathan when someone else had to free you?
  22. And after Dooku get his a** kicked by Yoda, he flies to Coruscant to meet up with Sidious. He says to Sidious, "The Force is with us, Master Sidious." And Sidious replies: "Welcome home, Lord Tyranus."
  23. Y'know, as cool as that picture is....let's not have our Sith in their underwear, shall we? *Drools* I love that pic....where did you get it? Anyway I agree the Sith need to look different and not like the foot clan. I always thought the Sith in the grey uniforms looked like Southern Civil War officers..which always confused me a little. If the Sith looked like the girls above, I think a lot more Jedi would join their cause. That chick looks 12. And, yeah, I thought it was pretty lame when Ajunta Pall materialized and he just looked like a Dark Jedi. And it would've been nice if Bastila had looked more sinister when she fell. How come she wasn't veiny and pasty lookin'?
