Why is Vela constantly in my Captain's Quarters?
InsaneCommander replied to asetofnewlungs's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Not right now, but in PoE5 the entire stronghold system will revolve around dealing with teenage Vela. As a matter of fact people might complain about too much money to spend, but they should already start thinking about saving for Vela’s education. Teenage Vela? More like PoE3. There was a discussion a few months ago and we speculated that she will go through a gothic phase and join the Bleak Walkers.

New Scientific Discoveries, Part Drei
Not necessarily a discovery, just a theory, but it is very interesting. Dark energy and dark matter could both be the same thing: a negative mass fluid.

Why is Vela constantly in my Captain's Quarters?
InsaneCommander replied to asetofnewlungs's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)My Watcher is an Assassin and, considering that I found a stiletto with Vela once, I guess she was in the cabin to learn how to use a it.

(Forgotten Sanctum) Can we, or can we not join the Circle of Archmagi ?

- Companions and missing out on XP while drinking in the boat
InsaneCommander replied to Slapstick87's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Once I left some companions without any equipment because I didn't plan on having them on my party soon. Then I found myself in a ship battle with them naked. Wait you don't go into ship battles with your current party? I cleaned the sea early in the game and left only a few ships for later. Then I forgot that the companions that are not in my party can appear in ship battles. Later, when I fought a ship battle again, they were there naked...- Companions and missing out on XP while drinking in the boat

Ihaven't played much yet, but just out of curiosity, was it always like that? Did you try different difficulty levels?- Beast of Winter impressions
InsaneCommander replied to handsomenat's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Makes sense. But I think she also changed after 5 years.- What would you like to see in future DLCs and patches?
The equivalent of the pet cleaver for companions. The equivalent of the pet cleaver for gods. Don't like Rymrgand's personality? Give his portfolio to Wael.- Beast of Winter impressions
InsaneCommander replied to handsomenat's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)She wasn't so fanatical in the first game. She didn't want to follow her orders and cause trouble to the Dyrwood. However, 5 years in exile were more than enough to change that.- Are the Huana the worst? [spoilers]
InsaneCommander replied to Pus-in-Boots's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Loved that part of SSS when we learn what happened in the Deadfire. Maybe they were better at governing themselves back them. Ah I didn't play :/ mind spoiling it for me? Isn't that from The Beast of Winter though? No, it's from SSS.- Are the Huana the worst? InsaneCommander replied to Silvaren's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yes, there was even stronger evidence when they released it in the last patch. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/107406-turn-based-combat-in-deadfire/- TURN BASED combat in Deadfire?!
InsaneCommander replied to Silvaren's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Oh yeah, I should have specified BG2 EE and not 1, but I guess I really should just go play BG1 first even though people recommend skipping straight to 2. I actually was going to play an archer, I was just torn between picking a Bard or a Ranger archer. People also said archers in BG2 weren't nearly as broken as they apparently were in 1, but eh. Play the first one. It's really nice to experience the journey all the way from level 1 to where you get in the end.- Are the Huana the worst? [spoilers]

InsaneCommander replied to Pus-in-Boots's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Asking who is the worst is correct, because they are all bad: - Huana: the poor suffer everywhere, but the Huana caste system means they are doomed for life. - Vailians: even in the best scenario (if they stop supporting slavery, etc...) they will still cause problems by destroying Adra pillars*. - Principi: supporting Aeldys willl definitely not help the Deadfire. - RDC: ok, if you accept their culture you will be treated as an equal. But the same is valid for part of the Americans in The Man in the High Castle, and that means being an accomplice to what happens to the rest. *Seriously, can't they understand that they are endangering their future incarnations? Maybe they don't care?- Are the Huana the worst? [spoilers]
InsaneCommander replied to Pus-in-Boots's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)@drmonkey brings up very good points, but I still don't like them. Not even my Benevolent character will support them.- (Forgotten Sanctum) Can we, or can we not join the Circle of Archmagi ?
InsaneCommander replied to Atherelm's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Simple: make the Circle one of the factions in PoE3. Players could side with them and if they are a Wizard, join (or backstab) the Archmages. As for FS, Llengrath is lucky my Assassin didn't multiclass with Wizard. Or she would share her predecessor's fate. “Watcher’s Balanced and Completely Unremarkable Missile” Or "Watchers Completely Invisible and Undetectable Sphere of Nothingness".- New Ship Combat UI
InsaneCommander replied to Prince of Lies's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Exactly. I'd love if we could use spells, even if in a limited way. For example: create a cloud to lower their accuracy. But I imagine it would be much more than whatever they are planning.- Happy Holidays and Happy New Year from Obsidian!
Thank you all! And happy Holiday and happy new year to you too.- Pillars of Eternity 2 Drinking Game

InsaneCommander replied to no1fanboy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)No. It was not my intention for one thing to imply the other. I'm just trying to imagine what kind of PoE3 would be greenlit by MS.- What did you do today?
I google it and for some reason the first option was "Hershey's Rainbow Kiss". Trust me, you won't want to know what it is. - Companions and missing out on XP while drinking in the boat
