It was 'very honest' that Trump told the electorate he didn't know what Project 2025 was despite his VP candidate having written the introduction to the published version and having several of its key architects of said document working for him and which he has subsequently went on to implement Project 2025's agenda without fail? Doesn't seem very honest to me.

Playing a game called Seance of Blake Manor. It's an adventure/investigation/deduction game with a horror theme, set in late 19th century Ireland. It's first person view and lots interactable things, but the major twist is there is a time limit. Time doesn't go forward in actual time, or movement or even changing areas, but only by interacting with things. So instead of clicking everything and then trying to figure out what to do, you have think about your actions constantly. The mechanic was a huge turn off for me at first, it felt very arbitrary because it wasn't always obvious what thing had important info attached to it, and felt it encouraged save scumming. But once I got past the prologue, it seems there's much more leeway and it works fine. But maybe it'll all come crashing down on me later, when I find out I shouldn't have spent all that time going through ladies pants drawers.

I did walk around a little before heading to town. I think a big part of it is narrative baggage from being part of the earth directorate. Like I can be a criminal who doesn't like the earth directorate and takes nothing serious. yet they decided to make me captain? Just in my mind you have to be a leader of some sort for the story to make sense. If you had been just a regular soldier it would feel a lot more natural. Starting off important takes something away from these types of games imo

I think i have become a full hater. I just cannot get into outer worlds 2. I think its a me problem because I enjoyed the first one. If I had to justify it. I do not like when games throw you right into the world with no buildup. New Vegas you start in a small unimportant town. You wake up and talk to people in the town and you hear about the factions and political climate. Pillars your caravan gets attacked and you make your way to a small town. You get eased into the world. In outer worlds two you are an agent and you go on a mission. Thing happens. You are thrust into the world and factions with no time to ease into the world. Even the first outer worlds eased you into the world. You dealt with a minor dispute before seeing the wider picture. I probably will start to enjoy it eventually but it feels like too much too fast. I have a hard time caring about anything going on because it's thrown at you so quickly. Combat is good. Graphics are good.

some trump lies is difficult to assess in a normal context in part 'cause we give trump a different standard. trump lies about how tariffs wouldn't raise prices for americans is maybe not a lie 'cause trump is so stoopid that he believes it? trump claiming he would bring down the cost o' groceries from day one would be deflationary and a sign o' a recession, which nobody would genuine want, so "what he meant was..." trump is ignorant to a unique degree, so we shrug off a few trump lies as just his improbable stoopid? other trump campaign lies is excused by chronic whataboutism from his supporters. trump claimed he would end the weaponization o' the doj, but you know, "it was really unfair how biden used the doj to go after trump, so..." and is amazing how quick people forget doge failed promises, eh? trillions of dollars saved once all the waste fraud and abuse were ended. nowhere near trillions and trillions were always impossible, so that were a lie from day 1. even so, very little waste, fraud or abuse were discovered. tens of billions (once you remove the misleading claims of future saving from the accounting) may sound like lots, but in terms o' the US or even the foreign aid budget, such is minor. there were programs working efficient and sans fraud that republicans did not like, but sending plumpynut to sudan or providing condoms and vasectomies to deal with the aids crisis in various african nations, while distasteful to many (for reasons) were ended not 'cause o' waste, fraud or abuse. in a similar context, much like with his first campaign, trump campaigned on ending government corruption and draining the swap. tangential he were gonna get rid o' the socialists/communists taking advantage o' real americans. farmer bailouts and corporate golden shares is socilaist/communist. period. the government literal taking control o' the means of production. boggles the mind. and trump's promises about ending corruption were/are... laughable. do we serious need to list all the crazy-arsed corrupt dealing from this admin? ending fbi investigation o' foreign election interference as well as domestic securities fraud means trump and bruce can pretend that the corruption ain't happening? sorta like with covid, trump's solution to the US increasing covid infections were to "slow the testing down," as ludicrous as that sounds. nevertheless, such willful ignorance is now policy, 'cause if you end any regulation o' crypto and then stop the feds from investigating any white collar or foreign interference crimes, then the crimes is not happening and there is no corruption... right? a few o' the policy fails as lies which previous Presidents got punished for is not held against trump the same way. the war in ukraine did not end w/i a day. can double-check that one 'cause when pressed a couple times he made clear he were speaking literal 24 hours and even claimed he would end the war between the election and his inauguration. inflation has not come down as promised, but normally inflation is something the President has only indirect control over, and it takes at least six months for any changes he does to have an impact. trump claimed he were gonna get tough on the chinese. thanks to his "deals," the chinese now get access to the ai chips they wanted and we get a promise the chinese will make real future efforts to do something or other about fentanyl. ummm. oh, and the chinese will buy more soybeans, which were only a problem for american farmers 'cause o' trump tariffs. is serious through the looking glass how trump creates a crisis and then walks it back partial so we are now in a worse position than where we started, but somehow the trump supporters cheer his genius for ending the crisis. regardless, trump hasn't looked particular tough on the chinese when you look at the full context o' what has happened as 'posed to focusing on transitory moments. ... trump campaign claims about bringing back free speech is looking positively orwellian at this point. etc. am not sure what world we live in where folks is able to convince themselves that trump were honest during his 2024 campaign. yeah, he said he would mass deport... although he claimed 20 million would be deported and that number far exceeds the number o' undocumented people in the US... heck even with the shenanigans where trump arbitrarily ended the temporary documented status of afghanistan, haitian and venezuelan refugees who were here legally, 20 mil is a made-up number. again, 20 million is a bit more than the entire population of ny STATE. so as @Amenteprecognizes, even the truth about mass deportations were a lie. trump has effective shut down the border as he promised, but he has done so via means only stephen miller coulda' fully predicted. trump lied about immigrant crime in US cities during his campaign. as such, claiming that mass deportations and closing the border would reduce big city crime were a lie too. so even when trump were honest about how terrible he would be, he managed to lie about reasons and numbers. oh, and violating the Constitution to achieve promises may not count. if a President were to promise to end homelessness in los angeles, and they achieved that goal by sending marines to la and ordering those troops to kill any homeless person on the streets after 8pm, am not thinking anybody would consider such a campaign promise kept. as a President it is kinda implied that you gotta do stuff legal even if you are personal immune from prosecution for official acts. "he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed," is literal in the Constitution... article 2, sec iii. this Court has rolled over for trump, but even those jokers has also declared, more than once, that what trump is doing is unconstitutional... such as sending people to cecot without due process. yeah, trump said he would do terrible and horrible and many voters picked him BECAUSE he promised terrible and horrible. no denying that truth. nevertheless, in addition to project 2025, trump lied a whole lot during his 2024 campaign, and his lies were o' a scope and magnitude am having difficulty finding meaningful comparisons. HA! Good Fun! ps at the end o' the day, whether trump campaign promises were lies is kinda meaningless. if voters is satisfied with trump job performance, then the fact he lied becomes an academic question, as unfortunate as that may be. link. democrats lost the Presidency in 2024 'cause too many voters became single-issue voters, and the single issue they cared about were their displeasure with democrats. heck, democrats didn't like democrats and large numbers voted 3rd party or not at all to punish establishment democrats. whether it were gaza, the environment or social issues, democrats lost faith in the democrat party. converse, in spite o' the fact you got cold war warriors and pro-putin folks taking up space in the republican party, with very differing views on ukraine, they near all voted for trump. republicans were single-issue in 2024-- hatred of democrats. trump's approval is in the toilet, and if the situation gets bad enough, most voters in 2026 and 2028 will be single issue voters and the issue is gonna be their hatred o' trump. unfortunate for democrats, even if they eek out political wins, they nevertheless need deal with the serious and foundational problem that almost nobody likes democrats, not even democrats.

Saying the democrats were lying and he didn't know what Prohect 2025 was still important to his election. I literally saw people, when P25 was brought up say 'yeah it's awful, but he said he didn't know what it was so it won't happen'. But we may have differing considerations for what constitutes a campaign. I'd argue, as he denied connections to it, he did campaign that he wasn't going to follow Project 2025. Regarding immigration, yes he said he was going to round up people with no legal immigration status who were criminals. He quoted an impossible number of them. They've mostly been arresting people at their status hearings with immigration courts who don't have a criminal record while also trampling the constitutional rights of US citizens and arguably the non-legal status immigrants. So I'd argue still a lie.

I can't progress this quest. Im on PS5 and the game has the latest patch installed! To continues the Faction Quest "An Equitable Arrangement" I have to complete the Side Quest as mentioned in the title. To do this I have to interrogate the Man in the Moon Mask. After I start the dialogue I have two options. The standard and a Professor option. No matter what I choose the next dialogue options are the standard one and one that needs 9 observation. What I don't have. After being forced to choose the first option I get another dialogue option. The standart one, a professor option and a Science 9 one. I dont have 9 science. So stuck with either of the other two options. But no matter what combination I choose or companions I bring along. I am left with the "Think I will slink away option." In other words I cannot progress this side quest or the Faction quest that's tied into this one. According to the patch notes, this quest was patched. But it seems it not. Am I missing something or am I screwed? Not having enough points in specific skills should not force you out of a side or faction quest!

You can play a mid ranged Cipher. Blunderbuss are a good weapon at low level, then other ranged weapon can be useful to build focus (arquebuses, crossbows etc... not magical implement). Two pistols as in Deadfire should be wonderful, but you can't Whisper of Treason, Mental Binding, Recall Agony are the bread and butter for Ciphers, mid to long range, low cost and fast cast. At higher levels, Tactical Meld, Time Parasite, and Defensive Mindweb are game breaking. You can play it like disabler, and when the battle last enough, you can put in your arsenal also Puppet Master, Eyestrike, Psychovampiric Shield, Pain Link , Ringleader etc... and go melee too. Never played a Cipher for damage from spell, apart from Disintegration, the others are occasional spells or an amusement to try and forget. And I never trust rays or similar, too much cumbersome for myself. But with right eq, also a melee Cipher in SOLO can make wonders

Tried that too, only demo so far though. Seems really interesting, also with time being a bit of a factor. That makes it so you have to plan a bit ahead, as the place has an actual schedule with events taking place. It also gives off an illusion of a world with characters carrying their own agenda, rather than being frozen in time. Reminds me of The Last Express and Sierra's Colonel's Bequest (Laura Bow). Great mood also. Raw Fury seems really good in finding such games. On related note, I'd always wanted to check out the murder mystery DLC for The Outer Worlds. But I struggle to see how that would even work, given that the base game, to put it mildly, doesn't quite trust in your cognitive abilities. There's never any thinking or deduction or being "available" involved whatsoever. It's a completely AFK experience, like follow the dotted line (and pick up the ammo/ressources available in abundance), and you're done. Often times it doesn't make sense that you'd immediately know exactly where to go and what to do next, but it is what it is. Good idea for a DLC though, which can always be a bit more experimental/risky than the base games (see also NWN2)... Speaking about AFK games... there's an auto-battler I tried that sort of has the potential to nail the Lt. Gorman Simulator experience. If you're asking who the hell Lt. Gorman is, maybe the rather unsubtle trailer makes it clear -- this is not an official Aliens licensed game at all, mind. Seems a bit minimalist so far, the final release is said to get a story campaign tho... @BruceVC The Bunker is one of my recent favs also. Really quite the rollercoaster. I think in some ways it even improves upon Alien Isolation with the "lonely stalker" in that in particular later on, you may not see the beast for minutes on end (provided you're keeping it low). Overexposure leads to familiarity -- and that's always hurtful when it comes to being scared. The moments of tension always are in the build-up, you KNOWING (and oft hearing) that there's something out there. But if it pops up over and over, eventually you're getting used to it. After experiencing the ending, the main menu music has a completely different feel to it too... A similar game in low-poly PSX aesthetics is Stay Out Of THe House. It's basically the same core idea, except that you're trapped inside of a house rather than inside of a bunker. And the thing out to get you is a cannibal serial killer. However, you can even lay and prepare traps... which your enemy may do also though. Also multiple ways to solve situations, and (I think) 2 endings. The goal is basically a low budget slasher sandbox.

Im still finalizing my first Skyrim\LoreRim experience and I am researching new mods So I decided to play Amnesia Bunker, its classic Amnesia good fun horror survival. The addition of the monster makes a great change and its nice having weapons Its there best game so far I did decide to use 1 cheat mod. I loaded a mod that gave me an endless torch, I got tired of the rats and the darkness mechanics so from the Arsenal onwards I used this Torch cheat I enjoyed the ending and how you deal with the monster but it did kill me about 5 times before I came right

Yeah, now that you mention it is rather odd, and at least for now feels unnecessary. I am getting annoyed by the "corporate" jargon. I didn't mind it it OW1 as the whole concept was "What if Corporations started the colony". And I know this is very much an arm of the same movement, but just feels odd to me here and out of place.

The comment I replied to was "Can you imagine if Biden had become president with his condition". The alternative that we actually got is very relevant. And in a subsequent back and forth you expressed incredulity that someone else would prefer Biden over Trump. So yes, you were absolutely making the rhetorical point that you felt Biden would've been worse, so why lie about it? As to the question of systemic racism, like I mentioned, on other occasions when people (including me) have sourced evidence that it definitely exists, you've kinda shrugged and said 'well agree to disagree' so forgive me if I don't feel particularly motivated to expend the effort again on someone who has consistently demonstrated willingness to give infinite benefit of the doubt to fascists and white supremacists.

Nice. Deadfire felt a lot better in tb for me. Except that those super bosses were impossible, because combat would stretch into the endless... Those tweaks they mentioned sound interesting. Almost makes me wish they would update Deadfire again.

Thank you for pointing this out! I had totally forgotten how I gotten in there to begin with and probably would have never realized I could get out. I’m happy I can atleast keep playing the game in some way til this gets fixed.

Yep just as you described. Changing texture quality will fix the issue until the game loads a new area. Then goes right back to being misaligned. That's how I can get consistent screenshots of the error across multiple outfits.

I'm finding it sometimes difficult and sometimes time consuming to select a fast travel spot because the reticle is prioritizing a nearby quest or workbench or something else that is remotely close to the fast travel circle on the map. Can we turn it off? To my knowledge, i can't fast travel to a workbench. I'm not sure why i would want the reticle to select one. Thanks.

yes!!! Its so frustrating, I wish there was at least a list of fast travel points that we could pick from or something.

I started playing BG3 about a week ago. I'm using a lot of mods, though all of them from among those available through the built-in mod manager. The most important mod being the one that gets me a 6-character party. As I had expected, the game is okay but not amazing the way everyone likes to gush over it. It's definitely not worthy of all those 98, 99, 100 review scores it was given, calling into question the credibility of those reviewers. Among the things that I dislike are a horrible inventory system and hotbar system, poory designed UIs across the board, moving and organizing the party as a group being a huge pain in the ass, most containers in the environment being empty (and not getting clearly marked as such even after you check them), and all NPCs can be interracted with even though many dont have anything meaningful to say. Your own dialog options during conversations are often many and yet the range of different options is very limited, meaning many of the options are merely minor variations on saying the same thing. Combat is also, as expected, rather tedious, but I can live with it from having a party of six and using low difficulty settings. But it is rather ridiculous the extent to which characters miss their attacks. I've gone through multiple rounds of combat where every single one of my six characters missed on their attack. But I'll grant this is a huge flaw of DnD and not the game per se (and why I love PoE mechanics so very much more). Where the game does shine is in beautiful environments, and very nice character animations and cutscenes. The story is also good so far. More to come.

Play it before they wreck it with their trash DLC.

My point was to challenge Bruce's assertion that 'Trump was very honest on what he would change and implement if he won the election' since he literally lied about what he planned, and Project 2025 wasn't the whole of it, either.
