  2. One of those days where one realizes that the vast majority of people working in IT are basically naught but trained monkeys.

  3. Fun part of work is when people say "Hi" on Teams, and then nothing else. Nothing like trying to force async to be sync

  4. I thought russia already said that they don't need a ceasefire. Also didn't they broke all of the ceasefires in the past anyways?

  5. They might be biased. Without combat logs, a lot of opinions regarding combat are also based on 'feels'. Unarmed is viable and it has a certain flavour that weapons don't have.

  6. I like to keep my team on their toes. I send a "hi" and they wonder "What does he want from me", "Do I answer", "Is it going to be a big task". Even more annoying is the surprise huddle that starts ringing on slack especially if it's near quitting time, because they know it's nothing good and it's usually overtime. But I got even an even worse one for you guys. Typing animation that, I **** you not, goes on for half an hour and after that you get 2 sentences at most. This is coming from native English speakers. My boss hated this, so much so that he made people write things out in a notepad before they send him a message, so they could just copy paste. Now because of that I send rapid fire messages, so typically 10 messages from me could be sent in a nice 1 to 2 sentence message and the sad thing is I was never a slow typer...

  7. Wife and I were just complaining to each other about this. I make a point to wander off between reponses.

  8. Kinda like how Steve is doing TL;DW segments of his videos upfront these days. The TL;DW basically being that it in gaming, it is performing equally to a 9800X3D - which is a bit of a change as last generation's 16 core pards with 3D V-Cache usually had scheduling problems, and in production it is pretty much equivalent to a 9950X, give or a take a couple of percentage points. So, if you're like one of the three people on the planet who do heavier duty production workloads on your personal computer and some gaming on the side and can't live without the best gaming performance possible, this is the best CPU for you. Is it the most optimal? Eh, not really. I mean, it's not like a 9950X or a Core 285K will fail in gaming and still has the same or very similar production power - for much cheaper. Cheapest prices I could find for my region for the 285K was 610€, with the 9950X costing 680€. The 9950X3D's MSRP is set at 750€ (yeah, right ).

  9. Specifically, thinking I'll go with this spread (before Berath's Blessing): MIG: 15 (16, -1 Orlan) CON: 10 DEX: 8 PER: 18 (16, +2 Orlan) INT: 15 (14, +1 Old Vailia) RES: 12 (11, +1 Orlan) I'll report back once I give this variant of your build a try! ... which will be after I finish Avowed.

  10. I think there is a discrepancy here, because if you spec into "iron fists", you're going for a kind of monk build. And that should have some benefits beside just upgrading gear. Unless the devs meant it as a kind of challenge run.

  11. Cheers, I appreciate the suggestion. If I go with this build, I think I'll likely max PER with a roughly even MIG/INT split below it. That way the focus is on hitting/critting, which will benefit both my Bellower damage and my Psion CC (not to mention, as you say, being able to tank myself up with nicer shields without suffering too much offensively). And the lower-than-max INT probably won't get felt too badly since Bellower really cuts down on my chant radius anyway. (I assume the way to go with Bellower phrases is to think more tactically about which party members and/or enemies are going to realistically be in your radius.) That is, of course, unless I go with Harbinger. The choice paralysis is real... but at least I know I'm going with Chanter. Actually, a slightly off-topic question on my last point: are there any Chanter multiclasses you feel don't work well? I don't see a lot of discussion out there about Cantors, Loremasters, or Celebrants--particularly the latter.

  14. I think fists work as single weapon while dual daggers are faster thanks to dual wielding. If you alternate between LPM and RPM you are attacking faster than with for example single dagger with LPM spam. Is single dagger faster than fist? I didn't test it. Fists can benefit from Xaurip's Paws (looted in Shattered Scarp) for +15% stun and fire lash from +10% damage. Stormdancer Boots adds +10% shock damage after dodge but I didn't tested it with fists. I don't know if it's a shocking lash or just shock damage modifier.

  15. What a garbage article. Particularly: Oh, OK Ah, so it isn't really ending then, is it? Good thing we have APNews's crack journalist squad to immediately leap onto the obvious contradiction, eh? Also, no mention of all the murdered civilians and makes it sound like everything was started by the alawites. Reminder: they sent a unit bad enough to be sanctioned by the US for ethnic cleansing based head chopping, and then purported to be surprised at them doing the same thing again from the government. Crap journalists taking a bung from Turkey and defending genocide, awful editorial control from APnew... well no, par for the course for their coverage of Palestine actually and very obviously part of their editorial direction, which was equally full of selective facts and acritical use of often mutually contradictory quotes. As always, genocide is aok, since if its at someone we don't like it's just sparkling mass murder. Eh Bruce.

  16. I have been doing a lot of investigation into quests, there are a few things I noticed as far as Apotheosis. To start there is a bug where no changes made in the "Experience Level" field are ever saved. _____________________________________________ Quest/Objective nodes seem to always have 2 strings entries attached to each node. "0" is always the name of the quest, and "10000" is the initial description. After that any single digit stringtable entry is an Objective Title, with an additional ~1000* entry that is will be the description for that objective. Using the quest Bounty - Ikorno (BOUNTY_TSK_Battlemage) as an example: Node: 0 Quest title (0) : Bounty - Ikorno Quest Description (10000) : Ikorno, an aumaua wizard, makes sport of killing elite Huana warriors. Those who suspect him of being a Rauataian agent have put a bounty on his head. Node: 1 Objective (1) : Kill Ikorno. Description (10001) : Ikorno was last seen on the central isles of the Kua o Rikuhu chain. When I find him I can kill him for the bounty. Node: 2 Objective (2) : Return to Okauro. Description (10002) : I dealt with Ikorno. Okauro in the Sacred Stair district of Neketaka will want evidence of the kill in exchange for the reward. It would be great to be able to have both string displayed and able to be edited on the relevant node in the Node Diagram. _____________________________________________ An update on this issue. I think I have pinned it down to not being an problem with Apotheosis making additions to the the quest, but rather it seems there is a limitation in place that stops the adding of new nodes to a quest mid-game in general. I realised I'd only ever tested this by loading a pre-existing save. What you know, upon starting a new game and triggering the quest to start on the new quest node (19) it seems to work without issue. Further testing on other quests and with adding nodes elsewhere in the sequence yields the same results. New game: the quest appears to continue just fine when it hits a new node. Existing save: the quest bugs out when it hits a new node. This is also the case for new quests: While brand new quests can be added mid-game, they will run into the same issue once they become part of the game as it were. Fantastic! Looking forward to it!

  18. Oh, also, if you haven't seen this before, it's one of the bestest. A very "talented" cat - at least for hand cues.

  19. I think throughout history no promise made to the Kurds has ever been kept. So if someone says they'll be good for them, I do not trust that person and expect them to just need Kurdish cannon fodder for their own goals. Kurds are alongside Palestinians the world's punching bag

  20. Ah okay, I've done that and was able to re-direct it to a fresh install and checked the files integrity, all good. But the mod still gets stuck on the extracting phase for some reason.
