  2. Yeah, I was going to say that that it's probably too little, too late if past bad launches by AMD were any indication. Though AMD has obviously had bad launches for other reasons, they seem to especially love to shoot themselves in the foot by launching with inexplicably poor pricing and then dropping their prices to be more competitive...usually about a week after all the reviews trashing them for having bad price-to-performance have released. Completely needless, but they never seem to learn.

  3. But how this will anyway make things worse or increase hostilities? That weren't caused by killing 63 civilians fleeing war on railway station or killing over 20 people by blowing a shopping mall or blowing up a children hospital? Generals are legitimate targets in a war so they will be targets of strikes

  4. I would love to spend a year or two close to my family (or what's left of it) Having lived abroad for 20+ years, my trip to Denmark in August sort of reminded of what I've been missing out on....

  5. I dunno man. I would probably differentiate between a rape case and sort of systemic rape (and murder). Obviously there will be a soldier who will rape (and murder) someone at some point. But if most of them do it, and it's kind of even expected, or at least not prohibited by their superiors, then... you know... it's not really the same in my opinion.

  6. You mean that raping and murdering civilians like happened in start of didn't make it already much worse?

  7. This act of terror (I am not sure if it fits in definition, although it somewhat fits in FBI's state sponsored terrorism if we accept Russia saying that Ukraine is terrorist nation ) seem to be odd bit to get much of focus considering that countries involved are in all out war, where they shoot hundreds of cruise missiles to each other civilian and military infrastructure. And hundreds some times thousand people die on fighting somewhere where they probably don't want to be. But then people get their sock twisted when one general and his assistant commanding those troops and ordering those missile strikes get killed in strike that didn't even kill any civilians

  8. This great but WTF you can give skuldr meat to the xaurip in Cilant Lîs for a peaceful resolution? I must have entered that room from the left and killed the poor guy dozens of times over the years and every time I've wondered a little why they bothered with the dialogue since he always ended up fighting you anyway.

  10. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl patch 1.1 is out with an enormous amount of fixes, but, most importantly for me (aside from the bugfixes) major improvements to the spawning system

  11. Arrived in Denmark late Sunday... took a couple of days to shake off the jet lag. Got some kind of bug as a greeting from the cold and clammy weather in northern Europe On a more positive note, staying rent free at my dads place at the moment and he has Netflix. I never had that. Decided to watch the first two episodes of "Arcane". Was surprisingly not sucky. Which I guess is praise coming from me who normally scuff at CGI shows not made by Pixar

  12. Can't tell if I'd be interested in that Exodus game or not. It looks kind of intriguing but per usual never enough gameplay being shown. Lots of 2 seconds of gameplay being constantly fast spliced around like an action movie trailer never "tells" me anything. Especially if it's supposed to be more of a story rpg? Need more of the "how skills/quests work" stuff. The Borderlands 4 trailer mostly made me think it might be more interesting to play as one of the bandits/enemies than the "vault hunters." (the gameplay bits start just after the 1minute mark). Since I assume hubby will want it even if I'm "meh", we'll likely have to buy hubby some cheap new gpu, even if he's fine with 1080p gaming on his 4k monitor. I think he has a nvidia 1660 or something, which barely worked ok with BL3.

  13. My 30 second attention span means I never played Gwent after that first time in the prologue.

  14. https://za.ign.com/the-witcher-4/204170/news/the-witcher-4-developer-cd-projekt-explains-why-it-went-with-ciri-over-continuing-with-geralt-as-pro Here is a good interview from CDPR around why Ciri is the main character I am still not happy with how Geralt is no longer the main character but I understand the whole " this is a new narrative " from CDPR I just think why change something that works and Geralt is so iconic? Anyway I wont be complaining about this decision anymore and I will comment further once I have played W4 and I can comment objectively on W4 " It was always about her, starting from Saga when you read it in the books. She's an amazing, layered character. And of course, as a protagonist we said goodbye to Geralt previously. So this is a continuation. I guess for all of us it’s like she was meant to be. That was always her.” " She's actually about to become the Witcher,” Kalemba explained. “She's about to actually form her own codex, but on her own terms. The way she actually deals with the monsters, the way she deals with quests, the adventures, it's her own unique way. And also I think that she gives more room to be able to tell different stories here and there. Of course, we want to give the opportunity for the player to explore more nuance because this is what we do. But she deserves that.” " Both Mitręga and Kalemba acknowledged a potential backlash from some corners of the internet at Ciri’s role as protagonist in The Witcher 4, but both insisted Ciri was always going to be the game’s main character."

  16. I've always wanted to play as Roche, where instead of choosing to level up and use various Signs, you would level up and use various expletives and insults.

  17. I appreciated Ciri a lot more after the Netflix show. Freya Allan literally grew up in between season 1 and 2 and it was a fantastic way to develop that character. It made me enjoy the Ciri parts of Witcher 3 more. Granted, I don't actually like Geralt.

  18. well, we didn't really get to know her. not like Geralt. If they can find a good voice actress it's up in the air i think. btw this has all been known since late 2016, so hardly a shocker.

  21. The only thing definitely worse than having Ciri as protagonist would be bringing back Geralt as one. (Really though, I take some issue with the dev comments. The CDPR Ciri certainly wasn't very layered or amazing as a character; and wouldn't even be an option in half (? 2/3? since I can't remember the exact end conditions) the endings they wrote themselves, ie not in the Empress/ Bad endings. It's like writing TW1 with options then when TW2 comes around insist that Geralt could only really romance Triss. If that's the case, write it that way from the outset and don't give the option)
