Because I'm still waiting for a deal on a new computer, and the GPU on my current old machine constantly crashes, the only games in my library that seemed like I could play and not tax the GPU are the old BG games. So I've started a run of BG1, SoD, and BG2, and for the first time ever am using a few select mods. I'm also playing the classic fighter-mage-thief multiclass for my PC, which I've never done before in my many, many times playing these games. It's rather rough here in the beginning, as my Charname is so very weak from having everything including XPs divided across three classes. But it amazes me how enjoyable it still is to play these now-ancient games.3 points

I had my annual physical last week and everything is looking good. I was even able to lower my cholesterol by 24 points by altering my diet and exercising. And fish oil, a whopper of a fish oil pill every day. Im also happy to report, that after ~7000-9000 years of human society, the finger is no longer the best tool in our toolbox to check the prostate gland. That test has been completely abolished and replaced with a blood test. HUZZAH! Now just to mail them back a box of poop and I can forget about it all for the next three years.2 points

Pathfinding aside they hold up very well, even on an iPad.2 points

Thanks for reminding me I tried it now with the remaining voiced line in the finale, and it works flawlessly! The sfx of the wheel getting destroyed from the same .bnk still plays appropriately, so seems like just removing a single baked wem leaves the rest intact. iirc I considered that way back but didn't want to edit any of the convo files1 point

We've been using "butterflies" for years (I seem to remember nurses using it in the 90s when I was hospitalized), but I still can't stand it, the feeling of the needle is enough to set me off. I can still take a prick though.1 point

I am mostly posting so Wormy doesn't think they killed the discussion - 16 hours without a reply... Since Underspace is now on GOG, I bought that. Since Wartales is getting tedious, I started Underspace. I finished the tutorial fights, including the optional storm chase. I think they seriously nerfed the serpent in the rift fight. That, or the demo I had played had been bugged and the NPC stormchaser had not been dealing damage back then. Now we made quick work of her and the rift. Took the optional route and docked at the anarch station, mostly to ensure I have the location on my charts. Now to decide whether I simply head back to civilization or turn to a life of crime and return to civilized space with a hold full of smut. Also if I buy a new ship here or on my return. I understand you are supposed to buy a ship at this point - all stations seem to be selling ¥26.000 light fighters, medium fighters, heavy fighters, and a transport. I have not enough time in the game to really check the difference between the corp and pirate ships. Considering the medium pirate fighter, since medium is usually something that doesn't gimp you in any category too badly. And the pirate ships are what's on sale here. Life's hard.1 point

You little perv you.... Edit: speaking of medical checks, I usually get checked twice a year, but the blood test etc. only once a year. I get a prefilled form (a requisition) from the doctor and take it to a lab of my own choosing at a time that suits me, so not too bad really. Crossing fingers and knock on wood, the results the last 6 years have been that of a healthy young man (despite me being anything but)1 point

Have you had any luck with this? I noticed there are .bnk files that correspond to the problem conversations mentioned in the mod description: "si_luminous_adra_vein.bnk", "si_finale.bnk", and "LAX03_00_si_beyond_transition.bnk". Could be that the files that need to be replaced are be in these possibly? Alternatively have you tried removing the "LoadAudioBankPlayAudioEvent" scripts in the conversations that are referencing the audio files? Removing both instances of such a script in "11_si_luminous_adra_vein.conversationbundle" that referenced "vo_narr_11_si" from both "-200" nodes (truly a bizarre place for a script... ) seemed to stop the narration for the "As your hand touches the dim adra..." playing when I tried it.1 point

Hey there! Ancient thread I know. But there's an error with Josh's excellent advice to mod makers that I'd love to have fixed. The advice really was a gold mine of great tips on job to avoid pitfalls and problems while making a megamod. After I finished Fallout: New California and moved on to making our own games, modding comes up a lot, and my own advice having survived to release a megamod is always -- read J E Sawyer's pinned thread on the Obsidian Forums. I did and it was a massive help. If that could be restored I'd be greatly appreciative. It could help a lot of people excited, but naive, and about to make some mistakes that could be avoided.1 point

Ok, so after reading up here and there it seems dexterity actually matters after all as autoattacks aren't completely useless with this build. So the actual dump stats would be constitution and resolve, if i were to min/max this to hell to increase dps as much as possible.1 point

Well done on the hard work and thank you for the response. I speak for myself when I say I'm stoked for the update!1 point

Hi folks, sorry for the delayed response, we've been heads down working on the deployment of this patch. We're anticipating to release in the coming weeks, we're just locking in deployment on the various platforms now. Currently we are targeting Steam, Game Pass, GOG, and Epic Store for PC. We've also been working on Mac and Linux builds, which we're hoping to push in a separate patch along with more continued improvements and bug fixes. Thank you all for your patience and support.1 point

Still struggling along with my sister getting my fathers things sorted after his passing. Not sure if the bereavement has kicked off the disrupted sleep issues the past month or so or something else, but has meant pushing through in a fairly constant state of tired bleh. Pondering on if that's a symptom of depression or if it's just the tired bleh talking. Need to figure out if there's a decent financial advisor to talk to about mortgages in the area, so I can start making decisions on whether I can buy out my sister's half of the house or I need to join her in selling it so I can get a new place. I do not want to move my library....0 points

I swear, this forum has THE WORST ****ING SOFTWARE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE ****ING LIFE. I have seen Geocities sites that were less of a pain to use. Whoever programmed this COLLOSAL PILE OF ****ING GARBAGE, I hope they were fired and never worked in software ever again. I put up dealing with this DUMPSTER FIRE for as long as I did because I like Obsidian as a developer and I like many of the community here, but I just can't any more.0 points

I, too, had random back pain yesterday. Clearly we are being targeted by the Russians.0 points

I hurt my lower back when I was 19 and every couple of years it returns. It's usually something stupid and not in the least bit strenuous that sets it off. Sometimes I, like @Sarex, can't even figure out what caused it.0 points

My lower back just started randomly hurting me yesterday. I was standing up and doing nothing. Could have been something else in the area too though.0 points

Hurt my back carrying my dog up the stairs this morning. She's only about 65-70 pounds but I'm getting old and didn't have great form with the lifting or the carrying.0 points

My friend roped me into watching Rebel Moon 2. He knows damn well that I hate Zack Snyder, but I made him watch Things, and this is my penance. I deserved this, no one should ever be made to watch Things. Anyway, here's my review of RM2: I'm already looking forward to the Snyder apologists telling me about how the 7 hour long director's cut is going to make this pile of $#!+ make some sort of sense.0 points
