@BruceVC Neocore said I should tell you the King Arthur turn based tactics game is 40% off. They said "tell friends and loved ones". To which I replied "don't have those". To which they replied "well what ya got?" To which I replied "dunno? A Bruce on the obsidian forum?" To which they replied "That'll do. Tell him."* *Discussion may not have happened like this.** ** or at all3 points

Given Ryu Ga Gotoku's track record, that's not going to be some short side-activity or a simplified or stripped-down version of essentially Animal Crossing, it's going to be a full game all on its own. RGG always SUPER overdelivers on these. For example the Cabaret Club Management or Real Estate Tycoon. Those are entire full games within Yakuza games with memorable characters, storylines, wacky shenanigans, and surprisingly deep game systems that I've spent dozens and dozens of hours playing and enjoying. The best part is that it's not DLC thay're going to charge you $25 for, it's just included. Well, actually, the best part is that my favorite character has a cameo in the trailer. My girl, The Obatarian. Not a surprise she'd show up, she's a fan favorite. Still, It's nice to get confirmation.2 points

Well, "we" is correct in the context of Lithuania being part of EU, and as such EU made a promise, which is so far not fulfilled, mainly due to the Orban's obstructions And Lithuania together with other Baltic states made one of the biggest donations to UA in connection to countries GDP. So they fully deserve the pass, when criticizing others2 points

Alright so, I'm going to just list off ideas that I have, and maybe they are possible, maybe they aren't. New Mobs: A larger spider; I get it, we have multiple spiders, and some are in fact quite big. However, when I think in my head, "What if there was a spider as big as the whole backyard". Now, that would be unrealistic, but then I thought, what if there was one just simply 2-3x bigger than the average wolf spider. It could sleep somewhere in the map, and be a new boss-fight, which you could attack to begin the fight. A small clam; I know there are quite a lot of mobs already in the pond, but I think a stationary clam that sits at the bottom of the pond could either be a cool resource to gather or a mob to fight, even going as far as a boss-fight. If the clam is small, it could be a small mob to fight, and as you get close, it attempts to grab you. If you get grabbed, you get dragged inside, and drown or something. If it is a bigger clam, it could be a boss-fight where (even though it's unrealistic) it shoots things at you, maybe small pearls, and it could introduce a new skill/mechanic: movement/dodging/blocking underwater. This clam could also introduce a new item: the Pearl. Could be used to make Tier III Armor or weapons. A caterpillar/centipede; Something that could act as a miniature-world's snake. Something that could wrap around you, try to make attacks, and possibly even attempt to strangle you (as some snakes do). If it is a centipede, there could be a specific way to kill it, which could be chopping off (with an axe of any type, but higher Tiers would make it faster) all of the centipedes legs. Different centipedes have different amounts, so the one in game could be based on the House Centipede from real life, which has about 30 legs total, 15 on both sides, I'm pretty sure. A butterfly; The only major issue with this is that butterflies are surprisingly big. However, I am going to give a REALLY quick description of my idea in no specific order: butterflies attract birds, so the bird could be incorporated, the bird could eat a butterfly, acting as an attraction method for it, the butterfly could drop it's wings, etc. An Assassin Bug; It's a real thing, surprisingly, and it could be a cool mob to fight, similar to a stinkbug, spider, or ladybug (the tough creatures of early-mid game). I don't know off the top of my head what this bug could drop, or what it could do, or anything like that. BUT, it has a lot of potential in my opinion. New Map Areas: Snow Biome; I would say having an area that is more snow related could be cool. We have the forest/grass area which is what most of the map is comprised with. We also have the sandbox which is basically a desert. But, a snow area, maybe like a tipped over fridge or freezer that could be cold and give, instead of the "Sizzling" effect from the sandbox, the "Freezing" effect (I know, I know, basic). This could introduce a new armor that you could make that came from one of the mobs I listed above, or from an existing mob, similar to how Antlion Armor lets you go in the sandbox. A new lab; I know the labs complete the story, and that the story is already completed. But, maybe just for the people who have already completed all other labs, there could be a new one that comes afterwards, maybe multiple new ones, which players could go complete for more loot and a fun challenge. Mechanics/Features: Character stats; So, we know that playing any game alone can be kinda boring, and therefore, I will write this idea down for those who play with friends. So, for the idea, each character that you can select: Pete, Max, Willow, and Hoops, could have their own benefits and weaknesses. When playing with friends, each of you could select the character that benefits you the most. Characters could have their own styles, and here are examples: Max (Brawler): +5% Damage Bonus +7.5% Defense Bonus +3% Attack Speed Etc. Pete (Nerd): 50% more Raw Science gathering Unlimited Researching at the Resource Analyzer (not limited to 3) Etc. Willow (Constructor): Saves 20% of the resources required to construct any item Automatic access to the Handy Gnat for construction (not requiring Custom Game Mode) Etc. Hoops (Healer): Revives teammates 20% faster (and stacks with Reliable Friend Mutation) Revived teammates get up with 30% more health than usual Etc. All of this, to add more, could also result in the addition of more characters. And to note, I think this feature should be togglable when creating a world. Almost like a custom game mode feature, idk. That's basically it though. I don't know how active this topic is now for Grounded, but I hope this gets seen, and if someone else has any other cool ideas, I would be interested to hear them in a reply See y'all!1 point

The few remaining physics bugs are great and should just stay in the game because they're hilarious. Like that one time I called my car and the game just spawned it in the air. It came crashing down hard, was totalled, killed some innocent bystanders and lead to a shootout with the police. Every now and then a random car chase ends up with cars flying about in good old Blues Brothers tradition too.1 point

The XP modifier, "Ardor". It increases from parry-defeating foes by 5%, from just defeating them by 3%, decreases from taking damage by 2%, and does not apply to bosses. Also it is the only thing that is lost upon death - the souls (Mass) remain with the MC.1 point

Thats a good read and its an example of the inherent risks and failures with how the CCP runs China, its a hybrid of Communism\state control and Capitalism The entire failed " Zero-Covid " Chinese policy would have exacerbated the property crisis and accelerated the problem But the article also explains how this happened or the contributing factors that created this crisis " Evergrande's rise was fuelled by heavy borrowing to build houses for middle-class Chinese looking to make money from property. But property developers borrowed too much money to build too many houses that not enough people want to buy" And then what made it worse "Things came to a head in 2020 when the government, fearing a bubble in the property market, introduced new financial regulatory guidelines, known as its "three red lines' They severely restricted developers' ability to borrow more money, eventually causing the crisis that has mired Evergrande and the rest of China's property sector. For China's leaders, the painful but necessary measure was the only way to rein in unsustainable debt. Except they didn't anticipate how much worse it would get, especially as China's economy took a hit from sweeping zero-Covid lockdowns'1 point

It should not surprise no one that 1 million has yet to delivered, considering that in March when pledge was made, EU's and Norway's total production capacity of all types of artillery shells was 650 000 per year and they pledged to deliver 155mm shells, which even though are majority of that 650 000 is not the full capacity. EU also gave funds to build new ammunition factories, but those aren't build instantly (meaning that first of them start to produce ammunition next year). And of course because of EU politics all the ammunition needs to be bought from the EU manufactures. And some of the capacity has went to restock EU members own storages as they have send ammunition to Ukraine. DPRK in my knowledge has only send old stock to Russia, so those numbers aren't comparable, as it EU's number does not take account ammunition that member states have send from their own stocks. I am not sure how it comes as surprise to any foreign minister in EU, especially in Baltic states that EU members have decreased their ability to build conventional weapons and ammunition as there has been belief to that peace will last and possible future conflicts will be handled be the new intelligent weapons. I wonder what kind of optimism has taken over EU's defense ministers considering that Finland has largest artillery in western Europe, but not that many that use promised 155mm shells, so who in that meeting though that there would be such manufacturing capacity in Europe that they should announce that they will deliver million shells to Ukraine.1 point

...let's see. My "starting" solar system was around 650k LY. I've made it this far. ...at approx. 1900LY a jump, I still have around 290 jumps left. I do 10-15 jumps per day before I get bored staring at those long warp load screens and explore a single planet for a while instead. So I might reach the center in 24 more real-life days. Altho, I've been assuming that number is for "center of". I suppose it might be a total diameter instead, which would halve the time. No clue. I don't even want to stay at the Center, I hear it's "already discovered by," MP-ppl crowded. I just want to get there once, then I'll teleport back to my totally empty/undiscovered middle-areas. ...there are apparently 250ish different Galaxies. I think I shall confine myself/remain in this "starter" Euclid one. I can't imagine I would ever land on all planets in just this single galaxy. What in the world would I do with 250 (pretty much all the same)? >.> Maybe I can discover all the rest of Euclid and annoy new players with 75% of planets (not in Center) being discovered by "me." ...Yesterday I hit two planets in one system that had robotic animals I'd never seen before. Kinda like exotic, funny-hyper, robotic dogs. I of course adopted one of each type.1 point

The long running war between Canada and Denmark over Hans Island ended with a peace agreement recently. No war crimes have been brought forth to any international tribunals edit: as a result of the peace treaty Canada and Denmark now share a land border1 point

Am absolutely loving the game! I've been collecting armour pieces lately and this idea popped into my head. I just had to get it out! I would love to see butterflies in the yard. The armour could be made from pupa leather, monarch wings, monarch antenna and gnat fuzz. What do you think? (I've also been thinking of doing a dragonfly set too. Thoughts?)1 point

Maybe the armor would have a set bonus of slow falling or something. And also the poison coating would be great. It could be like thorns, except poisoning the enemy when you get hit by it.1 point

Cool ideas, I was thinking the same thing with the butterfly, maybe makes a tier III armor that has a gliding set bonus so you wont need a dandelion tuff, and make it a ranged armor set. And to add more to your post, I was thinking about a Dragonfly boss. I haven’t thought about what it would drop, maybe close to what the butterfly set would be but better, could also introduce tier IV stuff with it. And also upgraded bandages with the Aloe Vera in the sandbox that have sizzle protection, I still don’t understand why that’s not already a thing.1 point

Tier 2 would be cool I think. Maybe they have quite the health pool. The best way to beat them could be with a tier 2+ bow. The armour could give you a true flight bonus for arrows or maybe a 10-15% effect buff to elemental arrows like mint arrows.1 point

Thanks. Hm, doesn't multilcassing to gain back the missing spells feel counterintuitive? Might as well play single class wizard with no subclass or go Evoker. It'd be better. I'm looking for a conjurer build to focus on that, not to give the character options he does not have and be average at all of them. I do like Fassina as a Conjurer/Druid. There's some mean damage in the Druid kit as well. But I'm now looking to see if a focus on conjurer is actually something that would be fun and good to play. Or if it is simply making your character weaker and boring.1 point

The loss of Evocation and Illusion spells significantly reduces the power and versatility of the class, but it can be played around if you're looking to work within constraints for fun or RP. The familiar is a nice buff (+3 to a stat, +1 PL, +random bonus), but the randomness means the PL is really all you can count on. If you summon another creature after the Familiar, the Familiar goes away, but the buff remains, allowing you to take advantage of other summons and prevent a loss of the buff from the familiar dying. That said, you're giving up a spell slot and cast time to summon it (Eldritch Aim, Chill Fog, Spirit Shield, etc.). Summons and summoned weapons do not benefit much from Power Level (They both scale based on Character Level, I believe), so being a conjurer doesn't help them much (+5% duration over other Wizard Sub-classes), but the upshot is they don't scale well with Power Level, so being a multi-class Conjurer doesn't hurt the much either. There are lots of mutli-class options that are fun. Access to summoned weapons means you can multi reasonably well with one of the martial classes (but loss of illusion means you don't have access to most of the major deflection buffs that make MC Wizards so powerful). A suggestion from other threads I've seen is multi into Priest of Wael to gain back the missing illusion spells, as well as some other priest uniques. I'm working on an RP flavored build for Fassina that is trying to crack this nut, since she is forced into Conjurer for all of her class choices. There's definitely some fun options there that I'm almost done testing in a playthrough.1 point

We don't really have an economics/business thread, but I guess it is tangentially related to politics, as I suspect it will inevitably become a headache for politicians, not just in Beijing https://www.bbc.com/news/business-67191262 The Chinese property developer Evergrande owes more than $325bn (£269bn). That's more than Russia's entire national debt. For two years, the company has been lurching from crisis to crisis, repeatedly failing to make payments on its multi-billion dollar loans. Now its billionaire chairman is under police surveillance, its shares are practically worthless and more than a million people in China are still waiting for their homes to be completed. I guess my first question would be, why was there so little (none) oversight with this company's dealings and doings?0 points
