My best friend in kindergarten was this very silly and incredibly sweet mute girl named Haley, but she sadly moved away during the next summer. She really helped me with a lot of things I was struggling with during that first year of school, and I'd always wished she hadn't moved away in the ensuing years...though I'd myself move away a handful of years later, and then again, and again, and again thereafter. Anyways, moral of the story being, try to treat people with kindness and you might make some genuinely good friends from it, though it's obviously a lot more difficult in adulthood than it is as a schoolkid.

It's interesting that there has been some vocal outrage among Russians who find it unseemly indeed that the Kadyrov family is allowed to break the law like this, apparently without repercussions. Contrast this with the almost complete lack of Russian outrage over the country's attempt to destroy Ukraine as a nation and Ukrainians as living human beings.

I''m about 30 hours into Fallout 2 and as predicted its been a very entertaining CRPG experience. I like all the changes compared to FO1 and they improve on some of the original mechanics like how you interact with your companions I have completed loads of quests and activities in the starting towns that include the Den and Redding. I love how they have expanded on the themes in the dialogue so you come across hilarious options where you accuse people of bigotry like how Sulik was being treated and the general low opinion some people have of you " being a tribal person" I am particularly enjoying the lack of resources and money on early levels but I got lucky, I joined a Caravan to Vault City and despite some really tough random encounters I was able to survive and I looted from the dead enemies loads of new weapons and ammunition which I plan to sell and use now that I have reached Vault City And combat seems harder, or at least much harder enemies like the Wanamingo. I still cant kill them yet, I was trying on level 4-5, but now I have better weapons I will go back to the mines in Redding But I like the harder combat and the way the game has no level scaling. Its always appreciated and adds to the overall risk vs reward

A deaf girl has started to drive for my workplace, and I've been hanging around her when she shows up to make sure she's ok, since I know a teeny lil bit of Swedish sign language unlike my colleagues. I feel bad for her when something is broken and her hands are full of grease and her only way of communicating is her tapping out messages on her cellphone. Naturally, merciless teasing has begun. 🙄 And I've to both of our amusement noticed how much of an automatic action it is for me to turn down the radio when I stop to talk to a driver 😄 It does sometimes fall into David Armand territory for me though 😅

Started a new Corpo V with Tech/Cool and later some Int (or maybe earlier if I feel like it) for the addon. Playing on hard, which so far is... not, although all I've done so far are NPCD scanner hustles and the gig where you steal back someone's eye, but even the larger organized crime hustles are not too difficult. The new grenade system is super powerful. Just as long as you stay mobile and don't run into an exposed area without the extra mitigation from sprinting perk it's fine.

^ I've had 32 ram for over 4 years now and the only thing that would go near to filling it all up briefly was 7 Days to Die's map generator when it was not optimized yet (eg it's better/not like that now). So again, only certain types of people/tasks would warrant more, imo, even today. And I totally understand the longevity aspect. I try to build like that too. So for a year maybe I have an uber rig but then I spend a lot of years turning stuff down, and down, because what I cared about were certain longevity aspects more than having/maintaining uber.

No, and no. You can always add RAM later, that is fairly easy to do, and there probably won't be a 4090 Ti anyway as AMD is giving nVidia no reason to release one. DIY might save you a pretty penny though.

Or are interested in demanding titles at 1440/4k High/Ultra/RT. And would prefer as much as possible not to have to use DLSS just to get 60-ish fps 😛 CPU in a new build is currently, imo, just as important as GPU. Don't cheap out there. I knew when I went big-screen-4k that I'd have to leap more often and higher to keep up, even when I'm not an Ultra (edit) or RT type of person. DLSS has improved a lot since the start but I still don't like to use it. But yeah, if one is using 1080p and won't care about next-gen demanding/snazzy titles/features, 4090 is still overkill.

I am having trouble starting the content for Forgotten Sanctum DLC. I have: checked it is listed on the main menu page as installed completed Magran's Teeth and Mapping the Archipelago: Tikawara. Made my way to the centre of the Halls Unseen - cannot find any stairs. I am at the point where I am able to go to Ukaizo (have the coming storm quest left), but not sure I have allied with a faction - I was going for Huana and I dont have any of their quests left. So to start Forgotten Sanctum DLC what specifically do I now need to do? • If you have done so, you will encounter an earthquake event that will allow the DLC to be accessed. • Sail to the Hall of the Unseen located on an uncharted island directly south of Tikawara. • Venture inside the Halls of the Unseen, make your way to the center, and go down the stairs to start the DLC. The above steps are when it is possible - but not recommended - to start the DLC. Instead, to ensure you are around the appropriate power level, there is an additional event that can fire: • Make sure the earthquake has occurred due to completing either Magran's Teeth or Mapping the Archipelago: Tikawara. • You must be ready to journey to the end of the game to Ukaizo. This is either by decking your ship out with the blackwood hull and dragonwing sails, or by allying with one of the four major factions. • Sail on the world map for 12-24 hours in game time. This will trigger an encounter where Llengrath lands on your ship to speak to you. This will start the first quest of the Forgotten Sanctum DLC. • Sail to the Hall of the Unseen located on an uncharted island directly south of Tikawara. • Venture inside the Halls of the Unseen, make your way to the center, and go down the stairs to start the DLC.

For the probable price/performance gain, I would say no. If I was going to wait for anything, it'd be longer term and the 50xx at this point. If the only concern is gaming, generally I would say ... no. Except, perhaps, if you're one of those who likes to run a game with 500 mods and mega texture packs. Or, er, maybe if you like having 400 browser tabs open. Or if you constantly do specific non-game software/tasks that are extremely RAM heavy. But for general desktop/office/gaming concerns - nah, there's no need. Ram's also easy to add to or swap later. Well, typically, not familiar with Dell.

I confirm that it works if you restart a game. I'm coding a software to configure companions and I didn't understand this last point. Since I was reloading my save at the beach, I couldn't find my stats. To see if it does the same thing with the other companions...

The only streaming service I will endorse is Criterion Channel. It's got a lot of the stuff that appeals to the @Bartimaeus in these days and generally does a pretty good job rotating the library. There aren't any series or original content on it, but for the most part that has been disappointing on most of the other streamers these days anyways. I think that Netflix is going to be the next on my chopping block. El Conde was fantastic but it was also a complete surprise because Netflix has sort of trained me to expect their movies to be bad and their series to get cancelled after one season. I logged in the other day and for the life of me couldn't find anything I was interested in watching.

There is quite a lot of combat, which, despite being very comfortable and good-looking, might get repetitive quickly. Still, it was a fun game with some interesting mechanics and story developments (which I don't remember). I think, the main storyline was mostly linear with 1 branch at the end of each chain of side quests? The reincarnating fey (?) were quite original, though. I also haven't played the newer expansion myself yet - it was released after I replayed and uninstalled the remake (40GB+, I think?), so might try some time later. --- Unavowed. A point and click adventure in the urban fantasy setting. So far so good, if slightly too easy. But at least I understand the logic of the puzzles.

we were interested, but somebody with similar taste in flicks to us saw it and told us mad god woulda' been an intriguing visual spectacle if it were edited down to twenty minutes... or less. for our friend, mad god were too much shock value w/o enough substance to carry it for a feature length offering. we will likely see it eventual, but am not a dedicated fan o' grotesque horror and if am unwilling to put up with james joyce being conscious obtuse, then is almost zero chance we will will grant phil tippett more leeway. I recruited the final companions and helped stop a hostile takeover. I'm thinking that I'll try to find Orin or find out what's got Umberlee's priestesses so angry next, but there's also Astarion's and Shadowheart's quests that are pretty obvious where to go.

I reached the map after the battle with Ketheric and I'm disappointed I can't go to camp. I found a device that lets you insert certain items and I was pretty sure I had other of these items in my camp chest. A reload confirmed that and now I'm considering redoing this area just to check those items. I've fought only one combat so far, which was ridiculously easy as all enemies kept falling prone because of Sleet Storm, but it was also a long one. Also, there was another entrance to this map that I found earlier but I didn't explore. I think it is the one marked on the map as the quests I still have to do. Unless there is a massive corridor going around the area I already explored, it doesn't seem I'll get to visit it. I wonder if there was anything important there.

After Yang (2021) Colin Farrell plays a dad trying to fix his daughter's sibling robot in a future with clones and other utopian techo stuff. It's very melancholy, so much so that I was very sad after watching it. Definitely not something you want to watch when you're feeling down. That aside, it's a very good film, kind of like the inverse of the Liam Neeson "dad detective/soldier" films where the dad kills lots of dudes to rescue his kids. It's very meditative and slow, with focus on family dynamics in the near future and memory. I dug it. I wanted to watch it a while ago but forgot about it with everything else going on, thanks for reminding me about it.

That's because they *chose* to not do anything to help in Hawaii. But that choice has nothing to do with their choices on Ukraine. These choices are independent of each other is what I'm saying, whereas you are linking the choices together. There is no evidence to support that they chose to not do anything in Hawaii only *because* they chose to help Ukraine, which is what you are claiming and the part that I am disagreeing with. So, two separate, independent, and unconnected policy choices being made by the president: 1) Help Ukraine (I strongly agree with this policy decision choice) 2) Don't do squat for the people of Maui (I strongly disagree with this policy decision choice) Two separate issues and decisions. Tyranny is too dominated by magic. Make a mage MC. I used this build to great effect, with some minor adjustments. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=814845354 All that really matters is collecting sigils and boosting lore to high levels with skycap (and other means) so you can craft stupidly powerful spells. The game becomes pretty easy once you get your lore high enough, and saving trainer points can be used to get lore well over 200. Barik sucks. The best companions are magic users. Lantry is probably the best, then I'd take Eb and Syrin. Syrin makes the best tank. I do find fights kind of degenerate as all you need to do is have enough spells and sigils to blast off all your ice/fire spells like with frostfire sigil, and if you have enough spell slots and lore (cyclical energy sigils) you can just cast nonstop. @thelee I do miss farsight + wizard eye + spell immunity + mislead/project image. Also BG is one of the only games I've played that actually had good thief classes (I particularly enjoy bounty hunter maze traps). And I didn't learn about the limited wish quest until my third or fourth playthrough which was awesome. Also the optional but insanely hard fights like the twisted rune, kangaxx, etc... I'm thinking of playing it again. I always have to start with BG1 and play the whole series so I have all the tomes and whatnot so it takes a while though. I know you can use shadowkeeper to just edit the tome stats in and items but it doesn't feel the same. The amazing megadungeons like Durlag's Tower and Watcher's Keep seem lacking in any recent video games including Deadfire. POE1 did have Endless Paths, wish Deadfire had something like that.

Hey good folks, I don't want to create a separate thread for this question, but hopefully it also won't be considered too off-topic. I'm in the process of buying my new gaming desktop computer. As my last two machines were Dell, I think I will just stick with Dell again, as I actually had a really good experience with Dell Support in fixing something with my current machine a few years ago which they did at no cost to me even though my warranty had expired. The machine I'm looking at has the Nvidia 4090 GPU. Question 1: should I wait for the 4090 Ti? Question 2: My current customization of the machine is for 32 GB of RAM. Going to 64 GB would add $500 to the already-hefty tag of around $4100. Worth it? I would welcome any and all thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
