  2. That's a great policy. I waited 2 full years before playing Cyb77 and I was still disappointed

  4. After I thought I have lost a video of my Druidstone gameplay during my PC upgrade, after almost two years I have finally found it It is a guide and walkthrough of Speedrunner achievement on Hard Difficulty. This is the only video of this achievement on Hard on YT, so it might be possible, that no one else so far, has bothered to get it this way The preparation of tactics for this took me more than two hours and then another half hour to have a luck with RNG on book spawn to be able to perform it correctly

  5. I finished Gothic 2 after about 100 hours and as I mentioned in a previous post its a highly recommended, classic PB design game which includes all the things we love about PB games which are no level scaling and no map hand holding an open world and multiple ways to advance skills and lots of side quests I played as a Paladin and I also used scrolls in certain combat strategies. I adopted a good approach to defeat the dragons which included a Summon Demon spell and then I attacked while the dragons were distracted G2 gets a well deserved 70/100 on the globally respected " BruceVC game rating system " Now the next exciting question, what next to play? I have several options which I will post later

  7. 11 hours later, I've triggered a.. uh.. main event. And now crap hits the fan, like literally. I'm completely outgunned, getting f'd on all sides. Spend the last 2 hours on trying to win a fight against 10 enemy dudes, and I'm getting wrecked. Had to retreat a couple times, while picking off a few hostiles here and there, to try to weaken the next wave... I didn't realize what wimps the legion is... now I'm wishing them back. Jeez. Makes me wonder if I jumped ahead in the story a little too fast, or if it's intended like that. The enemies are rolling over my militia as if it doesn't even exist. Just by pure miracle (probably the god of random) I was able to keep one of my mines. Luckily I'm swimming in cash with half a million ... Decided to set up a 2nd team now, so brought back a few of my old pals. Shadow, Reaper, Scope, and as new addition, Fauda. Will see how that works out.. have to escape from starter island now, which has been completely overrun as well.

  10. I think if you go into the features tab on your character, you'll see Animal Companion with a number next to it. Try increasing that to see if it increases the animal companion level. If you're down with cheating and mods....there's a feat for Cavaliers in TTT that makes animal companions scale with character level called Horse Master. Also, if you can wait Trickster gives you 2d6 sneak attack at MR3 so you can qualify for Arcane Trickster right after getting it without taking a Rogue dip. If you respec class levels you can max Arcane Trickster by level 14 with a sorcerer. Divine Guardian isn't worth it. Paladin spells contain useful personal buffs that outweigh whatever the non-caster Paladins get in return.

  11. Yes, BG3 is my most anticipated game of all time But Wormie remember my policy, I always wait 3-6 months to play new games so that the official patches are released and relevant mods are created Thats how I avoid a Cyb2077 disappointment and anger

  14. So I've tried using a machinegun, and I think now I get why some folks have issues with ammo. That thing is blasting inside the view cone like there is no tomorrow. It's pretty easy to use up 100 rounds of 7.62 in a single battle. But on the other hand, I'm cutting down enemies so fast... it's highly effective.

  15. Starting island is maybe 4 hours. Probably a bit less for most. Only significant 'complaint' I have so far is performance, the game doesn't look good enough to be quite as slow as it is even on an old card. Niggles are there being no buying/ selling, or at least so far as I have got. Plus the voice acting is far too good for a Jagged Alliance game. Where is the iconic "she. is. evil. . a. driven. bitch" type stuff where it sounds like they grabbed someone off the street and held them at gunpoint to deliver their lines?

  16. Sigh. The WFP is, of course, free to buy Russian grain to replace the Ukrainian grain it bought- and it did buy it, though you'd be excused for thinking they didn't and it was given away by the language used in some reports. ie Good Guy Russia, wfp has more money to buy grain since they now only have to supply ~20% of the amount to Africa they used to. Which, and this left me flabbergasted amazed and bewildered, wasn't actually 725kt. In a Very Surprising turn of events western media included amounts sent to non African countries (Afghanistan, Yemen) and one country that already has a replacement deal with Russia (Ethiopia) in their figures. Indeed, supposedly the 4 biggest receivers of WFP food aid were: Ethiopia, Turkey (!, presumably earthquake related), Afghanistan and Yemen (via wsj, but it's paywalled) and the only African country there is Ethiopia. Somalia is also western aligned, at least in theory. And, of course, the AU head's comments can very easily be read as criticism of the west for trying to stifle Russia's food exports. And yes, I know there's a lovely EU page saying they aren't doing that, it just leaves out every bit where they are. Which the Africans are very much aware of. And and once again again, if Europe and the US really wants to help Africa and stick it to Russian agricultural exports they could skip a few collective burgers. Then there would be plenty of cheap food and a lot less leverage. That takes some self control though, eh.

  18. I kickstarted it and I've already played it a bit, but I'm still waiting for the full release to start a serious campaign. They expect to be done with it within the year (a year from now, so 2024), so it's not too far off. I like to support the smaller developers this way, as I know that $30 or whatever goes a long way for them. Big AAA releases can sit and spin. I'll buy them when they've worked out all the bugs.

  20. Tried to recreate an IWD2 party in Pathfinder, just to play with some builds and preview what a full custom party would look like. I made a Paladin Divine Guardian, turned a Rogue into a Slayer Executioner and a Cleric into an Oracle. Not sure how well these decisions would be without playing for some time.* My sorcerer would be the main character, Crossblooded Gold Dragon, with maximized fire damage. Looks good enough. The Barbarian I turned into a Hunter 1/Bloodrider 19, the Hunter level so I could have a boar. Not enough hit points, but besides that looks interesting. Finally, I wanted a Druid with Ascendant Electricity. Tried a Mystic Theurge and the animal companion became useless. So I made another one (Druid 16) and gave the character three levels of Loremaster to learn Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning and a level of Crossblooded. Boon Companion made up for the loss of Animal Companion levels. In the end, I had a Boar, a Horse, a Mastodon and a Wolf. Made most of them pick the Bully subclass for trip (dogs, wolves and leopards are not my favorite animal companions in the game). Also learned that I can't increase an animal companion's level with Toy Box for whatever reason. For my Trickster run I was considering a Sylvan Sorcerer 9/Rogue 1/Arcane Trickster, with a raptor. It would be level 13 so I considered leveling it up with Toy Box. Not an option then. I wouldn't mind picking Boon Companion twice, if there was a mod for that. Now I'll have to choose between having a weak animal, abandoning it completely or not picking Arcane Trickster. *Just saw that the Divine Guardian loses the ability to cast spells. Not sure if it's worth it.

  21. Regill didn’t stick around for my trickster game, but my barbarian was also very chaotic. He didn’t seem to appreciate that I’ll probably miss Seelah and her trusty steed Sybian, but that is Ok. I might still not be lawful enough for Regill when the time comes. He’s already being pushy, I have to go meet his buddies. I would like to keep him and his raptor mount (“Raptus”) around a bit longer this time

  22. I ended up disabling all mods and starting an Aeon Inquisitor in Inevitable Excess. Unfortunately the game still crashes when I try to use Enforcing Gazes or Judgments. Maybe bad news for @Sarex's monk.
