I had a bout of flu last week, and then it lingered with enough of the cold and sniffles that I spent all week working from home rather than spreading the remnant of it around the office. Added fun with dad starting off a fresh round of chemo this week, so trying to both keep my distance from him while providing aid as needed. On other matters, finally having some weather that's actually warm enough to paint in, and watching the humidity drop below 85%, so took advantage of that WFH to dart outside every now and again and get a little priming and such done to the Mando costume stuff. 48 days till SW Celebration, and technically I'll probably need it ready 3 weeks in advance of that for MandoMerc app process - and that's if everything clears first time around. Just to fill the thread with pictures now... Played for 2 hours and requested a refund. It is a hack and slash action game. You get attribute points from clearing combat zones. There are character customisation and AI-controlled companions, but no dialogue choices, non-combat skills, or tactical combat (can't give commands to the companions or pause). One save slot per character.1 point

MS has so little to do with XCOM formula that it really shouldn’t have an impact. That did give me pause, though Firaxis doing third-person “hand-out and-talk-to-heroes” was an even bigger red flag. Played couple hours - disturbingly little gameplay so far. Combat has potential, though it is difficult to say how it develops. It’s far more casual - and I mean in in terms of handholding and complete lack of tension, rather than complexity. There is cool stuff there - it’s a hybrid of card game but positioning and “board” does come into consideration, so it actually feels quite natural to play as a computer game. Surprisingly I don’t mind writing. It is stilted, and corny but so far it is not without charm. But there is too much of it, keeping me away from being able to actually play the game. In all it is decent - at least it’s quite one of a kind. I am not sure if I will be convinced to make a purchase once the free weekend is finished. One day, but probably not now. oh and it runs like ass - or rather it runs fine, until it briefly doesn’t. So far every mission summary happens at 2FPS per second. Texture loading, geometry popping in, sudden frame dips when skills are activated.1 point

Our district IT disabled javascript because of security concerns, and now everyone is having trouble accessing a ton of different apps.1 point

As a Twin Peaks fan you should watch the Dual Spires episode of Psych Shot with a potato dipped in vaseline1 point

Still at Tales of Arise. I have defeated Lord Ganabelt - second of Renan leaders, ruler of Cyslodia. He was sleazy **** and his laws were atrocious, and similar to what you had in communist East before 1989, or today’s Russia. Fight was harder than fight with Lord Balseph, and he was able to cast his Mystic Arte twice, which almost obliterated my party. (We are 4 already). But he is gone, and will not “suffocate” Dahnan’s of Cyslodia anymore. Even the sun has risen for the first time in 300 years after the artificial darkness was dispersed along with his defeat Also, yesterday I had my first Ranked Race during Rain in Assetto Corsa Competizione. I would not be able to to finish it, without help from a friend on Discord, who helped me to make some adjustments to setups. Despite that, I failed at qualification, as I struggled to finish a valid lap in rain conditions so I have started from the bottom of the grid The race went much better, as I was slowly able to learn how to control the car, and in the end, I have gained 9 positions during 30 minute long race1 point

The first time I played with the expansions I left some of Act II for later and it was ridiculously easy for my level. If you want to avoid making the game (too) easy, I suggest this order: - Act I - Act II until - White March I - Finish act II - Act III - White March II - Act IV For the Endless Path, just go as far as you can and return every time you gained two more levels. There will still be some areas too easy, but at least, if you follow this order, you'll be able to scale up acts III, IV and the expansions. And as others said above, do side quests first and be careful with that Dyrford quest. Edit: explained better what is "finish act II"1 point

I did not miss the point. This was what the description means/implies 1. Enemies attacks wearer of said shield 2. The shield will trigger a counter on the attacker of the shield wielder as a attack which will cause confusion on the attacker 3. The "confusion" counter attack does not land automatically but is roll against the defence of the attacker (should be Will in this case, but should check the log to be sure) 4. If the confusion counter rolls a hit or graze, the attacker will receive the Confusion status 5. If the confusion counter rolls a crit, the attacker will be charmed You are misreading the description. The description clearly states "receiving a critical hit has a 50% chance to cause confusion (upgrades to charmed on crit). Like I said it doesn't make sense, how can it be an upgrade from a crit to a crit? The description doesn't mention anything about hits or grazes. I am not misreading. Item description Receiving Critical Hits from Melee Attacks has a 50% chance to cause Confused on attackers (Upgrades to Charmed on Crit) If the 50% component is included, I will elaborate it as: 1. Enemy attacks wearer of said shield in melee. 2. Attacks from enemy goes through a hit resolution check to determine the miss/graze/hit/crit state of the attack. This is the Melee Attacks part. 3. If the attack is qualified as a crit, the following sequence is continued. Otherwise the sequence is exited and the following steps are not considered. This is the Receiving Critical Hits from Melee Attacks part. 4. Before the counter is even triggered, it first goes through a 50% chance check to see if the attack goes through. This component is essentially a coin flip and will not follow the normal hit resolution check. This is the 50% chance part. 5. If the 50% check is failed, the sequence is exited and the rest of the steps are not considered. 6. If the 50% check is successful, the shield will trigger a counter on the attacker of the shield wielder as a attack which will cause confusion on the attacker. This is the cause Confused on attackers part. 7. The "confusion" counter attack does not land automatically but is roll against the defence of the attacker (should be Will in this case, but should check the log to be sure). This is the cause part. There are procs in this game that also need to first do a hit resolution check before the attack resolves. This is the case here as well. 8. If the confusion counter rolls a hit or graze, the attacker will receive the Confusion status 9. If the confusion counter rolls a crit, the attacker will be Charmed. This is the (Upgrades to Charmed on Crit) part. 10. If the confusion counter rolls a miss, nothing will happen. Combat log should state that the counter attack has missed the attacker of the shield wielder. Look the description as I mentioned could use some cleaning up. But this is what goes on. Feel free to look through the logs. And to a certain degree, there are other procs that work somewhat similarly. Why must it be the case that I am misunderstanding the way the proc works? If so, do you mind explaining what is happening in your perspective?1 point

This Psych episode is as close as I'll ever get to watching Twin Peaks. Well...actually, I've seen a couple of episodes of Twin Peaks, so I guess I should say it's as close as I'll ever get to enjoying it.0 points
