  1. Hey ya'll! A bunch of issues including Firefox not working and special characters causing posts to get error messages should be fixed as of yesterday. We have 1 more fix incoming after some testing today that should also help with the cookies causing posts to get eaten. I'm hoping we can get that out tomorrow and have everything resolved by that point. Please keep me appraised if you continue to run into any issues so we can get them fixed up for you Thanks as always!

  2. I did watch season 1 of Breaking Bad but I was not a fan of it, so maybe @Bartimaeus should give it a go if previous patterns are anything to go by.

  3. Hubby and I joke whenever one of us leaves the house - miss ya already, can't wait to ignore you when you get back. So this afternoon, I can once again ignore my husband, and I will be very happy.

  5. ...most of the time with single-arc narrative series that go on for multiple seasons, I stop after the first season, maybe 2.5 seasons at most. I find they just do not hold up most of the time, or devolve into 80% padded filler and constant over the top cliffhangers - which can work in shorter movies but for 5+ seasons I rapidly stop caring. Breaking Bad is one of the few exceptions, for me (although I grew pretty weary of Jessie's chr eventually). ...I still vastly prefer a one-main-arc per season format, whether it's a multiple season show or once and done. Maybe because I grew up when mini-series on networks were frequent/king for a while. Long enough to explore a plot more thoroughly than a 2hr movie, but not long enough to wear out its welcome or for writers to run out of ideas on how to keep extending it.

  6. I don't know, usually how it goes with those is I quite like the first season as it builds up its characters and world while setting the stage for what's to come (so yeah, that would fit), then the focus completely shifts gears into the really drab plot-heavy stuff with nary a respite for anything else and it starts becoming difficult to remember what I even liked about the show in the first place. So maybe I would really enjoy the first season which Sarex disliked...but chances are, I'd get halfway through the second before going "eeehhh...maybe later...and by 'later', I mean never".

  7. Good news then, because Breaking Bad starts off as character driven black comedy in the first season and then becomes an angry dark drama. One might actually think the parallels are intentional. Although, well, even at the beginning Breaking Bad had much bleaker moments than the initial Better Call Saul episodes.

  8. I should have known your hate game would have prevented you from watching Breaking Bad tbh.

  13. I don't think I have enough of a handle on your exact tastes to even guess if you'd like it or not. I wouldn't call the film a must-watch, even tho I enjoyed it a lot. I think it's one of Ralph Fiennes finer performances of late and the dark comedy was on point, for me. But it did have small lulls and the middle section was probably the most effective. Edit: The lead actress Anya Taylor-Joy was fantastic too. And to say, I did like the ending/resolution, but not as much impact as it was aiming for. eg I wanted a little more than it gave, I think.

  15. Watched episode 1-5 so far. Hilarious I can't binge watch it, but sneaking in an episode or two when stopping by Youtube is great. Will definitely watch more episodes of it

  18. Slow Horses "Follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes." I ****ing loved it. I don't think there has ever been more perfect bastard than Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb.

  19. Vertical Half Walls would be a great addition and is a no brainer in my opinion. It would help so much for building.

  20. Please add the ability to teleport pets. Many bases are built with the idea of not allowing bugs inside of them, making pets almost entirely null if you wish to have one. I live in a base I made on the side of the big tree, it would be nice to be able to teleport a weevil or aphid up to my home and keep them safe.

  21. Cowbop Bebop, episode 5. Spike goes and talks to a lady from his past hitherto unmentioned, Faye is stupid and rushes on ahead of everyone else and gets caught, Spike has a non-Mexican standoff with a man from his past hitherto unmentioned who keeps some kind of crow-like bird on his shoulder and uses a katana. It didn't feel well setup and Vicious the crow-katana man was super lame, so I'd put it down as the worst episode so far. Trying to have some kind of character-driven plot isn't a bad idea, but c'mon, let's tighten it up, that just wasn't very good - Faye being a moron was the episode's only saving grace. That camcorder was my favorite character.

  22. We got Punt Fest 2023 going on in Tampa. Edit: Holy **** a first down! BRADYCEPTION! Brett Maher, what the ****!? 2 missed extra points. New strategy, just go for 2 from now on because this mother****er can't hit the broad side of a barn. After the first 2 Dallas series that were so impotent that they were reminiscent of a pair of blackout drunk teens sloppily making out then passing out before they could get undressed and get down to business, our offense has been on fire. Dak in particular has been throwing laser beams. The only blemish is Brett Maher missing 3 (3!) extra points. WHY THE **** AREN'T WE JUST GOING FOR 2!? Anyway, we're up 18-0 at the half, should be 21-0, but that's still dang good. I'll take it but I'm still nervous. Brett Maher just missed his 4th extra point tonight and 5th in a row. STOP ****ING KICKING THE ****ING EXTRA ****ING POINT FOR ****S SAKE! JUST ****ING GO FOR ****ING 2. WHAT THE ****!? Maher FINALLY made an extra point, but this again brings up the question: Why aren't we just going for 2? It doesn't matter at this point because the game is SUPER OVER. Is Brett Maher on this team next week?
