Agiel
M: Unlike the American government, we prefer not to get our bad news from CNN. 1 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling

Guard Dog
Some genuinely nasty reactions to Melania Trump reciting the Lords Prayer at the rally on Saturday. It's a funny thing. The left is pretty high on the "make no law regarding the establishment of a religion" part of the first amendment but totally ignore the "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" part. I'd just like to ask them where you there? No? Then what do you give a s--t? The biggest flaw in the notion of a free country is too many jackasses (intentionally used with double meaning) think THEY get to decide what other people are free to do. 1 "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell

NBC & CNN reported that it happened but did not report on the venom or public criticism. I would laud them for that but the thing is left wing biased news media tends to not report on nastiness from people who share their leanings. Had it been Michelle Obama and nasty comments came from folks on the right CNN & NBC would have been all over that. Raithe
Swedish Police featured in Fox News segment say the filmmaker is a madman .... Trump’s comments about Sweden during his rally in Melbourne, Florida, spawned headlines in newspapers all around the world. The American president later clarified on Twitter, saying that he was referring to a segment on Fox News about a film by filmmaker Ami Horowitz. But the policemen who were portrayed in the segment say that they were misrepresented by Horowitz. ”He is a madman”. .... "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum." Wrath of Dagon
Those policemen are probably afraid of getting fired for breaking the omerta. Valsuelm
They were relatively polite those policemen at least. They didn't spout 'racist!', they only spouted 'madman!'.. Whatever their motives they are deluded if they don't think immigration has caused an increase in crime in their nation as well as many other problems. Police peoples are known for being deluded though, finding two that are isn't hard. All that said, I don't know the details, but taking things out of context is the name of the game in modern propaganda land. I've no patience or respect for it in the arena of serious discussion. If the documentary maker that Fox paraded is guilty of such dishonesty, may his balls rot off his body. If he's innocent of the charge, cheers to him. Azdeus
Except that they are allowed to say such things and wouldn't risk their jobs by doing so. And by your own words, Springare is delusional aswell. These are statistics from the Swedish National Crime Survey. Translation for the colours; Threat, Harassment, Fraud, Assault, Sex-crimes, Muggings. Reported crimes in the city of Malmö, the town where we unfortunately dump many immigrants and one of the areas where we have had the most reported problems. Number of deaths caused by another person per 100 000 residents and their gender. Edit; Forgot the sexcrimes stats, will update in a moment. Can't get the actual graph to link properly, so here are the numbers; Overall reprted sexcrimes in 2006; 12147 In 2015 18057 In 2005 there were changes to the law that meant that some crimes that were previously sexual exploitation became rape instead and the law was changed further to include that if the victim simply was too scared to resist, it would also be classified as rape. This does'nt account for all of the increase though. Edited February 20, 2017 by Azdeus Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Elerond
Sweden's crime statistics from last year don't tell about alarming rise of crime rates they seem to be quite stagnant http://www.thelocal.se/20170112/swedens-2016-crime-stats-analyzed Although with sexual crimes, researchers aren't sure why their rates have gone somewhat back and forth in past couple years. The Local also published article by couple Swedish journalists that say that some of the claims that Horowitz made don't check out. http://www.thelocal.se/20170220/sweden-facts-a-closer-look-at-filmmaker-ami-horowitz-claims Edited February 20, 2017 by Elerond

Is this seriously the argument that you want to put forth? You have several groups of people One has 8 million people from which 5% commit crimes = 400 000 criminals Then you have second group of people that consist of 200 000 people from which 8% commit crimes = 16 000 criminals Then you have third group of people that consist of 3 000 people from which 22% commit crimes = 660 criminals Who are the people that are actually committing crimes in this equation? Like for example how much of total crimes you are able to prevent by focusing on those 3000 people that have very high probably to be criminals.
