Bendu Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Unfortunately, I never played Demon's Souls. I didn't own a Playstation at the time, so my first Souls game was Dark Souls. Of course I watched some Let's play of the game, but yeah, it's not the same. But I hope they will release a remasterd version for the PS4 at some point. 1
ShadySands Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Just finished SoD the other day so now I want to try to push through PoE because I haven't been able to get further than the first few areas on any playthroughs beyond my very first SoD was good fun but not without some issues for me like how it railroads you into certain things even though your character should know better about some things at those points. Free games updated 3/4/21
Oerwinde Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I feel like this is a dumb question but SoD? The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
majestic Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 except for that suit but from i'm told it only hides the name and they can still see you on the map It's the name and hit points, which is a massive advantage in PVP. Nobody knows if and when they can burst you down and it makes you immune to called focusing. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.
GhostofAnakin Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Destiny seems to really hate my Warlock character. I've been sitting for weeks at just under 300 Light, largely because no matter what I do no equipment or weapons ever drop for me with a 300+ score. Even in the Iron Banner, when you get high end drops, mine always suck for my Warlock. I think I've played close to 50 Iron Banner matches with my Warlock and haven't gotten a single 300+ drop. And then today I try my secondary character, the Hunter. In literally my second ever PvP match (Iron Banner), a 303 chest armor drops as a reward post-match. Then two matches later, a 315 ghost drops, and then a 310 artifact by match 8. How is that possible? My Hunter has gotten THREE 300+ items in under 10 games in Iron Banner, yet my main character who I spend 90% of my time on and have played dozens more with, hasn't gotten one. Oerwinde Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Baldur's gate 3! :D Ha. All I could think of was Shadows of Darkness. The 4th Quest for Glory game. The BG games were some of my all time favorites, but for some reason I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on the new ones. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
GhostofAnakin Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I'm still wondering how Destiny's match making works. 9 times out of 10 I end up on the worst team possible, where over half the people on my team have horrible K/D ratios. It's not like my character has a high ranking, thus gets put with "low ranking" players. I'm still in the 290-297 range, and most players in the lobbies are 300+. I hold my own. My K/D is usually around 1 or slightly above, and I attempt the objectives of the map (ie. I usually lead my team or am close to the lead in flag captures). But it's soooooo frustrating being constantly placed on teams that are utter garbage. And it happens so much that I just don't get why. Katphood Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Busy with The Old Hunters DLC for Bloodborne. I am at The Research Hall right now and boy, does it look amazing! I have been putting my focus on Tonitrus and Ludwig's Holy Blade for now but I am also thinking of upgrading the Boom Hammer too. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

My Warlock actually got up to Light 300 (I "borrowed" my 317 ghost from my Hunter), yet every Iron Banner match, or every engram in patrol missions, turns up a 260 to 280 level item. Meanwhile, I played one more game of Iron Banner for my Hunter to finish off a bounty and he got a 315 sniper rifle drop as a post match reward. I don't understand the loot drop system in this game. At all. "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)

At all. No one ever did. Maybe you should try farming from Exotic engrams. With 300 light you have a small chance they turn into 310. Small chance sadly. THe closer you get to 310 the bigger chance , but it's never 100%. Busy with The Old Hunters DLC for Bloodborne. I am at The Research Hall right now and boy, does it look amazing! It's also weird that 90% of the time I get an exotic engram drop (or when a purple engram yields an exotic item when I exchange it) that it's for a different class. Just today I turned a purple engram into an exotic pair of boots, but they were for Hunters not Warlocks. The slots I'm having the most difficult time finding 300 level gear for are the primary weapon, the heavy weapon, the helmet, and the elbow/arm guards. The other slots, I've found a 300+ level item at least once, for at least one of my characters. Keyrock Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Enter the Gungeon, it's pretty damn great. It's kinda like Binding of Isaac, possibly even better. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Malcador Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 RT3 is good fun, forgot how nice it is to murder the competition. GOG release isn't rock solid stable though, couple of glitches. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
GhostofAnakin Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Apparently auto rifles really do suck in PvP. Every. Single. Time. I'll see my opponent before he sees me, hit him 3 or 4 times with my auto rifle and do nothing more than maybe drop his shields so all he has left is his full health bar, but then he simply turns to where I am, fires off one or two shots, and kills me. I don't know what Bungie is doing with this game, but the PvP is so unbalanced. Shotguns are overpowered (though I admit I use the shotgun for the cheap kills), and certain hand cannons are overpowered. It's like they hate the auto rifles and have gone out of their way to make them they worst (in terms of dealing damage) gun by a LONG shot. What makes it even more frustrating is my own lack of skill. I can't use hand cannons. I simply can't aim and hit when the opponents are jumping around and hovering like it's Halo. I'll get one shot in with my hand cannon, but then they just jump around and I can't hit that second shot. The only reason I subject myself to this is the legendary marks you're rewarded for playing a Crucible match. That, and when the Iron Banner comes around, you get some pretty nice item drops as reward. The only auto rifle that's viable these days is apparently the one you get from Trials of osiris. So High ROF low damage at least all the try hards used these, so i hear. Auto rifles were meta in the first few months of year 1 Destiny, then they were nerfed to complete trash and haven't recovered since. Some guns might be useful but never for all situations. And from what they posted about the incoming update i'm not sure i want to return to destiny anytime soon. 1.13 killed off Ja2.

the_dog_days Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Finished the first part of Van Helsing. It was pretty good. The last boss killed me about seven times before I figured out that his goons just respawn infinitely and started targeting the boss. Now I'm back to Dragon's Dogma. Not a mind blowing game, but addictive.
Katphood Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Now I'm back to Dragon's Dogma. Not a mind blowing game, but addictive. It can get tedious at times since there is no proper fast-travel system in the game but the world is worth exploring, it's pretty unique. I also enjoyed the ending a lot. There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

With the Dark Arisen expansion (and let me just say, I'm not a member of the grammar police--hell, look at my posts--but the misuse of English in this game, even in the title, is horrendous) lets you fast travel easily. I used fast travel to cheeze most of the escort quests. 1
teknoman2 Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 i decided to play and i finished the first part of burial at sea. shorter than i expected but i guess normal length for a dlc of this decade 1 The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players...
