I'm tempted to resub to WoW. Someone stop me.

I miss my Warlock collection. I hear they have green fire and new talents!

Ehhhhh New talents is kinda pushing it. Basically instead of ye olde talent trees, you get

http://www.wowhead.com/talent#o|

That. And green fire is from a rare drop in the daily questing area.

i'm honestly debating trying Rift again.

Nooooo, don't do it, we'll never see you again! ;)

...I have yet to be tempted to go back to WoW, since I finally let go my sub sometime ago (hadn't played it for a couple years before that, either). But I do miss my pet leopard, sometimes, heh.

I'm playing Skyrim with the famed Dawnbug quest where you have to find a fix for a runtime error that Bethesda hasn't fixed for a year. Good times.

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

Don't do it, the grind is a pain now that you must grind for reputation and then grind for points to buy the reputation gear. I'm having fun levelling my alts, finally got my female Draenei DK armour that covers up, heh.

The grind is the part that always kills it for me. I enjoy the leveling content and soloing, but the second I have to start doing reps or dungeons multiple times, I just stop logging in and unsub.

How is the leveling content?

Rep-based gear now?

...I never tried to get all the fancy gear, since I only solo'd WoW and thus most of the "best" gear was out of my reach anyway. Well, at least when I was playing. No clue how it's done now. I definitely liked wandering around solo for a long time, however.

Well levelling through MoP was enjoyable, they've got a good hang of phasing and some of the characters aren't terrible. Leveling in WoW is pretty fun I must admit, for me, end game is where it dies for me.

Playing a few levels of Frozen Synapse, and came to a strange conclusion

I... really like the escort missions in this game. Especially the ones where I can't control the escortee at all. Probably because the NPC kind of works as a lure for enemies, so I can determine their tactics semi-reliably

Played Mass Effect 3 for around 5 hours today. This is really a mixed bag. Some things, I am really enjoying, but then something comes up and I just want to  :banghead: .

There's actually some good writing in there, but you have to search hard to find it. The whole EDI thing is hilarious to me. The enemy with a sword slicing up my shuttle in the Citadel was also a bit lolworthy. I do however admit that those enemies are fun to fight. I do enjoy the battles with decent enemy vareity, but I haven't liked it when there is a turret section or I have to defend someone doing something. Lots of brown enviroments wich gets a little boring. The story is mostly bad, with some parts being okay, I guess. I do like this game more than Dragon Age II, but that doesn't say much. Of the companions, Garrus is the only one I really like anymore. I only bring Garrus and Liara with me. I can't stand the others. What else? The scanning is back, wich it shouldn't be. I'm also not a big fan of the reapers chasing you after a few scans. Feels like a chore to have to come back for war assets. I have so much to say about the game but don't actually know how to say it. I want BioWare to be successful and I want to enjoy their games based on their history, but they don't appeal to me as much as they used to. I've enjoyed many of their games, but with Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age II, it isn't so easy to be excited anymore. The only reason I'm playing Mass Effect 3 is because it was free on PlayStation+. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. I'm not sure I'll get Dragon Age III either. They need to step up their game from DAII if I'm ever getting the sequel.

Reading this post makes it clear that I'm rambling, but that happens when you grow old.

They redesigned it so that you don't have to grind your face off in dungeons to get gear. It's either the Raid Finder or daily questing. Daily quests are INSANELY grindy, with 6-8 factions (initially) that'll take about a week and a half of every daily being done to hit revered (ie:Unlock most gear). You can do about 30-40 dailies now (although the devs don't really want you to do that many).

The solo stuff is ok, particularly leveling, but a new issue that's been introduced (on pvp servers) is that the less populated zones (basically everything that's not "current") is merged with other realms. So you end up with things like the Dark Portal being turned into a boneyard from camping/pvp wars.

Wait, wait, wait.  Escort missions that don't suck?  That's practically unheard of.  Are you sure you're feeling alright?

I take it you haven't played Frozen Synapse then, Key? :)

frozen synapse was pretty awesome, but i got tired of it after just a couple days, it only cost a few bucks though so definitely worth it.

currently playing tomb raider.... its really good.  feels like uncharted with a splash of arkham asylum. searching the levels for all the items is surprisingly fun.  i wish the stealth system was way more developed though, i like playing stealthy characters and too often im forced into a firefight because the game doesnt want me to sneak anymore.

one thing i think interesting, a lot of people say lara feels like a victim/prey early on in the game... i dont agree.  the very first enemy she encounters she knees in the balls, bites his ear off, then shoots him in the face.  then she says it was surprisingly easy to do.  thats not what i would consider a victim becoming a killer, instead i would describe it as a killer realizing she what her talents are.

Started up a new Be A Pro career in NHL13.  I don't know, the graphics look worse to me than I remember in previous versions.  Not only that but the players move a lot more choppy and uncoordinated on the ice.  The last time I played one of those games was NHL11, I believe (Patrick Kane on the cover), and it looked and played a lot better than this year's version, IMO.

Eh...

I think the issue is more how she sounds, and how much of a beating she takes. I mean EVERY SINGLE ACTION that she does is accompanied by incredible breathing and groans and whimpers of pain. I mean even when your average "prey" animal is cornered, it'll still fight back which is what most of Lara seems to be doing. Things are starting to wrap up in my game, but she's still turning to others to tell her what to do, and just isn't toughening up. I mean the game is falling into the Drakes Fortune trap where EVERYTHING starts to fall apart as soon as your character enteres the area.

tl;dr: Lara is still prey, even if she's fighting back, it's only because she's cornered.

King's Bounty - Loaded up an old game that I was far along on, and got back into it pretty easily.

I loaded this up yesterday too!  Much farther along this game than I was.

I played it way too late last night.  I think I'm close to beating it, but I need a better army.  My guy does best with mages in his army, but I'm super far away from any of those.  Still, I love the black dragons, not only do they simply rock, they give me the first initiative and I can throw a couple spells and use my book to devastate on the first turn.

For me it wasn't "getting tired of it" that was the problem. My problem was "being tired" and the game just was too demanding of my brain cells - trying to predict my opponent's moves and set up my orders accordingly.

Haven't gotten anywhere near that far yet.

My army lately typically consists of peasants, priests, bears, archers, and thorn warriors.  My issue with the game, I am finding, is that I seem to not have much confidence to look beyond "weak" fights to ensure I am not blowing my money on reinforcements, and that reinforcements appear to be finite (which is why I still use peasants).
