Anywho, heres the og band Slade: I remember buying a handful of Slade cd's back in the 80's when it was still a new media and cd's were relegated to a small corner at the back of the record stores This particular concert was not among those available though, just a perk of having youtube I guess (profanity warning!) 1 “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Anywho, heres the og band Slade: What I find especially interesting is that Quiet Riot's versions of both Noize and Mama Weer All Crazee Now are a lot better than the originals. It's not very often that that happens. It has to be said, though, that all the Led Zeppelin songs on their first album that are not originals (i.e. every single track except Good Times Bad Times, no matter what the album credits say) are better than the originals. But that's definitely a major exception.

Edited May 24 by Azdeus Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Gorth
Some old British... "something". Not really sure what it is. I remember buying Floodland when the CD came out in 87. Liked it enough to pick up a few more of their back catalogue. Floodland was produced by Jim Steinman iirc, which probably explains why an unknown band suddenly turned out hits edit: almost forgot one of my favourites of the late 80's, just before the music died 1 “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. bugarup
Hey, The Sisters of Mercy is the Goth band. Listened to them a lot in my formative years. LadyCrimson
It works, I like it better than the original, for some reason. More soothing, less sentimental. I haven't listened to John Denver in a long time. I wasn't a huge fan of his but my mom was. I remember him most from that "Oh God" movie (mom "dragged" me to it), actually, haha. I had one of his greatest hits type albums, liked about half of that. Probably my fave of JD's songs was actually this one “Things are as they are.
