As someone who loved Borderlands 2 and Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragons Keep in particular, this one piqued my interest. Cautiously anticipating it after the disappointment that was Borderlands 3

CD Projekt Red has announced that a new game in The Witcher series is in development. Unlike previous games, development will move from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5 as part of a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games. CDPR says that it'll closely collaborate with Epic Games' developers to help tailor the engine for open-world experiences.

Witcher 4 Epic exclusive, then?

That is firmly lodged in my time. My dad actually took me to Sierra in the late 80's and we did a tour of the game studio. I remember seeing artists work on Quest for Glory III.

Okay, I'm officially jealous and hate you now. 😛  I loved the Quest For Glory games.  I spent way, way, way too many hours just running around in Quest For Glory 1 (well, technically Hero Quest, iirc) fighting trolls just because it was awesome.

Way before my time, but interesting to see them making games again.

I feel weird about this one because it's called Colossal Cave but it's not based on Colossal Cave, as featured in the classic Night of the Lepus, but rather Mammoth Cave which is in Kentucky and probably never had a movie starring DeForest Kelley filmed there.

But did H. P. Lovecraft write "The Beast in the Cave" setting it in Arizona's Colossal Cave?  Nope!

I thought this was interesting, as I'd never heard of SNEG before (probably old news to everyone but was news to me): SNEG Director Chats Dungeons & Dragons Gold Box Classic Set

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

Considering it's not even a CGI trailer, I wonder how many years way it is exactly. 10+?

Move to Unreal Engine is interesting. RDPR liked developing it's own engine for their own needs. I suppose that

Suggests that Witcher4 will be open world - which is hardly a surprise. I imagine W3 fans would be in uproar if CDPR would reduce scope for the followup.

A bit side subject but I wonder what will FromSoftware future is. Will they be able to released more focused title in the future, or will everything "less" then Elden Ring be met with disappointment by wide audience?

I'm probably in the minority, but I would wholeheartedly welcome a less open and more deliberately paced and focused game.

open world are such obvious mistake

though the bigger problem of cd project game might be the level suppression

what is the point of a big map if most of it is level gated

Tiny Tina's Wonderland got itself an official launch trailer... still going to wait for feedback (yes, Borderlands 3 was that much of a disappointment)

No clue what to make of the trailer. At first I thought of System Shock, then of Deus Ex, and then of Doom.

Is it possible to be stealth gifted something on Steam? I have at least one game I have absolutely no clue how it got there.
