Hello, I am experiencing a terrible bug/gameplay issue that could be a game breaker if it occurs everywhere I go which thankfully it doesn't. However I need this resolved and also I have sent obsidian an email about this and received no response. Please help! When I enter Caed Nua everything bugs out. In Bright Hollow the background is completely white and the characters are transparent as well. How do I Fix this? Thank you -Tommy Wiseau

Having just finished my second full campaign of Pillars of Eternity and my first with the White March installed (I know I'm late to the party but I've gotten completely hooked having played 220 hours in the couple weeks I've owned the game) I've decided to push myself by playing on PoTD with Expert Mode enabled, and given that Deadfire is on its way early next year I want to create a character to import. However, I'm torn on how to build my party since I found Hard difficulty quite challenging by itself, and I built my party quite poorly to the point that I wasn't able to beat the Alpine Dragon or Llengrath, so I'd like some help building it this time so I don't run into the same problems. I do have a few ideas though, and some I'd be reluctant to part with. My MC has to be an Aedyr Meadow Folk because I have a custom portrait I intend to use, and I'd like to prioritise relatively high Mental stats to maximise dialogue options, but background and class are quite flexible. I'd like to pick a class that could have potential multiclass synergies, and I'd like to play one of a Cipher, Druid, Monk, Chanter or Ranger (in descending order of how much I want to play them). As far as the rest of the party goes, I'm planning on using Aloth, Edér and Pallegina throughout since they carry over to Deadfire, but the last 2 companions are quite flexible. I'd prefer not to use Sagani though, throughout my last campaign Itumaak was bugged and seemed to have a movement speed of 0.00001 in combat so I'd rather not have to deal with that again. Any help is much appreciated. (Side notes: Should I kill or bargain with Sefyra? It seems like I could run into her in Deadfire if I help her escape, but Scale Breaker seems like it would pretty useful. Same question applies for Llengrath. Also, I know it's a bit late to pledge for Deadfire, but I'd like to do so; however, is there any issue due to the fact that I'd be converting from GBP to USD?)

I'm playing through Pillars of Eternity for the first time (a little late to the party but alas I'm enjoying it) and I want to make sure I'm not making a game-ruining mistake here. I've decided that I'm going to side with the Crucible Knights this time through so while I was progressing "Rogue Knight" I traded Penhelm his Affidavit in return for Osric's Breastplate, only to discover that this version gives me the Quest Item Breastplate and not the equipable version. I then went to talk to Osric but there was no option for me to keep the Breastplate for myself so it seems like the only way to keep the Plate and keep Penhelm alive is to kill Osric and fail the quest. I saved and tested this, and I did get the equipable variant of the Plate but turned the entire Dozens faction hostile which led me to slaughter them all (gaining Cloudpiercer in the process) and before progressing even further I just want to make sure that this won't completely screw me over later if I wasn't planning on siding with them anyway. (Off-topic; after getting hooked on PoE I wanted to create an account for these forums only to realise that I'd actually created one back in 2013 and had completely forgotten about it. So this isn't technically my first post, but I'd consider it to be.)

If I had to choose between the Dozens and the Knights, I'd help out the Knights. Clyster (or whatever his name is) won't give me any further orders after finishing the forge knight schematics mission, and he says he won't do so because I'm an "ally of the Dozens". To be fair, I did accept a quest from those guys, but I didn't actually go out and start on it. Hell, I actually killed members of the Dozens, and I would think that carried more say regarding my loyalties. Am I forever fated to work for the Dozens now, to the complete exclusion of the Knights? This is really not what I wanted at all, and the opposite of what I would have chosen.

Not sure if there is already one of these threads, but if you have any suggestions please drop them below. Hopefully the devs will take them into account. Suggestions: 1: A way to purchase a reduced price RoTR extra content bundle for when you already have all of the things purchasable with gold, since $25 feels like too much for whatever that extra deck comes with. 2: A higher chest tier which only gives items you don't have yet or which lets you pick the deck the items are drawn from. 3: Re-spec heroes for 500 gold. 4: Making teleport boots ignore movement restrictions. 5: Adding optional objectives for quests. 6: Adding more daily missions so we have options and more variety. 7: Having a confirmation screen when clicking not to close a location, or when it happens while encountering a boss let us use that character to close that location again, as it was a clear mistake. Thanks for reading

rhymer's summon
Racemus posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hi. I began to play with wizard. On fist level up I chose rhymer's summon talent and after next load it disappeared. I have no talents now in character profile. What's going on? -
Hi guys, thanks for checking out my topic. I'm a new player and I just picked up PoE last week. I've gotten to the first town and messed around a bit but I'm having a bit of restartitis since there's a lot in this game to consider. I'm a very "Plan my play through" type of person so I want to know what build, items, party members, etc that I'll be going for. I play like this because the worst feeling for me in a game is regretting that I didn't make a different choice. Here's an example: I start playing a fire based Paladin only to find out that Paladin's main abilities are blue fire, which doesn't mesh with the aesthetic I want (true story). So I'd like to take some advice from you veteran's if you're willing to give it, so that I can actually get into this game in earnest. The first challenge is the party members. I'm very partial to story companions in games like this, so I do not want custom companions. This is a challenge because I prefer my groups to be diverse (race, gender, class) and to make sense in terms of gameplay (Even mix or range/melee, tank, healer, etc). The companions I am interested in are Eder, Aloth, Hiravias, Sagani, Pallegina, Durance, and maybe Grieving Mother. I really like Eder's personality, and I enjoy those with unique aspects (Pallegina, Hiravias, Sagani). Aloth, GM, and Durance are all being considered more because I've been told that they are important to the story than for any other reason, although I do think it necessary to have wizard and healer type characters in my party. Note that if I leave out Durance or Aloth it will most likely be due to me replacing them as I'll get to in a moment. So I ask you guys, what do you think a reasonable party is for me? Are Aloth/Durance/GM important enough to keep around? Or can I leave them in my stronghold and occasionally talk to them to get the same value? The next challenge is my class, which I've been having a ton of trouble with. Paladins are my bread and butter, I play them in every game where they are an option, and the next closest option if they aren't. This is my first experience with a game that messed up paladins so badly for me that I'm being forced to go elsewhere. Blue fire when every other bit of fire is orange? All of their best gear is bright green? No spells? It seems like their only role is to be a tank support, but if they are up front tanking then the only person receiving support is the fighter, and if they are in back supporting the ranged then their tankiness is somewhat wasted. Paladins in this game just feel like a drunken thematic rainbow that has no solid direction. /rant With that in mind, you know that I want to play the closest thing to feeling like a paladin from other games as I can get. I've narrowed it down to Barbarian, Wizard or Priest. Note that I like spells, and I especially like Firebrand, so that will be a staple of my character. The ideas are as follows: Barbarian: Off-tank using Flames of Fair Rhian and Dragon's Maw, switching to Firebrand to deliver the pain when needed. Interested in the ring of combusting wounds and other spellbound items/armors since Barbarians lack spells entirely. I really like the orange ability effects of the barbarian and their AoE nature. However, as a paladin "main" I find I have a great distaste for being known as a barbarian, and I find it hard to shake that feeling. I see their icon of crude weapons crossing a blood red skull and I throw up in my mouth just a little. Wizard: Self-buffer melee build with nice spells and Firebrand, probably a scepter or something before I get in melee. I'm very mixed on Wizard because most of their spells I have no interest in using, but the ones I like give me vast amounts of pleasure. Citzals Martial Power in particular looks amazing. However, their reliance on "blue" buffs like DAoM, arcane shield, etc turn me off greatly. The more I look at this the more I think Aloth could pull off a blue ice themed build with the spirit lance much better (though his starter spells are rubbish). Priest: Not entirely sure, but something like Abydon's hammer for spells into Firebrand when I need to conserve spells or when I run out. Priest seems like the logical alternative to Paladin, but I have similar or perhaps even greater issues with them as the wizard. I don't like having a bunch of spells that I have no interest in casting. I suppose the benefit of priest is that most of their spells fit a single theme (unlike wizards with frost/fire/arcane/corrosive/etc) but still. I'm not really sure how good priests are at buffing themselves vs supporting the party, but I think it would be nice to play one so long as I'm not just a buff bot for everyone else. So what do you guys think? As a barbarian all the party members I'm interested can be used, and as a wizard/priest obviously Aloth/Durance are no good. What class do you think will sate my paladin lust best? Which party members do you think will work best both for that character and story wise? Thanks very much for any help. If you have questions for me I will do my best to answer. Edit: I'm playing on Hard by the way, I tried POTD but it was a little too much. Also, Mobile was unkind to me when I typed this, there might be auto correct errors.

As the title says. I'm playing pathfinder with friends but do only have a few months of experience with Dungeons and Dragons. So far I have played as a dragonborn sorcerer and a halfling warlock in two different campaigns. Sadly enough, the dragonborn sorcerer campaign seems dying out (we don't get together as much) and apparently the chance that my halfling warlock dies in the next session is really high. Thus I'm looking at a new character. I am looking to create a necromancer cleric/gunslinger build. I want my character to be able to shoot guns from a distance and raise the dead. I believe because of this I will not be able to heal though (positive energy/negative energy). Within this multiclass I want more focus on the necromancer side of this multiclass build. I need someone who can give me a start, a place to look. Domains, spells, grit, guns, race, how can I best combine these two classes? I am not aiming to create a power play build. Thank you so much!

I'm dead set on playing a death godlike wizard because I love the lore and appearance, but I'm having some trouble deciding on the stats. My first instinct is to min-max, but I feel like I might be a little too squishy. I'm playing on normal, so I don't know how much it actually matters in the grand scheme of things. The builds here seem to be based on PotD, as well as optimal item combos, which I probably wont see until end game.

(1) On several occasions, when using a blessing to add dice/die to a check, it incorrectly REPLACES my die instead of adding a die. For example, if I'm rolling a d6 on a non-combat dexterity check and use Blessing of Calistra, my d6 goes away and instead I get 2 d4. This has happened with Blessing of Sarenrae and Blessing of Shelyn as well. I haven't used blessings for every case where I would get 2 dice, but I know those for sure. (2) I've used Seoni's arcane blast ability for some fights. I discard a card to activate it, but if I cancel it, it does not return the discarded card to my hand! (3) Sometimes when I want to use a weapon, by either reveal or recharge, those tabs don't appear. I usually just tap the screen where I think they may be and the effect still works, but this is an issue, nonetheless. (4) In the fight with Mokmurian, several of my characters have defeated him in the first round of combat, but instead of proceeding to the second round, my turn simply ends!! He isn't shuffled back in the deck, he just remains on the top of the location deck. What's going on here?

Sorry,im new here in this type of game.I purchased this game long time ago but havent finish it and haven't reach until late game. 1. Is it normal for someone to retrain their character often enough in the game to change the build ? like if i want to change grieving mother cipher to backlash beldam build or Kana as the ambassador's apprentice, there is no other way other than retrain your character so that you can change stats build.am i right ? and if its like that, what about our money (ingame),because it use a lot of money to retrain character and is it really important to use money for that..? 2. In party management,i can dismiss and recruit char.if i take kana first as my companion,i can dismiss him and take another party companion and i can dismiss maybe my new companion and recruit kana again whenever i want ?

When I go straight to the market place and type in Stick of Truth the game comes up but it does not allow me to install or download. Hi there, just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? It's only been happening since the most recent update, but essentially, everything that used to have the New, Load, Options menu and the little buttons down the bottom-right of the menu screen that opens when you open the game are just big pink blocks, as if the image for them is missing. Here's a link to an image I took (the printscreen on my keyboard is broken so sorry about the quality) Funny thing is, if I approximate where the buttons would be, I can still go into the Load, Options, etc. menus by clicking, but when I go in, the menu appears with all the text gone! Here's a link to an image of that (I think this is either the Load or Options menu). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So there are two quests that are still in my journal, I can't finish them even thought I have finished them. So they are both on Nar Shaddaa, one is Vogga the Hutt and the other is Power Shortage from Fassa, I have compleated all other quests on this station but these won't finish. Spoken to the Hutt and let him know goto was not a problem anymore and got him to agree to ship fule to Telos but the quest 'Vogga the Hutt' is still in my journal at the stage where it talks about overhearing the thugs and how to break in and all that. I am assuming this is why I can't complete the quest for Fassa, even though he agreed to give the family passage and hired the out of work caption. Anyone know what the problem is? I have zoned out and back in to the docks and also left on the Hawk and gone back and nothing changed. Help please.

Looking to make an Officer inspired Priest of Magran build. Mostly an RP for Normal or possibly Hard difficulty with companions from the game. Almost like Cadegund from the companions that were dropped before release. Think heavy plate, arquebus, sword and shield. Anyone got any tips for stats, talents, gear to look out for (and what quests to do to get that gear)? Would appreciate any tips and hints at all. I know I want to play Human (Meadow Folk), and that I want to be a Priest of Magran and Mercenary background. But other than that I am flexible. Thanks alot!

Hey guys, After an unfinished playthrough after release I started playing PoE again this year. I have reached what I presume to be the last encounter (Thaos and Woedicas Judge & Headsman). I haven't had any issues with the difficulty of fights up until now. After about 20 tries I can reliably make Thaos transfer his soul to the judge and beat both him and the headsman. That's when things start to turn ugly though. Thaos' domination (!) and pillar spells wreck my party pretty quickly. Party consists of: Main Character (Level 10 Ranger, Wolf companion, outfitted with unique blunderbuss or pistol, pretty helpful in the first stage) Edér (Level 10, has been a pretty good tank up until now, he survives the fight the longest) Pallegina (Level 10, regularly survives until the last stage as well) Durance (Level 10, often dies during the fight, if he doesnt he will be mostly out of spells because of all the healing he has to do, when he's not healing he's casting buffs, shield of the faithful, etc.) Aloth (Level 10, try to have him debuff Thaos and deal damage with wall of flame/fireballs/missiles) Kana (Level 10, I rely on his summons of the wyrm or loads of skeletons pretty heavily) Some random notes: - playing on normal difficulty - in the end stage I normally try to debuff Thaos with Arcane Dampener or that other Level 3 Wizard spell (if Aloth survives until then, that is) and whack at him with all I got. - I also try very hard to have my wolf companion survive as the accuracy penalty of bonded grief makes my Main pretty useless - none of the "control" spells seem to work on Thaos - I could probably level up some more by doing side quests, but don't really feel like it as I wanted to have some content left for a second playthrough - the main issue is the domination spell he casts, I could probably deal with the damaging spells Thanks a lot, Polarius

I'm at the cinematic where Mira is cornered by Hanharr under the Jekk Jekk Tar. The cinematic plays and as it goes to black to transition to the fight the game gets an error and stops working, causing a crash to desktop. I've seen a similar thread from before about this bug where the problem was caused by corrupt save files that were found using KSE. I have been trying to do this but I'm not skilled enough using KSE. If someone could use KSE to find the corruption in my save files I would be very grateful. Character Movement
shilo27 posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
One of my characters will stop moving and will not move regardless of what I do. It happens with different characters at different places. I have to reload a previous save and delete the current save. -
So now that I'm learning a bit more about PoE and the basics, I've started my third game now and bumped the difficulty up to hard. Realizing I never got much farther than the stronghold portion, I'm reserving future judgement on how difficult the game will get (though Normal seems too easy for what I'm looking for). My question, now, is (at the stage of game I'm playing) how detrimental will it be that I'm not using a perfect build for my character? For roleplay reasons, I haven't spec'ed my built for optimization entirely (16, 8, 15,14, 14, 13) as a rogue, but I'm planning on taking a full 6-man party. None of the characters will be re-trained because, for my strictly RP playthroughs, I feel that controlling the progression of other party-members so much is almost like power-gaming (though I have no issue doing this on subsequent playthroughs). Using an RP-friendly build, with RP-centric party-members, will Hard give me much trouble during the entire play's lifespan? Or is this game like IWD where you're almost expected to power-game to a certain degree?
