  1. I started playing deadfire 3 days ago and I picked some old patch builds for my MC and companions, and I realize that a lot of things dont match up, like nerfs or changes on skills tree, so I want to know good builds on the current patch, or a place where there's good current patch builds.

  3. Hi, i've just bought the game, and I really love it, but after the caravan level (A moment's respite) it keeps freezing and then crashes. How can I solve this issue? Edit: I tried to restart the game, but doesn't work and gives me a message of error. It also says to send a folder to the developers. crash.dmp error.log output_log.txt report.ini
  4. Hi there. Relatively new player here (played 20 hours last year at launch), looking to create a ranged mindstalker for a Classic playthrough using the Turn-Based mode. I was hoping to get some advice re: stat priority, weapons (2h vs DW), and key abilities to really make the multi-class shine. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I've played through this game 2 or 3 times the entire thing except maybe some DLC here and there and so far I like some builds and some not. I absolutely hate Ranger class I just find the pet or the ghost pet annoying. I prefer Shieldbearer/Unbroken tank. I love the Eothas/Troubadour Support/healer And I really like the Ancient/Wizard no subclass(maybe I should try Blood Mage?) for magic dps and aoe. Now there are 4 unused classes left Monk, Cipher, Barbarian and Rogue. I'd like to build 2 more multiclass builds with these 4 but I am a bit lost. I heard something about a Helwalker/Ascendant Dual wield mortar build? That would leave Rogue and Barbarian are there any good Marauder builds? I've been looking around on the forums but I haven't found more. Any replies would be helpful.
  6. Hi. Long time lurker and I appreciate the help this community gives and seems friendly. So I got the highly addictive case of restartitus and have been looking for a build (still haven't completed the story though putting quite a few hours in but still fairly new) playing on veteran I'm interested in the fate testarossa build but I would love to use dual guns. Then I came across the gypsy thunder build but when trying it got bored fairly quickly, which then gave me an idea. Would those 2 builds work together? Could I cause a thunder storm while shooting thunder at them? So this is where I am at also taking a few inspirations from sintee's gunfu monk. (awesome build but as my MC I don't want to be forced into decisions) Class: monk (helwalker) /druid (fury) Race:pale elf Stats: MIG: 18 CON: 10 DEX: 11 PER: 20 INT: 16 RES: 03 Adding berath blessing for +2 onto each Skills and abilities I'm currently not sure on those going to pick as I go. This is what I really need help with. Next problem is blunderbuss or pistol? If pistol I'm looking at going towards arcane blaster and thundercrack. If blunderbuss not a clue other than kitchen stove (maybe hand mortars) however have I made my build not as effective with blunder as my might is high? I'm thinking deltro cage might be the armour for that boast to lightening damage too. Don't know if the recovery time will be worth it though. Anyway thanks for reading and looking forward to your input. PS. Kind of imagining this char loosely based on storm from x-men
  7. I haven't played the game for months, but I came back to play the two latest DLC's. After resting while playing Seeker, Slayer, Survivor content, Pallegina gave me her farewell letter, left the party, and appeared in the middle of the sea on the global map. I'm hoping other players might know more about this than me. --- For some background/context: I beat the game a few months ago. I had offered an alliance to the Royal Deadfire Company, then backed out when they said their plans to assassinate the Onekaza - which causes a 'shootout' which kills a lot of people and deals a blow to the faction. I allied with the Huana after. Pallegina and Maia didn't have issues (or comments) on this at the time, except that Pallegina understood why I'd side with the Huana.
  8. Greetings, I've been trying to get this mod to work for a very long time but I can't for the life of me figure out why it wont work. What I'm trying to do is to give my Rogue +1 guile every time he kills an enemy. Setup: When the rogue reaches level 1 he's given a new passive ability called "Endless Loop" (see #1). The new passive ability is created using the GenericAbilityGameData tag (see #2). Scoring a kill triggers a status effect (see #3) that rewards 1 guile (see #4). Code: #1 Progression Table Entry for the New Ability: Rogue_Mod.gamedatabundle #2 Generic Ability Table: Rogue_Endless.gamedatabundle #3 Status Effect (Apply On Event) Table: Rogue_Endless_SE_ApplyOnEvent.gamedatabundle #4 Status Effect Table: Rogue_Endless_SE_AddGuile.gamedatabundle Anyone knows why this isn't working? Do I need to fulfill some kind of prerequisite (i.e. the mob has to die from a normal auto attack or similar) in order to get the +1 Guile?   9. Hello everyone, I could use some help on a build I'm putting together. As some of you know I've been testing out the combination of DPS and overall damage resistance by creating several Paladin/X combinations. Anyways I always test the same way. I spawn Ukaizo and see how I do. So far Arcane Knight is right behind my Devoted/Goldpact build in terms of DPS and her ability to tank any damage that come her way. Success wise she got Ukaizo to 50% facetanking everything he had. So I would like some advice on what I'm doing wrong here. I've written out everything I can think of for this build to work. Currently it requires consumables in order to deal out some nasty DPS. What I'm hoping is that I can cut the consumable use down to just the occasional nuke if I absolutely have to. I would like the melee DPS to be increased if possible, I'm also open to using ranged weapons if it makes the DPS increase. I would also like to increase the overall tankiness of the build. Lastly, I had this idea (which I"m certain I read in another post) that I could get heals through flames, is this a good idea? I did give it a go, and it seemed to be working fairly well. Can this healing be increased too?   10. Hello, I have tried to launch this game for the past few days and it won't open. I tried to verify the game files, redownload the game, reboot pc and steam many times, nothing helps. The game literally opens for like a millisecond and closes right after, that's it. Does anyone have an idea why? Any other steam games work just fine EDIT: nvm problem solved, Bitdefender was blocking it ♥ output_log.txt DxDiag.txt

Any time I try to play the game it will run for about 15 to 20 mininutes before the PC will lock up, can't alt tab, can't move the mouse just everything is frozen yet the CPU is still running and all I can do is hit the restart button, I've no idea what is causing the issue or how to fix it. But I do know it has to do with my pc since trying the game on another pc it works without crashing. My graphic card is a AMD Radeon R9 380 Series and my CPU is a AMD Fx-8320 Eight-core Processor (8CPU): ~3.GHz. DxDiag.txt

  13. I have a new iMac less than three months old. This game constantly has screen issues, half the screen is water half is land. Dialogue doesn't load properly on the screen, level up text doesn't load, voices cannot be heard. What is going on? I requested a refund and have been denied because I played for 5 hours. Half of that was spent trying to work around the bug issues, reloading the game. Waiting on the screen to load, hoping that it would work. I paid for the 59.99 package. This is insane. Ive attached a screenshot, I have more but they are more than 510kb.... I'm waiting on the second refund attempt and if that doesn't work I will post more until this is fixed.
  14. Hi all, new player and forum lurker. I really like using rods, and how the model allows for more targets, but I'm not sure how to best utilise this weapon, and I'm not sure I have the system mastery to make this weapon a viable build. I'd like help creating a character that will be effective from level 1, and that doesn't really require any specific equipment to shine. I've been toying around with odd builds that utilise the rod, and one thing I noticed is that when it was in the hands of a rogue, it appeared that he could hobble and blind with the model on. I was thinking may be chanter/rogue as I really like the summoning aspect of the chanter, and the auras. but I want to do something in combat. Is there anything you can teach me to make a rod user a viable build, or teach me the error of my ways. Thank you
  15. Does anyone know where to find them? The herbalist and the dark cupboard don't have them for me, and neither did the tavern on the zombie island. I'd have to lose about 4 days worth of gameplay to see if they are there in the newest patch. I'd like to get at least 4...
  16. I did the "A Glimpse Beyond" quest and now I'm stuck with the seemingly permanent "Burden of Memory" stat debuff. Has anyone encountered this and knows of a way to get rid of it? -2 might and resolve is a pretty hefty price to pay for something I did in the first game.

So I've started my first REAL (started a cipher and didn't enjoy it) character to play and I decided on a rogue since I've heard they do the highest single target damage and look appealing to me. Here's my build, any pointers or tips to improve it would be much appreciated: Race: Moon Godlike (I like the passive, the stats and they look cool) Attributes: MIG: 12 CON: 8 DEX: 18 PER: 18 INT: 12 RES: 10 I want to use dual sabres because they look cool and I like pirates. I've also heard they are very good on the rogue.
  18. I received a quest A Cordial Invitation at Arkemyr's manor, but when I come to the manor, he and his servants immediately attack me. I can't complete the quest and I don't want to kill arkemyr (and I can't because he is too powerful) what can I do?

  20. Hi, i played Pathfinder app with IOS system 1 or 2 years ago, i deleted it and now i redownload it, but i lost all the characters i bought. Now i can only play with Rogue and Cleric which are basic characters. I'm pretty sure i bought them , so please help here. (English isnt my main language sory about that but i really need help , thx)
  21. So, how do you guys feel about Loremasters (Chanter + Wizard)? The concept seems extremely cool from a fluff standpoint, but I can't discern if this mix actually translates into anything worthwhile in-game. The fact that it seems to be one of the least popular and discussed multiclasses doesn't inspire a lot confidence for me. Is it a case of two very different classes pulling the character in completely incompatible directions? Is there anything even close to a synergy for this particular combo? Is there any way to make it work? Please say yes.
  22. I'm unsure if this is the best place to post this, but as I was working on streaming a review copy I received, something shut down my game and completely froze my machine. I suspect its a setting issue or something that was causing the issue. I have a decent machine so it should be able to run it. Specs: i7-7700K GTX 1060 TI 16GB DDR4 RAM If you have any thoughts or advice on how to proceed, I'd greatly appreciate it. Something else I noticed was upon restart, the machine kept detecting and re-detecting peripherals. For the time being I uninstalled the game while I seek a solution. Regardless, looking forward to playing Deadfire!

Bought the game today, and installed. failed to even boot the game with screen dump of "oops, game crashed" Have tried checking integrity, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and all of the fixes i've found on official and non official sites/forums attached is the error file asked for. this forum wont let me attach a file either.... please help. not even sure who or how i can contact anyone about this, have wasted 8 hours trying to get this damn game working.
  24. Or rather, my game doesn't even want to open when I add in the SweetFX files.... Is my PC the problem? Or does this have a work around?? I'm pretty sure this mod worked fine about a year back, but now it just doesn't....maybe it isn't compatible with the the latest version? Anyway, If anyone knows how I can get it to work, that'd be great! Info; I have an intel I-5, 8gb ram. All I recall atm, but I'm pretty sure it the mod should work fine with the rest as well....it did before so, why not now? :/
  25. I'm trying to find if I have all the saved games that can be imported into Deadfire later (end saves)...I know where to check, but am unsure what the end saves are called/named. I know I saw it somewhere but now I can't find that forum anywhere...help? :/
