  1. I am doing the main quest Through Death's Gate and after I interacted with the soul energy in front of the soul machine in the ruins my journal does not update. The journal entry for Through Death's Gate has all of the entries grayed out. I read somewhere that the quest actually ends after you interact with the soul but my quest did not. I'm afraid I don't have a save close to that point either. I would attach my output log but it seems to be too big. I'm just looking for any information at this point, if my information is correct, if there is any workarounds. Thanks
  2. Here is the question. When I came into a castle, there was a weapon called Whisper of Yenwood. When I used my warrior to pick it up, I couldn't find it in my inventory. I tried to select other characters to do this but failed again. I guess same situation occurred several times during the game.
  3. I just noticed this and tested new characters. Humans and Orlans do not get their racial bonus to the Resolve stat. The bonus is present when distributing stats, but after character creation your character will have one less than shown on the stat distribution screen. The background bonus works, however. Anyone have a workaround?
  4. for some reason ever since i upgraded the entire map of Caed Nua has become extremely dark. (i cant use image extension so heres a link to the screenshot http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/37493561213721404/811D6F7637FDDBA3AD94083AD66865DD6B57ECB6/ ) Its extremely difficult to navigate, has anyone else experienced this yet.   5. I decided to defend the merchant Verzano, and after killing Danna party i only get exceptional negative reputation with them but the quest don't progress. I talk to Verzano and his text is as if i didn't even delivered the package yet :/
  6. I found some scrolls but cant use them. I placed them in Aloth quick item inventory, but I see in when hovering on a scroll: Requires 2 lore Aloth has Lore 8. image1 image2
  7. Its hard to explain but sometimes when i close journal then it has problems making my characteres move or sometimes when i write it actually fires the hotkey instead of the letter i write ... uhm ... so yeah something is wrong, buggy !

Onehand - Equip rapier in main hand - 10-15dmg, 47 acc // OK Dualwield - Equip rapier in main (10-15dmg, 35 acc) and stiletto in off (10-15, 30 acc) // OK Character Sheet BUG: OFFhand Single - Equip rapier on Offhand, no main hand weapon. Results in: Main - 10-15dmg blunt(fist), 42 acc Off - 10-15dmg pierce(rapier), 47 acc This would suggest that equiping weapon in offhand grants Singleweapon accuracy bonus to dualwield and that character would hit with both fist and offhand weapon. However when testing on wolf, character did not hit with fist and just used offhand weapon. Unfortunately I was not able to determine if character gets dualwield speed increase on single weapon with this method.   9. So I just finished the quest for The Man Who Waits. After you talk to the kid in the call, and he starts the fight with all the patients. I win, I go to Azo and tell him I'll expose him and he attacks me so I kill him as well. Problem is, when I go back up to the first floor, the entire place is hostile against me, causing me to kill the animancers and lose reputation with defiance bay, also the headmaster's statue wont talk to me anymore. Is this intentional or a bug? EDIT- ugh never mind, I saw there was another thread on this. Apperantly talking to Azo before killing all the golems triggers this for some reason? And my only save earlier to that is 2 hours ago I guess this thread can be closed, sorry for not checking first
  10. I just visited Ondra's Gift for the first time and seem to have encountered a bug with the water level. That or the spring tide of the century. Initially the water level seemed just a little bit to high - all the lower streets (the level the Salty Mask is on) were submersed in water. Just enough to wet the feet of the NPC standing around there, so I thought it might be intentional (even if a bit strange). I visited the Mask, left it again and it was still the same. After I visited one of the Abandoned Houses on the topmost part of the map, however, the water level increased by a few meters and now the entire district is flooded. Obviously that makes navigation and questing there pretty difficult. Guess I can be lucky that my party is apparently able to breath underwater - or just very good at holding their breath (Guybrush Threepwood level good).   11. I think this deserves it's own post instead of being buried on page 5 of the savegame issue thread. My post there: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72764-quick-saving-and-loading-times-increased-greatly-after-20-hours/?p=1615960 So in short the Chanter "Rime and Frost" chant creates traps when it is triggered and thoise traps get saved into mobileobjects.save file causing it to grow out of control. This in turn causes saves to take way longer than they should. Oddly the chant creating fire traps doesn't seem to be affected with this bug. Here are the statistics in a nutshell: $ du -h MobileObjects.save 44M MobileObjects.save $ strings MobileObjects.save | grep Rime_and | wc -l 3232 $ strings MobileObjects.save | grep Root | wc -l 3308 That is 97% of all store objects! Explanation for the commands: First one shows the size of the MobileObjects.save, secong extracts all strings (text fragments) from that binary file, selects all that match the "Rime_And" stringfragment and counts them, giving us the count of 3232 Rime and Frost traps stored, last one does the same for substring Root that seems the be the start of new saved object data, giving the total count of 3308 saved objects. Workaround would be to avoid the rime and frost chant like plague, a fix would be to write a script to strip the saved traps from saves and to prevent new ones from getting saved at all. Edit: Apparently my first grepping miss-counted the amount of Rime and Frost traps, as the string "Rime_and" appears twice per trap, so a better match is: $ strings MobileObjects.save | grep "Rime_and_Frost_Trap.prefab" | wc -l 1614 Which leaves 50% of objects being traps. But the rime and frost trap definitions seem to be some of the longest objects.
  12. I have the secrets of rime Talent on my druid but it doesn't appear to be working properly. The five extra could DR is working fine. The 20% extra cold damage isn't. Winters wind does base damage of 30-50 (which does feel a little high as a sidenote) and is 38-64 on my character which has 19 might. Since 30-50+27% is more or less 38-64 I am pretty sure that the extra 20% damage isnt being applied. I would be expecting more like 55-95 damage at that point. If it did work as advertised it would probably trivialise the content though. Perhaps the tooltip is just wrong and the extra damage isnt intended, which would be fine except for the fact I wouldn't have chosen it then. The secrets of rime effect doesnt show up in active effects on my character either. A lot of passives don't actually. I have tested the spell itself to see if the damage is being applied secretly and all I can confirm is that so far with limited testing I am getting the 38-64 bracket on hits. I crit for around 74. The druid cold spells do feel pretty powerful even without secrets of rime, so perhaps the talent should be removed or the cold spells nerfed or something.
  13. With a custom formation active, when I select more than 1 but less than my full party, the location I click on the map is not where they end up moving.   14. My character has base INT of 10. When I equip the following 2 items: helm with + 2 INT and armor with +1 INT I expect his INT to go up to 13. However this does not happen and only the helmet's bonus is applied. Is this a bug or by design?
  15. Hello, I have encountered two major bugs concerning the stronghold. 1. The game does not let me change my party: Yeah, that really says it all. I try to change my party via the party management screen within the stronghold, but the game does not register the changes. Or at least it does not register the recruitment of characters (I can dismiss characters but I won't be able to recruit them again). Screenshots: Party before "changing": Changing: After: 2. When I try to enter the second level of Brighthollow the level does not load: Again, pretty self-explanatory I think. As soon as I try to enter the second level of Brighthollow the game loads the level but after finishing I can only hear the sound/see the curser but the entire screen is black. I can even open the menu/pause and unpause the game (I can hear that it works) but the screen stays black. (I don't think screenshots would really help here) Additional Files you might need: DxDiag Savegame Output_log (companion bug) output_log (level transition bug) Have fun debugging those nullpointer exceptions. And pleeeeeeaaassseee fix them, I am kind of addicted to this game.
  16. Hi. Issue description: 1) Main character and tank both suffer "-20 Concentration (Suppressed)" from unknown source. 2) Main character is "Sickened" like forever? No expiration timer. 3) After save loading I can't exit location using _any_ exit (check log file, it's due to Unity error of some kind). Game just stops responding.   17. So after i got my cool stronghold and got my first attack i did a manual defend. Now heres the fun part: i have annihliated them but they keep respawning when i enter my great hall. I cant use the merchan or possibly some events in there because its always infested with wyrms and little kobold thingsi cant remember thier name its quite difficult. Also they keep removing 1-2 of my hirelings every time i enter the main hall. Is there some way to fix this by waiting long enough for a 2nd attack or just deal with endless supply of annoyance. Also my stronghold report keeps haveing 1 notification but whenever i press it nothing happens.

  19. Hey so I somehow lost two upgrades on my stronghold. The main keep and the barracks. Oddly enough I still have the defenders I purchased through the barracks and I can clearly see on the timeline where it states they were both built. Is there a way through console/save editing to get these back? Anyone else have experience with this bug? I'm not sure exactly when it occurred but I *noticed* it after I got my first prisoner.
  20. Description: As stated in the title, I believe when creating a playable character (or an NPC you can hire in an inn) choosing a Culture does not give you +1 to any stat. The first choice (Aedyr) is already highlighted and the game recognizes this as you having entered that portion of character creation with one less point in Resolve than you actually chose, and when you choose another culture than Aedyr it will deduct the point in Resolve it believes it gave to you and place it elsewhere, leaving you 1 Resolve point short. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: 1. Choose Hard difficulty & enter character creation. 2. Create any combination of gender/race/subrace/class. 3. Choose attributes as you'd like them and enter the Culture menu. 4. Note that Aedyr is selected and your Resolve did not increase from the previous screen. 4. Choose an option other than Aedyr and watch your Resolve drop by one. Important Files: I created a 1 min video of what I described above in case you cannot create a character immediately after having read this post but you don't need any of my save game files. Just start up the game and begin a brand new one.
  21. In the game settings, I selected the option to not have characters auto-attack when attacked or when their current target dies. It works when they are attacked - they stand there and do nothing, but when their current target dies they will charge willy-nilly right at the next closest enemy. Super annoying for trying to maintain defensive lines, keep a choke-point held, or stay out of AOE target areas. Please fix.
  22. Hi! I think i have a problem with my stronghold. I've purchased all the upgrades and nothing happend? (no steam achievement- I'm in act 2 btw) Stronghold is also not showing all possible events. Flag says 3 but i can use only 1 or 2.
  23. I'd opened the chest from the quest "A Voice from the Past" and . Now, I can't go ahead with the quest "The Man who waits" because I should have spoken with him firsts. I was at the step in which you need to ask to Animancer around the place. Considering that this quest is categorized between the main quests, it should be fixed asap. Is there any workaround to move to the next step of the quest via console?
  24. entering the salty inn the game does not exit the cut scene properly and it auto saved over my f5 quick save so now I can not proceed move or do anything in the game here is an image of the bug 33 hours gone down the drain please fix this bug I will keep this save maybe you can release a patch that will break me out of this.
  25. It was stuck at 9 turns, even after completing couple quests it didnt show any progression, but after completing another quest it actually finished, so im pretty sure just the progression didn't show.
