You can get the power through her personal dialog, just be nice to her (you gain some LS points and a lot of influence). There are ways however to increase your influence with her: 1) Nar Shaddaa Landing Pad. Where the exchange thugs harass an indebted man, you can get them to jump into the pit or give them some money. Your influence will increase. 2) Dantooine: Enclave Sublevel. If you have the Suulru Moisture vaparator quest activated, talk to Jorran about it. Visas comments: This man lies!. Kill him to gain influence. If you are playing LS, don't worry about the DS points here, you easily get them back on Dantooine. It shouldn't be to difficult, I had problems with it the first two times as well.

Yeah, how about the Freedon Nadd blasters while playing LS. Circlets of Saresh when playing DS etc. etc. etc.
-
You cannot get it from a Merchant. Try to be at least level 24 and maybe you will find one. Sometimes you find a Jedi Knight Robe, sometimes a Gray Jedi Robe and sometimes a Dark Jedi Knight Robe. Darth Sion will always drop a Dark Jedi Master robe. Too bad it is near the very end though. The rarest item is probably a Jedi Master robe. Why can't you pick them from the Jedi Masters after they are killed????!!!!

All prestige classes and starting Jedi classes have their good things. If you later on want to try a Sith Assasin or Jedi Watchman I could advise you to pick the Guardian or Consular as your starting class. The Guardian has this Force Jump while the Consular have these Improved Force Focus feats. Both are great to have.

a comparison of I and II after playing II first
hawk replied to bluerosy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I fully agree with you! I don't agree! Why? Because in TSL combat is very easy due to the fact that you can level up almost endlessly and therefore pick so many force powers that IMO you have to many of them. In the original you had at least a level cap of 20 and a maximum of 18 force powers. That's a big difference. B.T.W., the Unknown Worls / Star forge is a way better end game then the Ravager and Malachor V. If you want a difficult endgame, try the Star Forge / Yavin Space Station ambush and The Black Rakata battle solo! Now, that's a tough battle! Bullsjit! It's a Star wars game we are playing. Besides, was it to obvious to you that you played Revan. Maybe, you knew because you first played TSL and then the Original but lot's of us where actually highly surprised. Think about this. In the original, when you played it for the first time you had to wonder what this Star Forge actually was. You find out that you are Revan. What's that compared to a very predictable storyline: TSL: learning about the force, finding some Jedi Masters and finally (good points for this Obsidian) learning about what you actually are. Then sonfront some easy to beat Sith lords and a lot of Sith one week trainies who learned how to not hurt yourself with a lightsaber and strike one fully fledged Jedi. True, the force and the lessons you can get from Kreia and force sight from Visas. The fact that you can train most of your characters as a Jedi, either light or dark is absolutely a good thing, but the storyline itself in TSL is way too predictable for my taste. That maybe your opinion but you do get to know much more about all of them. I always want to replay the original game with all the extra options TSL has (Item creation / Jedi training lessons, Random item generator etc. etc. etc.). The characters overall where much much better in Kotor I Carth / Atton: Well, here I don't mind. If Atton's story is more than just his past and his Pazaak I would go for Atton. But as it is Carth has his trust problem, then his son and if you are female finally his love, I would go for Carth. Better and longer story for Bioware. Kreia / Jolee: Jolee, all the way. But this is I guess because I like Jolee a lot better. His stories are good and I think he would make a good Jedi Master. Juhani / Visas: If you could know a lot more about Visas, I would go for her but since you know much more about Juhani and the fact that her story is so much longer I go for Juhani Mandalore / Canderous: Allthough its the same person, Canderous had again a much bigger story then Mandalore. Influence is just so very bugged in TSL! That leaves: Bastila / Mission / Zaalbar versus Bao Dur / Mira / Handmaiden. Well, I don't think you can't really compare the people here but let's just say that only Brianna, Handmaidan had a good story and made a good second appearance in the Endgame she is the only one that can be compared to the sidequests of the original. That's your opinion again. Not mine. Atton's story again was far too short. Yeah right, I have allready done. Some strong points for TSL are absolutely the Random Item generator, the many new Force powers from which some of them cannot be pickup up from the level up menu. That's good! If only Breath Control would also work in the Royal Palace it is good. And, O yes I absolutely love Force Sight! The workbenches and Lab Stations where you can create / break down items. The Prestige Classes, the changing alignments of your NPC's. The Lightsaber styles / Force forms etc. O yes, TSL for gameplay is great. But the points you have described are just the points where TSL fails mostly against the original. Maybe you think of me as a TSL naysayer but I do have to say that both games have good points, but it's just the person behind the computer who desides wether he/she liked the original / TSL better. For me, the original comes out on top. -
But how many force fields are there actually?! Telos, Czerka base, yes. That's where you need Bao Dur. Nar Shaddaa Goto's Yacht, yes. Easy to turn them off with one off those computers. Onderon Sky ramp. Well that's one you stick a Lightsaber in. Can anyone else think of another place?! Uhhmm. would have been nice to have him in your party in Kotor I. It would be the quickest escape method on the leviathan.
-
Well, thanks. It is indeed better than nothing. Although I mostly not turn him into a Jedi Guardian, but that's just me.

Sure, a hologram of a DS bastila is shown with a IMO short and boring story about Revan.

I found some other strange alignments on Nar Shaddaa: There is an evil Duros in the entertainment cantina. You can't begin a conversation with him. All Ubese bounty hunters are evil, but Visquis strangely isn't. He's neutral. I guess it shows how useful this DS damage bonus really is. I'll post more when I see some other strange alignments -
to all who prefer kotor 1 story
hawk replied to darknesslord's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe the Kotor I story is a bit "more of the same", a guy running around the galaxy in search of Starmaps to finally save the republic or concer the galaxy again, but I disagree about the characters in Kotor I and some of the events happening in the game. Sure, in Kotor II more things actually happen like all the events taking place in Nar Shaddaa and Onderon / Dxun. It's just that you get to know the characters so much more in Kotor I then in II and the revelation was IMO much better then the one in II (finding out that you are Revan v.s. the beginning of the End game in II). Finally, the ending itself in I is far better done then the one in no. II. I mean, asking Kreia about your friends to what would happen to them is far worse then actually see them being awarded by the Republic. -
Just think about it: When your group in the Sith Tomb broke the ritual, the sith trooper in the palace lost control of the Drexl beast who just broke the force field. If the ritual wasn't broken, the Drexl would go on and kill Queen Talia. Since it is out of control, it went to kill Tobin (I don't exactly know what happens when you side with Vaklu, I haven't sided with him yet).

Here is my idea of Kotor II and III. First, Kotor II needs to be repaired, and with repaired I mean the removal of so many glitches bugs etc. etc. etc. till the game is bugfixed on the level that Kotor I is! An serious Improvement disk would be a fine idea to me as well. With improvements I mean that the storyline must be fixed. There are just to many things unexplained in here. As for Kotor III. I think it should be written that we play as the Exile one's more, this because the DS / LS story is not exactly so different. I mean, you could gain DS Mastery with the Exile while helping the Ithorians, Refugees, Queen Talia and the Khoonda Militia. On the other hand I am sure that you can gain LS Mastery while helping Czerka, the Exchange, the Mercenaries and General Vaklu. B.T.W., what do you think happens to the Exile when Kreia died in the end. With such a far going Force bond it must mean that the Exile atleast loose a lot of Connection to the force or at least something like that. Start of the Kotor III game: You pick your own character. Then choose Revans gender, class, face, alignment etc. I see the ending of Kotor III as the Exile will die to fulfill the role as the chosen one of this period. I mean, as long as the exile lives and kills his/her strenght will grow but will also spawn new Sith, more powerful than the one's they have seen before. Ending: Revan will return to Carth / Bastila and their friends.

Which did you find to be the rarest?
hawk replied to the khanster's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you reload the game when you stand in front of Samhan Dobo, the only crystals you cannot get are the Viridian and Bronze crystals. Bronze looks exactly the same as an Orange though. I never had any problem getting one yet. It's more of a problem to get a very good crystral like the Ankarres Sapphire, Ultima Pearl or the Kaiburr though. You really have to have a lot of luck and a very high level -
I think I will just play Kotor I one more time to really make up my mind. I do remember though that the first was much more difficult, which is good. I mean, in this game you can easily fight all the way on your own. Especially one's you have a lightsaber with the best upgrades: Hanharr: The Jeedai is a predator. Kavar: An old student is returning. I think the Sith won't know what hit them. Sith Soldiers: With an army off these beasts who would be able to stop us. No one off course, No one. "The Intruder is here". Beasts, attack! Visas comes in with her double bladed Lightsaber and the beasts are sliced into 100 pieces in 1 or 2 seconds. Yeah, all too easy.

At first I didn't quiet believe it (w00t) but I could. I won the Telos swoop race with 41:02! How I did it? Well, normally your bike is going into the air at the start and you will not be able to get it level again. To prevent this, hit the space bar when the red light is flashing. Now, you are on good level. Then I hit a lot of accelerators till I was in the highest gear then only evaded some mines and jumped one or two times and my time. Yes, it can be done! 41:02! No big money, only 500 credits. But hey, it's good that you actually can win it. Anybody else lucky enough to win this race yet?

Could be true. First I thought that he was in a healing trance since at the time of TPM we all played Jedi Knihgt Jedi Outcast and in that game you needed to meditate when your skill with healing wasn't high enough. Battle meditation though, well it didn't work and in the following battle Qui Con was killed while Obiwan only killed Maul through trickery. Mauls overconfidence was his weakness.

The differences: Female LS Revan: T3-M4 will display a hologram of Carth if you have the * skills On Korriban, you can gain some influence with Kreia in Front of the Tomb of Ajunta Pall and you will talk to Carth after you destroy the Ravager, doens't matter if you are LS or DS. Male LS Revan: T3-M4 will display a hologram of Bastila if you have the * skills. Korriban is the same as LS female Revan. Carth's conversation is different in the case that Bastila will speak to Carth after you finish your conversation. DS Revan: T3-M4 will display an evil Bastila if you have the * skills. There is no way to get more influence with Kreia on Korriban since Ajunta Pall is "destroyed by Revan. There will also be no conversation with Carth. On the moment I am playing a game telling that Revan was Female DS, I'll see if there are some differences here. * If you have an Intellingence of 15 or higher and some skill in Computer Use T3-M4 can play a hologram of either Bastila or Carth.

I also guess that if you have a high repair skill of 20 or more it also doesn't matter if you sell your items or break them down into components whichever you need.

Did you ever get Force Sight? You can get it from Visas. I found out that even with her personal dialogue you can get the power. Some LS Characters are: The Jedi Masters Vrook, Zez Kai Ell and Kavar, Administrator Adare, Berun Modrul and many others probably but I can think off them. DS Characters: Vogga the Hutt (not a reliable Fuel source I guess), Azkul, Atris (don't know the first time, but won't be surprised if she was neutral then) and many of the people at malachor. Sith soldiers however are all neutral. Strange: Why can't we select Force Sight from Visas herself. Thought: Obsidian forgot to do this. Please put this in the first patch. Isn't so difficult, is it? -
I guess most of us don't ever take GO-TO off the ship but instead never leveled him up and just take away his upgrades to break them down for components or sell them. For you Disciple haters, why don't you just play a male Exile or: Thought: Can you actually kill the Disciple by opening the door; and then overloading the computer?

I thought he had a reason for his dislike towards Revan but now that I saw that he is always this stubborn and arrogant towards all Jedi who don't listen to him I have no respect for this man. Why can't we use the force for fun on him, when he doesn't believe you have reestablished your connection to the force, toss him in a Whirlwind or something?! And then see some laughing faces from Zherron and Adare??!!

Good LS Jedi Robes and Sabers
hawk replied to Timber Loftis's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have never found the Kaiburr crystal but the only likely place to find a lot of crystals are on Dantooine in the sublevel of the enclave and off course the Crystal Cave. I myself always wait until I get at least level 24 before I go to Dantooine. A good trick to gain levels is to place 15 mines on top of each other in "Area 1", then go to "Area 2", and then go back to "Area 1" to disarm the Mines. If your demolition skill is not high enough have Atton / Bao Dur or Mira disarm them for you. Also make sure that Kreia is in your party since this will gain you more Xp per disarmed mine. Okay, I have never seen any lightsabers for sale at a merchant. Key places to find / get them from are: 1) Dark Jedi remains 2) Nar Shaddaa: Hussef / Lootra 3) Visas 4) Dantooine: Jorran (1300 credits) / Vrook 5) Dxun: Mandalore 6) Onderon: Dhagon Gent 7) Korriban: Vash There might be more, but this is what I remember now. It's also highly recommended to save before you speak to one of these persons, they do not give you a particular model by default and after you receive a saber it's more than likely you will receive a different one the next load. Never sell / break down a Lightsaber. It's not worth it. Crystals: Crystals I truly like to have are: Opila / Upari / Sapith / Ultima Pearl and besides my personal crystal I would place the Ankarres Saphire at the 1st place. Critical Hits are not to difficult to make in this game and the Ankarres Saphire can truly damage your opponents. Crystals are for sale at quiet a few merchants. Robes: Well, In the Korriban tomb if you are LS I would equip a Jedi Knight Robe / Dark Jedi Night Robe or Grey robe since these will regenarate your force points and are upgradable. The best robe I have found however is the Ossus Keeper robe since it gives so many bonusses and is upgradable. I have yet to find though which Overlays can be fitted on a Robe. As far as I know I equip them with Armorply plating Mark II. Gives you a nice Stealth and Reflex bonus. I couldn't find more useful Overlays. Underlays? Biorestorative Mark V Hope this is sufficient. -
I guess you can. It's very odd that you can also gain DS Mastery when you have helped the refugees, the militia and Queen Talia. Off course I didn't kill any off the Jedi Masters. Who says Dark Jedi are always completely evil?
-
About the same what happened to the Star Forge. The planet will be destroyed. Either by the Exile or by the Republic.

How about the scene in Freedon Nadd's tomb, with those Sith soldiers talking about no one could beat an army of beasts. Visas (always my party member) comes in and kills the beasts And a minute later, an unarmed Sith officer attacks your party. He has at least 600 vp. Hahaha, so funny to kill that one.
