  1. In the next game I would also very much prefer it if the developers pick your name. Yes, I really don't like it to be called Exile, Jedi, Offworlder or anything crap like that. In the first game at a certain point you were called Revan which is good.
  2. I am writing some more requests for Kotor III because I guess Obsidian will pay attention to this topic if this topic will be more then 10 pages. Okay, here goes. Planets: 1) One planet which would be a perfect fit in would be Zonama Sekot (I just started reading about the planet in a New Jedi Order book called Force Heretic: Remnant). It's some kind of a "living planet", I am not going to spoil more but those who have read the book will understand what I mean. 2) Other good planets: Coruscant, Yavin IV, Ilum, Katarr, Cathar, Onderon. Game addtions: 3) How about more optional Mini games: Speederbikes, Spaceflights? 4) Customizable Lightsaber hilts Force: In Kotor II I think a majority of powers are added that we haven't seen before and are really not worth our attention (Force Body for example) It would be a very welcome addition if there would be Force Pull and throw objects. I always wanted to throw some footlockers to my enemies. Okay, I am sure you could think of more great additions. I leave it up to you now and maybe / hopefully Obsidian will pay attention to this topic which I believe would be very important (If you do mind about how Kotor III will be made that is).
  3. From the games we know this: Jedi - LS: Healing powers / protective powers. They can shield against every Sith Force attack (Force Immunity). Can make him/herself stronger for a time (Master Valor / Force Enlightenment). Jedi only attack with Lightsaber (a Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense). Sith - DS: Use the force to destroy everything. Could also shield against force based attacks (Force Immunity). Needs to make him stronger by pulling the force / Vitality from other living beings (Force Drain / Drain Life). If opponent is a Jedi using Force Immunity, this trick doesn't work. Needs to resort to healing powers / Valor but needs quiet some effort to do this, and would exhaust all force power till he/she runs out. Therefore it comes down to the fact that a Jedi who attacks a sith of equal level of affinity to the force and the same combat skills with the Lightsaber, the Jedi would win because the Jedi doesn't need that much effort to heal him/herself or make him/herself stronger for a time. So yes, a Jedi is stronger then a Sith.
  4. And about the message in T3. Your intelligence must be 15 or higher and your computer use skill more than 12 I believe. If you set Revan: LS female: Carth will appear LS male: Bastila will appear DS: An evil Bastila will appear
  5. I guess most of us agree that the exchange should be wiped out. About Atris though, well if she would survive I think she should at the very least be stripped of her rank and become Jedi apprentice again. And her master (if LS) should be Revan. Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Atris is not worth the title of Jedi Master with her arrogance.
  6. In the game always kill or give the order to kill: 1) Atris. Yeah, I hate that bitch and it doesn't give you any DS points so the choice is made. 2) Vaklu. To get some more influence with Mandalore and to pick up his remains 3) Saquesh. Here is also some usually good remains and no DS points here to. I only kill him the second time to get the Lightsaber from Hussef. 4) Slusk. Good remains. The exchange should disappear! What I think is, is it good that you kill these people. Is it good for the universe / Onderon / the refugee's / Telos if you do this? Maybe you have some suggestions as well about who deserves to die and the ones you kill as a Lightsider. What are your opinions?
  7. Non random items: Personal Crystal Ossus Keeper robe Random items: Circlet of Saresh Ankarras Sapphyre
  8. My favorite list would be: 1) Visas. Before I bought the game I read all stories about he characters and I thought. This is a good character and she lived up to all expectations. 2) Atton / Mira. Well build characters with good comments / good backgrounds. 3) T3-M4. I wasn't looking forward to have him again but it was kinda surprising that now, he had a lot more to say and had much more functions. Meditation, Bastila / Carth movie, solo missions etc. It's the only character that Obsidian actually improved from Kotor I. All the rest where to short backstories, no sidequests which is a bad job. 4) Mandalore. It's good to have this true warrior with me again. I hope the Mandalorians play a major part of the story in Kotor III. Some other characters I liked in the game were: Captain Riiken, a good, loyal well build character which I would have liked to be in my party in stead of GO-TO for example. Yes, I dislike GO-TO as well. Kavar. A good Jedi Guardian master as you would like them to be. Zez Kai Ell. Please replace this character with Disciple. I mean, the first time I talked to him, I thought he was at least the most human of all the Jedi Masters. Reminded me a bit of Jolee Bindo as he too left the Jedi. At least Zez Kai Ell said I had done everything right from the beginning. I truly disliked the Jedi Council on Coruscant. What would they have done with Yuthura ban, Kel Algwinn, Juhani. Dak Vesser, Thalya May if they came back to the them after having joined the Sith? I dislike Kreia, Atris, Gerevick (really creepy character, kill him painfully). Since my break is over I hereby conclude my post.
  9. I prefer to use a Standard + a short lightsaber. Reasons for these are: 1) You pretty often get critical hits doing well over 100 damage for each class. With a Guardian / Weaponsmaster I even got to 250 damage sometimes. Crystals are Ankarres Sapphire's or Nextor coupled with Opila / Personal Crystal. 2) You bring out so much damage that you don't need to worry about your defense most of the time. 3) You have the opportunity to use 4 crystals in your lightsabers which is a big advantage. My configurations depends on the class I am playing. For a Weaponsmaster I obviously take the most damaging + MC in my sabers. For a Jedi Master I invest in crystals which will increase my Wisdom or Constitution, Kaiburr is the crystal I will go after. For colors, well it depends on the moment, as well as the combination of robes / face / class etc. I never used a Yellow (banana) colored saber. And I never take a Cyan crystal in it again. I wish there was a golden colored saber. yeah, yeah nobody is ever satisfied, it's just my opinion.
  10. Now that Obsidian made there first patch it started to make me angry that they didn't fix this quest. Just as they also didn't fix the Escaped Criminal Quest either. I am starting to fall to the Dark side....... I guess we should make a bug list and report it to obsidian since they don't fix them themselves.
  11. Some glitches are very good yes. I know another one. Next time you start a new game, don't skip the prologue right then. Continue picking up everything on the Ebon Hawk, the outside as well. Then go back to the ****pit to skip the prologue. All your equipment then stays in your inventory. When you wake up on Peragus you have a lot in your possession; lots of repair parts, a few computer spikes, a field survival pistol, some medpacs etc. Now that's good to start with in stead of nothing.
  12. Well done... I got this in all my games and I always break down or sell every armor I find. The only guy that is getting an armor is Bao Dur (I mostly don't turn him Jedi). Have you ever found: Crystals: Ankarres Sapphire Kaiburr Ultima Pearl Solari Headgear: Circlet of Saresh Force Focusing Visor Belts: Jal Shey Mentor Belt Tech. Specialist Belt Gloves: Jal Shey Meditation Gloves Kubaz Scoundrel Gloves Implants: Mental Boost D-Package These are some of the items really worth finding! Armors... Bah.... With an Ebon Hawk full of Jedi's, you don't need them.
  13. Yes, that's another one of those drawbacks of getting to level 50. Is there actually anyone here who has a good reason for going all the way up to level 50? The only time I went up to this level I didn't find any other equipment then what I found at let's say level 35. Brwsing through all these force powers..... When you start as a consular you might have about 60 force powers to use (including the one's you learn from Kreia and Force Sight from Visas. Not funny to work with........................
  14. The only time that I went to level 50 with my Sentinel / Weaponsmaster I found that I had way to many force powers and that I needed to browse through to many force powers to pick the one I wanted I don't know for certain who will teach you Juyo. The last time I played TSL I was a Guardian / Weaponsmaster. Kavar is always my last master and each time he tought me the Juyo form but I was a little surprised to see that Zez Kai Ell teaching me the Ataru from (my first master) and Vrook the Shien form. In my other games this was opposite. One other tip. I think the most damaging Force power is Force Lightning / Storm and when I play LS (almost always) I also pick these Force powers since when you are above let's say 20 which is pretty early, you have such a high amout of Force Points that you can easily work with this power, trust me. You are not running out of it. Especially one's you have the Ossus Keeper Robe / Circlet of Saresh / Jal Shey Mentor Belt / Personal Crystal (Fully upgraded at level 33). Good luck.
  15. I am surprised to see how many people do Dantooine first. Tell me, can you get really good crystals if you do Dantooine first. With good one's I mean: Ankarres Sapphire Ultima Pearl Kaiburr Opila Upari ? I always do Nar Shaddaa first since I don't want Atton to run around as a scoundrel for too long and I pick up most off my party members here. My Planet orders: Nar Shaddaa - Onderon - Dantooine - Onderon - Korriban Nar Shaddaa - Dantooine - Onderon - Korriban - Onderon
  16. I always find it on Darth Sions remains. Sorry to say that that's at the very end but I always find it there.
  17. I think I agree with most of you in Planets choice / Characters etc. What I wouldn't like to see is that you have a complete new set of characters. I also wouldn't mind playing as the Exile again. I mean, it's kind of strange that your main character is always the most powerful Jedi of that time and it would be kind of stupid if you are the 3rd again most powerful Sith or Jedi. But I would like to post something about the technical way of developing Kotor III: 1) I believe more equipment wouldn't work. Reason for this is that we got so many allready and since TSL is so easy one's you build any Mark IV or better equipment at a workbench it would be a waste of the developers time. 2) A new graphics engine would be all right but not a requirement. 3) The storyline and the characters are IMO the most important part of the game. In the original Kotor, I believe this was done better then in TSL. And yes, I am of the opinion that TSL is not that much better then the original, maybe worse but they both have there good points. We will see how well TSL turns out to be after some patches. 4) Please don't rush this game. I am patient enough to wait for this game till it's well and finished. If it comes out at the end of 2006 that would be fine be me. Conclusion: Bring the best parts of the Original Kotor and TSL together and they have made a very good game. Best Parts of Kotor 1: Characters and their backgrounds, sidequests etc. Storyline twists Best Parts of TSL: The improvements of the Workbench, Influence, the almost unlimitedness of levels. Don't spend to much time with improvents of the game please! That is my request. * While playing the original Kotor I just found a Jedi Master who cannot be killed in this game and there is also no mentioning of him in TSL so I think about why don't we put him in Kotor III: JEDI MASTER BOLOOK! You know, the one who approaches you for the murder case on Dantooine.
  18. I guess the only one's I didn't try yet are Guardian / Jedi Master - Sith Lord and Consular / Weapon master - Marauder.
  19. Judging by the votes so far, Obsidian did something wrong about Battle's as well. I think it's because you can Level up till Level 50 and that Level is IMO a Level I don't want to have, because every time you want to use a particular Force Power you have to browse through so many of them and the fact that almost no one is using a Force power against you and when they do it's just a small bit of damage. Yeah well, by the time you are in Trayus Academy you have 450-680 VP. No one will be able to kill you. Especially when you have Master Heal (LS) or Force Crush (DS). I hope that Kotor III will not come out before the end of 2006. If it comes out before that it means it is unfinished, like this version.
  20. The Cantina after the meeting with Kavar? Can someone explain that part a bit? I thought that after the meeting you fight with some guards, exit the cantina and proceed to mow down some more guards until you get to the merchant square. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I meant that Vaklu's soldiers usually drop good items. Therefore, it is good to save here.
  21. I guess, this version has much more large battle's which cannot be compared to the battle's in Kotor I which had far fewer enemies who where however mostly a lot tougher. My personal favorite would be the Entrance to the Sith Tomb with maybe a tie with the Royal Palace. They give me a good Star Wars battle feeling like the one's we see in the Return of the Jedi and the Phantom Menace. More battle's taking place at the same time.
  22. Green colored. That's a new one.
  23. Umm, think off something. Freedon Nadd's lightsaber is nothing. Just another weapon which you better sell for a lot of money or break it down into components. I like the Ossus Keeper robe which is always in place in the Royal Palace. There are also area's where you want to save your game before entering in order to pick up items which are really hard to get. Think about the Crystal Cave on Dantooine. I always revisit the place until I get the Ankarres Sapphire and other really good crystals like the Ultima Pearl, The Kaiburr or the Upari. Other places are: Freedon Nadds tomb, The Mandalorian Weapon Cache, The Onderon Cantina just after you had your meeting with Kavar. The Shyrack Cave before you go into the Tomb. Those are small areas where most likely are very good items. And don't forget to save and reload with Merchants like Samhan Dobo, The Irritating salvager on Dantooine (can't remember her name right now) and Undar. They can sell good items. Finally, save a game before someone will give you a lightsaber. Reloading will bring you the one you want. Be it a Short, Double Bladed or a Standard Lightsaber.
  24. Mandalore is Canderous. Kreia will tell you at the end after you beat her. As for the Influence. I hope there is a way to actually tell you about his travels with Revan. I never came further than him talking about Mandalores helmet. He then talks about that he travelled with Revan for a time but says it's not the time to talk about that right now.
  25. Don't forget that sleeps with vibroblades Darth Sion was Trask Ulgo. First sliced to bits by Darth Bandon and then blown to pieces on the Endar Spire and then trough the force put back together by Bandon, Revan and Bastila...
