  1. topic Good to hear your points Vagrant. Well, I guess I could discuss some more about Vandar and I just thought about a topic I created a few months ago. There are 64% of the people who thinks he is dead, but only 15,63% believed he died on the Star Forge if you set Revan as DS See the topic. Revan would be somewhat "expensive", true. If Revan is DS, then he/she has the mask. If not, I have something in my mind about his/her face. We do need two voice actors for Revan's voice. I estimate Revan would have to say about 40 lines totally. The Exile isn't dead either but he/she has much less lines and can be done by possibly the same actors. I can see your points in the way I put the Exile by default as a LS male. But I also thought that when the exile left (2 years before the events of my game) the influence will somewhat disappear, furthermore Kreia will tell you whatever you did that Bao Durs path is "unknown to me", meaning that when the hatred could be calmed within him and that he could turn to the Jedi. It might be that I am trying to hard to bring back some characters from Kotor I and II but I guess at that point, Jediphiles story is truely going to fail. How many characters did he bring back? Revan Exile Bastila Jolee Mandalore Mission Zaalbar Hanharr Visas Atton Carth? Well, I guess it's not okay to tell who's story is best. Lets just hope that the Developers are reading this and develop some of our idea's in a possible game. The Holocrons store information about the Sith Throne on Ziost. They also contain some pieces of a map. When you got all holocrons, you have learned about the location of the map and the dangers of the throne. Sounds like a bit Kotor I'sh and it's looks a lot like your objects to find. I hope that's okay.
  2. Thank you for your input ones again Jediphile. Revan went to find the Star Maps, and I guess I didn't explain enough the first time I told about Trisha and her spy mission. The Jedi didn't just do this only to recruit new Jedi but also because they knew about you, and *No spoilers now* you are truely a VIP. Trisha being a Jedi tried to see things her way which succeeded, if it didn't, She would have done it the hard way. Supposedly when Revan entered the academy and caused "a lot of trouble". Well, okay I admit that it was really obvious that Obsidians idea was to get rid of Vandar. And as my personal revenge on the developer I am doing my best to wind myself through their mistakes for bringing an unfinished game on the market or was that Lucasarts fault. Nah, just kidding folks. Truely, I believe that if they are doing there best so much to get rid of Master Vandar that to me it becomes even obvious that he survived. That Atris would have known, you could be right yes. But Vandar wasn't on the council on Coruscant so there are no records of him, or there are but T3-M4 didn't look for it when he was connected. I am developing ideeeaaassss, yes! Okay, maybe the Chandrila jedi training quest is too similar to Kotor I's Jedi Training. I am off the opinion though that crystal caves are important to Kotor games. I think I am maybe to much focused on making the character a true Jedi again with the master I liked most in Kotor I. And you could be right that being the game of the year, there should be a lot of people around still playing Kotor I. Okay, Master Vandar has really paid some attention now hasn't he. Idea's how to add Master Vandar into my storyline: 1) We will take off to another planet and after we have solved the primary planet quest we pick him up on Chandrila... Our NPC must be level 15 or 16 by then so Vandar should be at the same level. 2) Vandar cut himself off from the force or at least severed his connection to it, this to stay hidden from Nihilus. 3) Vrook cut him off from the force because Vandar disagreed with him about the Exile . The Exile was a natural leader (Vandar). No, he/she is a mediocre Jedi and other students dislike him/her intensely (Vrook)! The number 3 idea is off course a joke. Can anyone think about a good reason or is no 1 okay. If I think about it, you could very well be level 11 or 12 by the end of Chandrila. We are starting from level 4 (or could be even more on Dagobah), this considering that you are 18 years old and have had training since you where a young Jedi student, maybe 4 years old or so. You also received quiet a bit of training in the Sith academy. We know that the Sith are working a lot quicker then the Jedi.
  3. One's again thank you for your input. Yes, after I read my last post I was also just a bit shocked to see my writing. I have edited the post to make it more reasonable. Sorry about this, (I guess Jediphile is reading this as well). Yes off course, I understand. In my story they take a great risk as well. But they do have a reason which will be explained in another part of my story.. I would love to know what you think I am up to..... Thinking about this, I guess if he would like to remain undetected from Sith Assasins and most important off all Nihilus he could have cut of his connection to the force till Nihilus was defeated. Yes, I know I am referring to much Kotor II but the thought of it, it could be very logical. See the above answer. Okay, I respect your opinion. Just a question, what do you think about it that you set foot on Dantooine and Korriban in both games? There yah go, LeVeRRe
  4. Thanks for your input Jediphile, here are my answers. About the dagobah question. Yes, we don't know and that is the reason that they could build a Sith academy there for Kotor III. Nobody ever build a story about what happened 2000 years before ANH so we can't find out now. The send Revan quest. I am referring to what happened in Kotor I. Revan and Bastila found the starmap on Dantooine the Jedi Council gave Revan the order to find the Star Forge It is a great risk, true. But there are reasons for this which will be explained later. The Luke Skywalker quest. Believe me when I say it is of at least paramount importance to them that you return to the Jedi. I guess you don't want to hear to many spoilers, I do wonder what you think I am up to. Ziost quest You may be right about that. And yes, I know your plot doesn't end on Ziost but it will be near the end or the end that all our storylines will take place on Ziost. Master Vandar quest Yes well, you can set Revan as a DSider and you will see Vrook telling you that Vandar died on Katarr (in the Jedi Enclave) so he didn't die on the Star forge. I guess he could be still alive. What he was doing in Kotor II. Hiding, like Bastila, Zez Kai Ell and to a lesser extent Kavar and Vrook. Possibly he cut of his connection to the force to stay hidden from Nihilus. The Jedi Training quest Well, by the time that we play Kotor III, the original Kotor will not be on anyone's harddrive any more. It might be allright to develop another story but I guess Crystal caves should appear in each game, don't you think. Shaela quest If you look closely you see that the bad guys are making lots of mistakes. They send Calo Nord after a Jedi and when that fails, Darth Bandon and also some minor Dark Jedi on Kashyyyk and Tatooine. What about weak Sith assasins who the Exile just hack into pieces. In Vagrant's Storyline they sent Canderous against a Jedi. They think a force sensitive bounty hunter could do the job. Well, I thought about coming up with an idea to get an extra party member and bring back the Ebon Hawk to you. Vandar as party member But nobody have ever seen him in combat. Bastila was level 4 after we rescue her on Taris and she was with the strike team to capture Revan. T3-M4 will start as a level 3 droid in Kotor II while we leveled him up to 20 in Kotor I. And the list goes on. How much combat has Carth, Canderous, Atton, Mira and so on seen to begin at a level below 10 in our games? You could say that he cut of his connection to the force to bring him back, maybe to much Kotor II ish, I guess but also logical. Shaela - Mira connection Yes, I developed Shaela as a replacement for Mira since Mira could very well have died on Kotor II and if she didn't, well then Kreia tells you she would die on an Unknown planet or on Ord Mantell and I would like her back. I believe Vagrant also made Darth Aumen as some sort of replacement for Yuthura Ban. New Idea's are off course quiet all right but I think we have got a lot of idea's and I picked up one. Maybe John Dodonna is also to much like Carth. Trisha is a very new concept. allthough there are better I admit. Okay, I do say that there are some NPC's that join you later that are really new. Why do we go to these places. Yes, sorry I didn't explain very well. You go there to find Naga Sadows holocrons except for Coruscant which is merely to solve some quests and discuss plans for the future, with the right people of course. Thanks for your responses again Jediphile. To JedimasterNalik. That is what he is also going to show you! We need a "Yoda" Species as an NPC!!! At least, I think that you want Vandar to show you the Lightsaber forms, right?!
  5. Well Calax I certainly hope they wouldn't do that. Here is part two of my story I do have a few words before I continue with the next chapter: A true Sith academy could well be on Dagobah. Remember that Revan is a person who is able to move in a spaceship. If Revan discovered there would be a true Sith academy on Dagobah, he would no doubt leave the unknown regions and go to this place. Dagobah is one of the best hiding places in the galaxy, you know. I have thought about using the hidden Jedi academy on Telos to go next but I decided against this from a game playing point of view because I wouldn
  6. Another reply to Vagrant's story: "And everything here just clicks into place". Good job! A change in my storyline. It will take place a year or 2 after the events of Kotor II. I discovered some problems if it takes place at the end of Kotor II.
  7. Jediphile / Leverre, thanks for your input. About Dagobah, well I was examining the planets surrounding Dagobah and thought that none will make an appearance in the Kotor games. Sure I would place this academy on another world, Rattatak would be another idea. Might explain where their species lust for war came from. But I would like Dagobah since: People would like to see some worlds they know about and I considered it a bit of a cliffhanger. Dagobah is strong in the Dark side of the force which will grap the interest of the Sith. A planet that wouldn't fit in my storyline would be a planet on the "eastern" side of the galaxy (near Ziost) since then, it should have been a known planet as well. About the spy character. Yes, there are risks. How big where the risks to: 1) Send Revan in charge of finding the starmaps to find the star forge 2) Send Luke Skywalker, an "untrained Jedi" after Darth Vader and the Emperor You will find out later why I choose the spy thing since the main character is very important to return to the jedi. My main character isn't "just another very powerful Jedi". Which will also explain later why a very powerful Sith Lord (Revan) actually fought you to a standstill and then left. Yeah, just wait. Do you allready have an idea where this is going? Hmm, the last question, does anyone ever consider that Ziost should have been a known planet at that time, being so close to Korriban? We all seem to want to end on this planet with Naga Sadows throne.
  8. I appreciate your response Jediphile. I will tell you what I had in mind about this. About the Sith academy on Dagobah. There are reasons why your character starts at a Sith academy and, as I said you ended up there. Later in the story more will become clear about your character. I choose Dagobah as the location since it is a pretty remote system far in the Outer Rim, It could be replaced with another planet but not Korriban. The Korriban academy is empty on Kotor II. And quiet possibly, the "unknown regions" could have been much closer to the core then they were 4000 years later. If you look at the Star map on www.nav-computer.com you will notice that Dagobah is an Outer Rim world. About the Jedi entering as in invasion force. No way. We are talking about Revan himself here, on his own, not the Jedi. Revan enters the academy but the Sith obviously recognizing Revan will try to kill him on site. If Revan would be Light side he will not kill a passive meditating Sith. Which isn't a thing which is happening. Also he will not kill you, which will say something. The other way around, a Jedi academy being attacked by the Sith? Sure, it will happen. Just wait. That's all I am going to say right now. I am curious as to how many Jedi you were thinking about in my story, the Jedi spy is something different. If there are almost no jedi left why wouldn't you send a spy into a Sith academy and try to turn Sith to the LS which is exactly what Trisha was trying to do with your character. a line from Bastila: "What greater weapon is there to turn an enemy to your cause, to use there own knowledge against them". I hope this answers your points. O, now I understand. You tought about this line of Master Arath telling that the Jedi have entered the academy, well he is just overwhelmed by Revan's assault and thinks about a Jedi invasion force here. Haha, I made it a lot more dramatic then I thought, you also meet no Jedi other then Revan. Yeah, sure.
  9. Okay so now someone would like a pizza baker as an NPC. Sorry, I guess Kotor isn't a humor game just yet. Good idea though. Now that I have read two storyline propasals I have also developed a storyline. I would appreciate your input. Your main character is this time again a human male/female just like in Kotor II, new to this character is that he/she has a fixed name or 2 or 3 name options at most, about 18 years old and was a Young jedi who was captured on Dantooine during Darth Malak's attack. Because of his/her strong affinity with the force he/she was sent to a Sith Academy on Dagobah. You can level up your character to level 4 on the start (this to make it reasonable consdiering you spend some time with the jedi and in the Sith academy). The story will start 2 years after the end of Kotor II. Like the other stories I will also divide the stories in a lot of parts. The planets you will visit are: Dagobah Chandrila Coruscant Myrkr Falleen Sleheyron Khar Delba Khar Shian Ziost Influence: It would this time be possible to gain LS / DS points in personal dialog, but you will have the option to gain influence with answering truthfully or to lie, you will be able to get LS or DS points (whatever your preference is). Gaining influence with HK-47 and LS points at the same time is now possible. On the planets themselves you do get influence + LS/DS points (LS / DS acts). Other than that, if a character falls to the DS or becomes a LSider his/her appearance and way of thinking chances. ------------------- Part 1: Dagobah ------------------- This is where you start, on the Sith academy on Dagobah. After you wake up, you speak with your best friend in the academy, Trisha Vale. Quick Bio: ------------- Trisha Vale ------------- Female Human Jedi Guardian 60% Light Side Double phased Lightsaber (a new one for Kotor III, this lightsaber can be extended which makes it more difficult to handle but the advantages in lightsaber / melee combat are great) Trisha is a Jedi Spy, very good at infiltration, combat, if she is in your party a force persuade will most likely always succeed and as a Jedi Guardian with the special lightsaber almost unbeatable. Tougher then Juhani. For the fans: there is male romance option with this character. You talk to her about some history, the time you had spend in the Jedi Academy who denied you too see your family, denied you to love etc. Then the conversation goes about Revan who defeated Malak and the Star Forge and (you get the hint) you can tell what Revan is (male / female, LS/DS). Even after what the Sith had done for you, spend time with your family, gave you a lot of power in a short time, you have doubts about there ways. This is why Trisha is your best friend since she is the only person in the academy who does actually listen and understands you and never betrayed you. After your early conversation you pick up your Dark Padawan Robes and clip your (unable to upgrade) Red lightsaber to your belt. Shortly after, all alarms in the Sith academy are ringing. Master Arath, the head of the academy is broadcasting a message that the Jedi have entered the academy and are fighting all the students. He calls to all loyal Sith to draw lightsabers and fight. Instinct tells you to fight and you see no one other than Revan on the screen killing Master Arath. Trisha says,
  10. Well, it wouldn't work in the first and second Kotor because: Kotor 1: The revelation Kotor 2: The "Dark Jedi" shadow in the tomb on Korriban IMO Kotor III should have lot's of faces, or play as a different species if this is possible. I am tired of the fact that you can give your character any name you wish though. Why? People always call you something like: Jedi, offworlder, visitor, human etc.
  11. If it is so difficult maybe we could assume Visas will make it in a possible Kotor III?! Bastila appeared in Kotor II but could be killed in Kotor I.
  12. The Goto thing in your storyline; Maybe it could end with the HK-50 series quest. Every one here wanted to visit that "droid planet" and end all HK-50 assasin droids. Can it be integrated into your storyline on Utapau Vagrant?
  13. Well, I guess that if nobody knows this planet should be included into a Kotor III, when they decide to make it because you can come up with any cityscape, landscape etc. they see fit. Maybe the planet isn't descripted in any book .
  14. This ending is quiet a nice idea. Jediphiles idea was to do the final end on Coruscant and the skies above the planet. Now, Vagrants idea is to first run an attack on Coruscant and then go to your final planet with the throne. Time for me to make up something different. Start thinking. Hmm, (not criticism) - Kreia said at her final words that it wasn't about the republic anymore.
  15. Sorry, Sorry, I deleted all the topic's. It was just that I was getting Errors when I tried to post the new topic. Stupid Obsidian Server telling me that things go wrong when they go right. My apologies Darth Vader: uses force choke on me and says: "Apology accepted Hawk"
  16. A simple question for those who have read a book that I didn't. What does the planet Falleen looks like before it is "cleaned" by Darth Vader? If you don't know, I have searched on the Internet for hours but only found the same information all the time. Ok, maybe some of you will also know what the planet Ziost and Khar Shian might look like. Your info is highly appreciated.
  17. Well, I guess customizable lightsaber hilts is a better idea for this kind of thing. We have the Mantle of the force and the Heart of the guardian in Kotor I giving bonuses. For Kotor II: The sabers are allready very powerful.
  18. I am developing a storyline at the moment, pretty soon I will go head to head against Jediphile and Vagrant. Accoridng to Darth Windu's idea's the following will be all right in my vision of Kotor III: 1: No problem, I guess we all agree that this should be fixed 2: Off course, Coruscant is one of the planets in my list 3: No, sorry about this. The developers won't agree with you. 4: Yes, off course Revan will play a Major role in Kotor III. Also in my storyline 5: Yes, the true Sith Empire will emerge in my story. There will also be a new True Sith Lord we haven't seen / read about before. 6: Maybe Nihilus will return in my Kotor III storyline. 7: No restrictions like you imagine. I guess I'll put in a double phased lightsaber, a saber which can be extended but you need to fight 2 handed to balance the weapon, the two weapon fighting feat is a bit of a must here. 8: I think the penalties in both Kotors are well enough. Luke used something like "Force wound" on the gammorean guards in Jabba's palace. Jedi do not use DS powers because they think it will bring them to the DS. 9: IMO, this goes without saying. 10: Yes, and the hilts should be customizable. 11: Blasters? They should be very complex to build and I think it's one of the flaws in Kotor II. I do agree with you that you should be able to build Vibroblades, upgrades, Mines, grenades and Lightsabers. 12: Well, I think there should only be some Jedi left, and I don't think this can be done in any story. 13: You are right about that. I plan to be able to train one of the NPC's and make it more complete.
  19. To Jediphile: I guess that's your opinion. Some people want a revelation, some others don't. You are right that it looks too much like Kotor I, I agree with you on that part but on the other hand being just another Jedi who is too strong in the force is IMO not a good thing. Don't take it as a complaint against your main character just yet though. I haven't read all your stories and indeed a lot of people wish they could play as a different race, and that's an advantage where your character comes in. To Vagrant: I was waiting for this moment to reveal what your main character is and I suspected it to be something like that. IMO, a good idea in a game which is not a follow up story on Kotor I and II. Why I say that is this: A conversation between Darth Malak and a Sith Master on the Star Forge: Sith Master: Lord Malak, I have news about the Jedi. Malak: Ah, the Jedi. Did the droids pass their test, did they destroy our enemies. Sith Master: No Lord Malak, the droids could not stop them. Darth Malak: Strange, I did not know there were any among the order who could survive the assault. Darth Malak probably knew that the Exile was no longer in the Jedi Order and the only other very powerful Jedi would be Revan. You mentioned that "Abil" abandoned the Jedi after Darth Malak was defeated. I think he would have been very powerful if he had true Sith blood. Short note about Kamino as well as Tatooine. There have to happen more than just the things in your story. They look to much like Korriban on Kotor II. Not enough to do. If I am wrong or you do have an explanation in your following parts feel free to correct me and tell me to wait. I am learning to obtain the patience of a Jedi Knight
  20. A Question to Jediphile. Could you make some links to the stories you have previously written, not this compiled version. What I like in your story is: 1) The roles of Revan and the Exile in this game 2) The choice of Planets we visit 3) The returning characters from Kotor I and II 4) The True Sith are in the game What I don't really like: 1) You start as a padawan on Coruscant. Well, then I tend to think that you are just another Jedi who is off course again very strong in the force. Maybe I am wrong though and you have a more detailed explanation of this character somewhere else. 2) I somehow think that this game is too short. Okay there are 7 planets and I have the feeling that you don't like the concept of finding 4 or more pieces to find "something" which a lot of us would see as the Sith Throne on Ziost, the stop on the Khar worlds are also something that most people would like to see. I guess that more planets would be all right. 3) The LS ending. Saving a lot of Young Jedi isn't my idea of a good ending. 4) It also looks to me that it will take some time before anything actually happens. Visas falling unconscious because Nihilus attacks, is this the first thing that actually happens? Then, your first combat would be with the Sith assasins on Alderaan?
  21. Most of the things you mention are good idea's but I am afraid that it is not such a good idea to set Revan as a LS female and the Exile as a LS Male by default. A lot of people would prefer that you can make a choice what Revan and the Exile were. Where I don't agree with you is the Random Loot Generator. It is a source of frustation for most of us. O no, again a short lightsaber (reload), No no Double bladed please (reload), after 10 times finally you get a standard lightsaber you would like to have. Same goes for the areas you reload each time because you get that useless stuff. And I wonder: where are your customizable Lightsaber hilts and Jedi Robes with hoods where everyone is talking about.
  22. Nah, he is not good to me dead. Why don't we freeze him in carbonite and demand Lucasarts / Obsidian or Bioware to make Kotor III?
  23. The problem with that is that we all have different ideas for storylines that we would like to see. I do try to make a point of commenting when I see one, since nobody could be bothered to comment on mine, and I didn't much like that. But Vagrant and I are scarcely the only ones to suggest plots for KotOR3. Trouble is that if people here aren't interested in reading story proposals, how can we expect Obsidian or whomever to read them? So after you've tried a couple of times, you just stop, and then it's all down to people suggesting hooded robes and black-colored lightsabers or whatever... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about posting it one every forum you might imagine, PM the moderators of this forum to send it through to Obsidian / Bioware / Lucasarts or whoever would like to develop Kotor III. Maybe contact the media (PC Zone / PC format / PC Gamer etc.).
  24. There is no way to e-mail lucasarts. Look at the page, no e-mailbuttons / adresses at all. Yeah, why don't we send letters to them. Or maybe someone could find their Fax number?! For one thing, I cannot understand why this company would drop a project that is selling like hotcakes. If the designers at Lucasarts are to lazy to develop a good story, then it will be our job to do that for them.
  25. Well, I guess if some of us could help Lucasarts / Obsidian a bit by developing a good storyline and point out a few game additions we would like to see it would save them a lot of time to develop Kotor III. The storyline Vagrant is building is at the very least a good way to begin with. I am on the moment developing a storyline + game additions I would like to see as well, I will post my idea soon enough. We are a much cheaper source then some game story developers, so let's keep some spirit.
