The last games I played DS, I only train Atton because I like to do the Hssiss glitch. Okay, this is confusing. After Telos, I go to Nar Shaddaa, I battle Visas. Then go to the docks, kill Lootra, Dance for Vogga. That's 2 lightsabers. Then I go off to Korriban, go Sith Academy. Another Lsaber from Lonna Vash. Time to pick a prestige class. Go to the Tomb, get a lightsaber after Revan. Force Storm up to Level 41. Exit the Tomb and continue the rest of the game with superb items, but no lightsabers until Freedon Nadds tomb and (how stupid) the Endgame where you can't play with anyone else.

When playing DS the Hssiss glitch is undoubtedly the best. I switch difficulty to easy to make sure you don't die. Then click on the jedi for 20 times (if I can make that) and Force Storm 40 Hssiss's. Now that will grant you enormous xp. When I am at level 42 I stop. Then its time to play the rest of the planets and find GOOD equipment. By the way, is anyone with a PC version able to get the Dart Malak Armor, Arca Jeth 's robe, Jolee's Robe, Thon's Robe etc. from Fazaa (From the one's who don't know, some people have found out that you can get a lot of special robes after fulfilling a quest on Nar Shaddaa docks (Fazaa's freighters) after several reloads. I did last time acquire a Ossus Keeper robe, which is off course very helpful but I was wondering. Anyone.

We do remember the time about Kotor II rumours, right. All of these rumours popped up, there was a shop who posted "Kotor II: The Sith Lords" on preorder, even before Lucasarts / Obsidian confirmed it. I say, more of these rumours come up and we will be playing Kotor III, hopefully not before end next year because the developers do need their time to finish the game completely!

Why the hell I must be wimpy to get LSP?
hawk replied to Handel's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe it's also good to discuss what strategy is better in the end. What would Revan have done, would he/she take up the Exile's role in Kotor II. According to Kreia, the 2nd Sith war that is to come in probably Kotor III (Yes, I do believe it will be made. Possibly they have allready started working on it, who knows) will be a war between the true Sith empire and the Jedi. Because the jedi order we know will not go to war, it is important that the Jedi, either dark or light will (notice the difference between Dark Jedi and Sith) have to fight against the Sith. The true Sith that we haven't seen yet. Now, if we need to build a strong resistance on Telos, Onderon, Dxun, and Dantooine we need to choose: Telos: Czerka, ment to be the DS path allthough you could even gain more DS points by working for the Ithorians. Yes, it's true. Czerka will not spent lots of Republic credits and can defend itself pretty well. Probably it's better for Telos to have Czerka defend the surface and Citadel station. If there is a war to come, it will seriously cripple a Sith strike force before taken over. Czerka will probably not be able to defend itself against these true sith forever but better them for the moment than the Ithorians which will make Telos very vulnerable. Onderon: I would say Vaklu is the better choice. Canderous advice in this is good for he knows war. And the people of Onderon clearly wishes Vaklu to make there world independent. Dantooine: Here, I think Zherron / Adare and the Militia are the better choice. After the mercenaries are all wiped out, together with ruthless Azkul it can be build up by the republic again as Kreia tells you in the end. And defeating the mercenaries and there larger army makes the Militia a lot stronger. Those mercenaries are a bunch of scum with whom you don't want to work. They only care about getting paid. O and Nar Shaddaa: Just wipe out those Exchange thugs, Serroccos as well. You don't want to work with all those criminals. That makes you maybe a bit neutral. Siding with Czerka and Vaklu, but also with the refugees and the Militia. Do note however that there are a lot of ways to get LS points while siding with DS parties and vice versa. About the exile him/herself. I think the DS path is better, note how many bonusses you can achieve while taking the Dark path: Hanharr: More strenght and possibly more wisdom / constitution bonusses HK-47: More wisdom and constitution bonusses I believe. Kreia: you will achieve some bonusses but you will also get these while LS. While with LS, you only achieve some bonusses from Kreia, T3-M4 and willsave from atton. Nothing to achieve from Mira, Bao Dur some bonusses from Handmaiden / Disciple but I think they are far less then the DS path. Most powerful build IMO: Consular / Sith Marauder. Fury and all the extra feats, lots of damage with a fully upgraded personal crystal due to massive criticals. Maybe someone have found a website with all the bonusses you get from who. -

In response to the topic, you can get LS points for saying: [intimidate]Stop pressing the refugees or i'll be forced to kill you or something to Saquesh. Yes, you can kill someone for LS points. About Vrook later on: IMO it would have been great if you could kill Vrook and let Zez Kai Ell and Kavar survive, and they wouldn't turn against you. But no, they are not the best Jedi and just say they know everything and they try to kill you. That said, I am not the best fan of Kavar since if he were a true Jedi he should have tried to persuade you to team up with him to kill Vaklu (if you sided with Vaklu that is). In stead, he only wanted to do battle with you which he should have known he could not win. -
You are not serious, are you? And if you are, I am glad that you will not design this game.
-
Well, If everything is actually allready set in EU, which it is, there is no way to prevent anything that has happened in that time. There is just not enough flexibility. What can you do on a LS path to prevent Anakin Skywalker from going DS? Nothing. Can you kill Luke Skywalker? No. Can you prevent the destruction of the second Death Star? No. Some games did come around the problem but then there was always one outcome, mostly a victory for the Rebels. And they where not RPG's. Not my idea of accomplishing a good RPG I think.
-
Everyone their favorite crystals I guess. True, I forgot the Solari. It is a great crystal but it occured to me that achieving a critical hit with the Juyo form / Ankarres Sapphire / Master Critical Strike is quiet easy. Watch the damage numbers on the screen especially when you are a Sith Marauder with a fully upgraded Personal Crystal. They will go in the 200's!
-
For another RPG to be succesful, it has to be written after the New Jedi Order books or before TPM. Now, who would you like more as your party members: After: Tahiri Veila Kyp Durron Jag Fel Jacen Solo Jaina Solo Corran Horn Mara Jade - Skywalker To name a few Jedi, and some of the moviecharacters maybe Or Before: Yoda Plo Koon Bail Organa Mace Windu Qui Con Jinn Jar Jar Binks.. I hear some people say NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...... Chewbacca HK-47 hahahahaha We will see.. But lets hope LA actually does complete the Kotor series with a great new 3rd installment.
-
Lightsabers and their crystals are always a top priority in Kotor and you can never have enough upgrades. There are however some crystals that really stand out in Kotor II: The Ankarres Sapphire The Kaiburr The (good old) Opila Your personal crystal I also think that most DS players are fortunate with the Qixoni crystal and all other upgrades available for DSiders in this game. It's also quiet nice to actually read through the crystals descriptions, where they come from. You would like to go there in Kotor III to collect some of those crystals wouldn't you.
-
That would be a lot of work, not to mention a very difficult to near impossible storyline. I say we stick to the original, play the game LS or DS. Don't make it to difficult for the developers to accomplish.

Bastilla Skywalker will go crazy with this news.

May I suggest in Kotor III: 1) A very good selection of party members: A) a hot looking very tough female Jedi guardian. B) a Jedi Consular, one of the Vandar / Yoda / Yaddle species, I am not against using Vandar himself either. There is just not enough evidence he died. C) a Rodian Scoundrel D) HK-47 and T3-M4, they just have to be included just like the Ebon Hawk E) How about a Dark Jedi not allied with the Sith but instead a guy who truly hates the Sith (maybe a Cathar from Telos, he could fill in the Jedi Sentinel role) That's 6 party members, there are 3 or 4 places left, a Soldier, a Scout, possibly a Tech specialist / anything new. Maybe someone can come up with some more people / species here. 2) A good selection of Planets. How about at least including: Coruscant Some sith planets, IMO: Khar Shian and Khar Delba, Ziost, Almania. Possibly Byss Falleen Ilum Alderaan Myrkr That's enough 3) Player character: This is crucial since it will have a huge inpact on the story. For some reason, you always tend to play the most powerful Jedi in the universe. I would not chance this and I think it would be very bad if you are not somehow related to the Exile or better: Revan. Now, I think it would be quiet all right to play as a much younger character this time, let's say a 16 year old boy / girl. It could be Revan's child. Not a bad idea IMO. Or we could play as some wound in the force created by the exile. And otherwise, play as a normal everyday powerful Jedi. But then you must be able to choose a new species. Play as a Twilek, Cathar, Wookie, Yoda species, Sullustan, Zabrak etc. etc. 4) Revan and the exile: Revan should be alive and you must be able to pick Gender / alignment and face, if you are Revan's son, this is a bit easier since Revan would just look like you, only older. As for the Exile: he/she I think should have fallen DS no matter what happened in Kotor II, the Jedi see him / her as a danger and it would make perfect sense if he / she fell. I don't mind if the exile would be one of the enemies you have to face. 5) The most important part: The storyline. No matter how crude the gameplay, the storyline is the most important part of any RPG. Gameplay additions we have seen in Kotor II are good, but I can do very well without all these. Bring us back the perfect storyline of Kotor I, and please give the developers the time they need to complete the game this time. Revan was the best created character I have ever seen in Star Wars. We know you can do it again.

These suggestions are IMO the best suggestions on this page.

About the idea's of Darth Vossk. You want a game to be very flexible, correct. I don't like this idea since it will hamper the storyline in this game. The Kotor games we so far have seen are like movies with lot's of choices how you wish this movie to be. Because they are Star Wars games with Jedi / Sith (the knights of the old republic) being the main characters it will come down to a choice whether you follow the light or the dark path. And I believe it's better to keep the "game system" the way it is rather then make it a game which is very flexible. Don't forget both games where and are one of best RPG's ever made. About Dranoels suggestions. All very well except for Suggestion 5. Okay, you can maybe make a fast paced shooter with vehicles in a mini game but it shouldn't be the main system to work with. I have read a review stating that Kotor is all about walking, talking and fighting. Not driving / flying and blasting things to pieces.

Revan & the Exile's gender/alignment
hawk replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
My opinion: Revan: LS Male. Exile: DS Female. -
What if I don't come back to save Chodo from mercs
hawk replied to Darth Kavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
About Opo Chano: When you work for the Ithorians you can only get his credentials (in a LS or DS way). He will stay on Telos when you don't kill him. When you work for Czerka, Luxa will ask you to collect the Exchange debt. You can tell him to escape the station (no LS or DS points here). Then you will meet him on Nar Shaddaa in the docks. And, when you work for the Ithorians and threaten him he will give you his credentials (you gain DS points). When you have assembled HK-47, come back to Telos and kill him. (Influence gained: HK-47). -
I do not think it a good idea to make more then 2 endings / more starting points etc. This has been argued quiet often here, but the problem is that there is some kind of "game plan" in the kotor series. You also think about lot's of different party members? It will be quiet some work for the developers to build a lot of storylines. Just look at Kotor II, there are quiet a lot of party members and optional ones. Obsidian didn't get a lot of time and we know how this went. When I think about it, there are a lot more problems with different starting points / party members etc. Sure, we could make the game a lot bigger and I think that should involve a lot more planets. I am fortunate that someone else comes up with the idea to play as Revan's son / daughter. If you pick a male character and you choose Revan to be your father it is quiet easy to build Revan's face. The developers will need two voice actors for Revan, but I figure this isn't a big problem. Don't forget to mention, we would like to have customizable lightsaber hilts and a golden crystal for our lightsabers.
-
The best lightsaber styles to kill Vrook are Makashi, Juyo or Niman. Don't bother with the other. Someone also forgot to mention Hyper Adrenal Strenght and Stamina.
-
Good that we have some people who played Freelancer as well.

No. Not true. You can choose the option: What do you know about my intentions and then, I don't know what you are talking about. (No LS points and no DS points either). You can: A) Have LS Mastery and kill all the Jedi Masters and work with the evil guys (Czerka, Vaklu and the Mercenaries). I think you can't help the exchange, I tried but it didn't work well. And no lightsabers. B) Have DS Mastery and not kill any of the Jedi Masters and work with the good guys (Ithorians, Talia and the Militia). Option A) You are a LS Sith Option B) You are some kind of DS Jedi

Things you wish your character would say

After the Exile leaves the Dormitories on peragus: Exile: (DS line to Kreia) After we fly away from this place I will drop you on a nice little asteroid where you spend the rest of your short life! After the Exile / Atton / Kreia and T3-M4 get on the Ebon Hawk and flee Peragus: Kreia: Then we die here, choose now. Answer options: A) Shoot the asteroids B) No, someone might be alive in the facility C) First we will drop the old witch on a small little asteroid, like I promised and then we jump to hyperspace. -
wookie jedi and the lesson of strength
hawk replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hanharr as Jedi? Well, he can be as intelligent as Einstein with some glitch and as powerful as the strongest man in the world. And now some people now even want him to be a Jedi? Surely with all force powers as well. People will want to play as him. -
HK-47 and LS Mastery? How to do this? I guess you have to: A) First conversation choose something like: I killed the Mandalorian's on purpose and I would do it again. B) When he askes you a question after a conversation respond with: The next one who doesn't let me go I'll kill him. C) Kill Kumus on Dxun (2 times Influence Gained) (If Hanharr is in your party don't do this) Then kill Tarn (Dantooine). D) Force Persuade the Onderon Soldier on Iziz, the one who want to know about your business on Iziz. E) Ponlar 2nd time: Everyone Join Ponlar, the queens reign must end. F) Possibly killing another innocent or in Iziz cantina after Kavar's meeting select: Yes, do it HK. Is F necessary? I am sure you can gain LS Mastery again. GO-TO and LS Mastery: A) Personal dialog that you could kill everyone on a planet to gain stability B) Tell GO-TO that he is a valuable asset. C) Give a Starport Visa to Sakirie D) Tell Akkere that you turn him in. Hanharr and LS Mastery: A) all personal dialog B) Kill Kumus Because Hanharr will not be in your party if you are pretty far down DS there is one LS points glitch in the Secret Tomb on Korriban where you can gain infinite LS points when you encounter Kreia and your friends and tell Kreia that she is worthy of redemption. You could go from DS Mastery to LS Mastery without cheating. I think, anyone ever did this?
-
Bad thing about Kavar is that (when you work with Vaklu) he doesn't give you the opportunity to join him and kill Vaklu, as a sort of redemption. It would be more realistic wouldn't it? Remember that Revan tried to persuade Malak to return to the LS.
