  1. First, play the exile. In the Unknown regions are no food stores so Exile gets hungry. Revan finds his food by eating Kathhounds, True Sith flesh etc. Exile finds Revan but is very hungry, manage to say: Ffffffooooooooodddddddddd!. Revan kills Exile and becomes the new player character. Would take about Ten years to finish the game. Uhmm, 99999999999 Gb of Hard disk space. A Pentium 1000 processor with 99999999999 GHz speed etc. etc. etc. for a 3000 year galactic war. Well, it was your first post, and forgive me, hopefully your dumbest post.
  2. Reprogramming droids is quiet a good idea. We all know about the pacifist package for HK-47, more of these packages is a good idea. I do however encourage that we do not want more droids in our party then HK-47 and T3-M4. I have never seen anyone who liked Goto, he was quiet useless and not interesting. As for the party members, I think the Kotor I party members were much more diverse then in Kotor II. We should have it back.
  3. sure, why not <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, that's right. When you look at especially TPM and AOTC, you can see Palpatine saying very kind things. Would that give him LS points? Because he was kind to Padme and Anakin? No, off course not. He only said that so he could turn Anakin to the DS and to declare war against the Federation, while the Jedi are cought in between. It's all part of his evil plan. No LS points gained.
  4. Do you take that for granted? Kreia is quiet a bit of a liar. True, the True Sith might be far more advanced then the Sith we fought in Kotor I and II, but I doubt a True Sith Lord would defeat Revan as easily as Revan a Dark Jedi apprentice on the Star Forge or Anakin a Jedi student on Coruscant for example. Revan have seen the True Sith during the Mandalorian Wars, and you could say many things about him but stupid is not one of them.
  5. I have a feeling that since we got to page 60, Obsidian doens't care any longer what we are writing. Shall we go playing and trying to insult each other and Obsidian (all an act) to see if they actually care?
  6. And the Exchange as well.... Boy, how I hate them.
  7. Well, I can see that the Yuuzhan Vong might be some allies of the True Sith. But being the True Sith themselves? No. The Yuuzhan Vong would probably not go into negotiations with the Mandalorians to attack the Republic. They would attack it themselves. Other than that, I like the idea of Grant Dempsey.
  8. If Revan gathered some forces it would make sense that he gathered the forces he trusts, like his former companions. Okay, maybe I get a little bit ahead of things but I guess it's not the thing people are going to look for. Find Revan and the Exile with an army of soldiers.
  9. Don't worry about the people on this board Spook. If you read through most of this topic, you will notice that it's all one line answers. Okay, let me see. I bet Revan and the Exile will be captured at the start, right. Well, I think it is quiet a simple start but that's okay. There is a problem however when you talk about both Revan and the Exile LS, and also about Revan's and the Exile's "Forces". You do know that Revan went alone to the unknown regions and the Exile will probably do the same, right?
  10. Your plans (with a Jedi) please.....
  11. Not exactly in Kotor I. Try it with: The Rancor in the sewers Sherruk The Albino Kath Hound The krayt dragon The monster firaxa shark The two Terentataks in Naga Sadows tomb The energy pillars in Naga Sadows tomb The Droids on the Star Forge Darth Malak Those are not exactly Force Wave slash / slash / slash.
  12. Will be a tough one either, allthough nobody did actually do this on purpose, it is possible that you will have to kill Dustil in Kotor I, when you fail to give him evidence that the Sith are Evil, say anything wrong. You probably will be. Judge Hades is going to complain..........
  13. Would be quiet difficult to have Carth in your party. I mean, you won't survive a lightsaber slash if Revan was a DS Female, it's a possibility you know. Other almost impossible party members are: Juhani Jolee Mission Zaalbar Visas Marr Mira Hanharr Handmaiden
  14. Yes, that could be done. I am also quiet a big fan of one fixed name or 2 or 3, that would eliminate a lot of problems concerning calling you Jedi. But there are other problems. Many say it is a huge plus in Kotor II that you could train NPC's to become Jedi. But they also say that it isn't done well. Which is true. And there lies one more problem, if you have the option to be a non force sensitive, you of course cannot be the Jedi Master to train others which in terms of time means that the developer needs to make a lot of chances which will result in a similar Jedi training we had in Kotor II. It's like they have to do much for the non force sensitive while they would skip time for the "optional" better Jedi training. It's like, spend your time in one game addition or in another. I, and I am sure a lot of people with me would see Jedi Training Improved better then the option of a playable non-force sensitive. Okay, to be honest, a better Jedi training is one option but it is the idea of putting time and energy into one project or another. Maybe we could make a list what people like to improve (pick only one): A) Better Jedi Training B) A non Force Sensitive NPC C) A more detailed graphics engine D) A better and more completed storyline E) Something else which involves quiet a bit of time , please let us know The Neutral Ending is a good idea which shouldn't involve a lot of time I think That's how a Jedi goes undercover. Ever read the novel "I, Jedi" with Corran Horn as the main character. Here is where Judge Hades is going to complain about not wanting to meta game. Yes, I remember that on the Bioware boards, before Kotor II could be bought someone said that you should ask T3 what happened in the galaxy, and what Revan did, which in my opinion would be great. Better than asking Atton or another person. Beep Bop Bop- Tee dee ree - vreet. Translation: Revan was a man who saved the republic. Sure, good idea. Doesn't take a lot of time I think, so it should be included. Implementing Revan and the Exile would be quiet tough. They are "the chosen ones" which shouldn't be killed and like you said, it doesn't feel right to play as them since they are allready so powerful. The not so difficult part would be to select faces / genders and alignments for them. It's also the voice actors. At least Revan did have two voice actors in Kotor I: "Mine laid and ready" "Whoever steps on this is getting a shock" "Now that must have hurt" I think they should get the same voice actors for Revan in Kotor III (Big job for them) Also two for the exile. That's going to cost a lot of money, but we know we will be dissappointed if the developer decides to kill the 2 or let you play as the Exile and let Revan be dead. Kotor III without Revan and (to a somewhat lesser extent IMO) the Exile wouldn't make the fans happy.
  15. Oh, yes. We didn't have any of those in KotOR 2 where you can only play as a Jedi. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are smart enough to understand that I meant that I would fear that it would become even worse. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Upon what evidence do you base that theory? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I lied. I guessed he would be smart enough. And if he is not Well, then we know for sure that he should have a name like dumbo or have an avatar stating his IQ or something. But I like your response
  16. Oh, yes. We didn't have any of those in KotOR 2 where you can only play as a Jedi. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are smart enough to understand that I meant that I would fear that it would become even worse.
  17. That is a real problem, isn't it. You think you would have a good idea, you post a storyline proposal and if the developers had the idea of doing that, they don't do it because you have just posted their idea.
  18. The Developers Corner on this forum. Other than that, I don't really know.
  19. Well, I can make up that you wish to have the option to not metagame. That's clear. I think you are proposing that the developers should take a lot more time to be able to do this because they need Lot's and lot's more lines for the voice actors, since they cannot refer to you as "Jedi" if you play as a non force sensitive. To get around a bit is that you have a fixed name. Then, a lot of people don't have to call you "Jedi" any longer. From experience we know that Lucasarts doesn't want to give the developers a lot more time. And the developers are probably not keen on putting in the option since it will cost them a lot more money (Voiceactors are very expensive). And if they do think it would be a good option to include a non force sensitive as a player character, we could imagine the results. A broken storyline, a lot of bugs, broken quests, bug here, glitch there etc. etc. etc. Frankly, I wouldn't see it as a true problem if Kotor III had an option to play as a non force sensitive (Not that I ever would play it). But since we know the developers are not going to spend a lot of money and Lucasarts are not going to give them the time I guess it would be better to have a good solid storyline with only a "Jedi" as our main character so we are not getting a bug infested paradise. Yes, I know your answer.... You think that Kotor III in that case shouldn't be made. Am I right?
  20. Okay, I'll ask some questions about your storyline again Architect. And yes, I do think it could work so far. In particular Bastila's role is pretty good. I guess you would just need to hear that. The planet ????? is probably Ziost. Or possibly Khar Delba and / or it's moon Khar Shian. You said your own character would be killed, then you become the Exile to finally become Revan. Well, that's a lot of transformations and I never thought about that. The only problems I see with this is are: A) A problem with the D20 system. Probably, Revan and the Exile are preselected in terms of Attributes / Class / Feats and Force Powers, or could you think of a way to select these from level 1? B) Some people are going to be somewhat disappointed that they play the game for the first time, set Revan as LS or DS, and regardless of what you did as your main character in the game end up becoming the Dark Lord of the Sith or the Saviour of the galaxy (as Revan). Or is there a decision to be made before the end (Like Darth Vader became a LS Anakin again just before he died in Return of the Jedi). The proposed planets are good as well. I guess Sulust and Alderaan are one's that could be replaced by different one's right? What do you think of these: A Homeworld: Sullust or Falleen, Ithor, Mon Calamari, Duro, Iridonia? How are the sullastans important? A planet people want to see: Alderaan. Well, how about Ilum or Chandrila. And to conclude. I think it could work. Yes. Go on, it is appreciated.
  21. And you are still not answering to any question. Note that I made the word just in bold. If you want a game without being a jedi, why don't you try to mod the games? Or have someone trying to mod the game for you. You could also try playing Kotor I and use KSE to get you to level 20 in Kotor I? Ever tried that? Happy new year......
  22. O yeah, right. I forgot option C. Not making a Kotor III unless we could play as a non jedi. I think you are very self centered in this Judge Hades. How about to be able to play only as a jedi so we are certain that you are not going to buy it! Saves you a lot of credits!
  23. That doesn't answer my response, but okay, I'll answer to your response again. The only thing I can think of that a Jedi class doesn't have is Targeting, A scout will get the Targeting feat. O, yes, that's right. And then, you say you want so many other classes as well. O, that's just great.. O yeah, that is going to take way, way to much time to build a game. Yes, we need to roleplay as a soldier, as a scout, as a scoundrel, a Fringer (whatever it is), Noble, Tech Specialist, In a moment we must be able to be a droid as well. What did I forget, O yes, fighter pilot, bounty hunter, doctor, merchant, librarian, fireman etc. etc. etc. And then, you say, It's Lucasarts what do you expect. Well, then I would say that because it is Lucasarts, the developer should spend their time wisely so we can get a well done game, without many bugs, plotholes and so on. So, what would you propose. A) Being able to play a non jedi class, which in roleplaying terms takes a lot of time and costs a lot of extra money (voice actors need to say lot's, lot's more), which would almost certainly result in a game with many, many bugs, plotholes, etc. etc. etc. OR B) Being able to play "Only" as a Jedi with a well completed storyline and only a few bugs which could be fixed at a later date? Well, since we are on the forum everyone can read this and give their opinions. Sorry, cannot create a poll on this forum because for some reason the mods don't like Kotor III polls. Being able to select another species, sure, that's fine, If it doesn't take to much of the developers time to build it, in terms of role playing that is.
  24. You don't role play much do you. If you did the answer would be obvious. If you do role play a lot then you are a pretty piss poor role player. I shouldn't have to artificially cripple my character like that. Also those choices would be completely out of character which defeats the purpose of role playing. I don't metagame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just what I expected. You want to play a scoundrel / scout or Soldier so people are not calling you a Jedi and you don't get any lessons on how to use the force and how to wield a lightsaber. Yeah, well in that case you want the devs to take a lot more time, invest a lot more money because the voice actors need to do a lot more lines just because you are not a Jedi. Well for one thing, I do like it if our Kotor III character has a fixed name. People, especially your party members should call you by your name. But on the other hand, a chance to not play as a Jedi so it will take a lot more time / money to fulfill the game is not going to work. You know how many bugs and plotholes there were in Kotor II. Kotor III needs a very good storyline, not a bug ridden game with more options to play different characters. The investment they need to make is much, much to high.
  25. So basically you could also fight alongside Sith troopers as a Jedi. Well, that is one thing I would certainly like to see in Kotor III. I guess Bastila becomes one of your party members and will probably be your master, right? Now, we could play Kotor I to see how she reacts when you follow the Dark path as Revan. But you could now I figure follow the Light path while she is a Sith, right? What results does this have. Would you have an influence system, are you going to loose influence when Bastila is Sith and you are more and more becoming a Jedi. Or could you influence her to become a LS Jedi again? Maybe we could move a bit further on. How does Revan and the Exile come back in your proposed storyline? Which planets are in the game? NPC's? I guess we have returning characters: Bastila, T3-M4, HK-47, Canderous in any case and a lot of optionals. Perhaps all the characters from Kotor II could make some appearance except for GO-TO. Mira, Hanharr and Visas are also somewhat difficult.
