  1. Thing is, if we don't hear anything it can be either good or bad. It could be bad news and that Kotor III is not in production but it can also be good and that it is in production but they don't announce it just yet because they have maybe some difficulties with implementing our previous PC's or something else, they wish to develop the game for a console that isn't out yet so it cannot be tested. You never know.
  2. Yeah, Yeah. Linkie linkie The Poll There have been so many topics about Vandar. We will see in Kotor III. But at least I will stay where I am. Vandar lives! (w00t) I got to change my signature now. :D
  3. Does Vrook even say who died on Katarr? THe only thing I remember him saying about Katarr was "the other Jedi went to Katarr" and some desription of Nihilus <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At the rebuild Jedi Enclave Vrook could tell you: Including Master Zhar.... Master Vandar..... About others who tell that he couldn't have survived in an escape pod? Well, he could. If you have ever played a space game like Tie fighter you know it is incredibly hard to destroy one pod. And like I said, it is Star Wars. If you don't see someone dying, you could bring him back. One's that you cannot bring back are Trask, Davik, Calo Nord, Darth Bandon, Saul Karath, Darth Malak, Vrook, Kavar, Zez Kai Ell, Darth Sion, Darth Nihilus, Kreia and some others are very difficult like Carth, Mission, Zaalbar, Juhani, Jolee, Yuthura Ban (it should be possible to set Revan as DS) and Atris.
  4. Or the bad Mercenaries rebuild it after the Exile helped them.
  5. Actually the LS/DS meter is completely wronged in Kotor II. Kill Zez Kai Ell on Nar Shaddaa with LS mastery. After the battle you still have LS mastery. No DS points. I most often go to Onderon after that. When I take sides with Ponlar against the queen I don't get DS points and then I peacefully persuade the captains to abandon their posts, there isn't a DS point either. Then Tobin briefs you and when I agree to work with him, no DS points either. To Dantooine. I side with Azkul. No DS points. I kill Vrook, no DS points. Then I say to Azkul that I don't want his blood money. Hmm, LS points gained. Back to Onderon. Haha, some people call you a Sith or Dark one. I kill all, but I let Kiph live. Yeah, no problem. I am LS after all. Yes, yes, LS Mastery and all masters dead. Query: What am I? Answer: I am the nice and friendly LS Sith.
  6. Yes, I am one of those who actually believes Vandar is alive. In my idea of a Kotor III storyline I have him escape the ship (Revan DS) in an escape pod and after that being picked up by a republic fighter. Never forget that it is still Star Wars. And Katarr? Well, you could think that Vandar either didn't went to Katarr or that he was hiding on Katarr in a force sensitive cave which would protect him from Nihilus's attack through the force. That said, I don't take Kreia's weak explanation how Visas Marr survived Nihilus's attack. I don't believe Nihilus to be bound to Visas in any way. So maybe Visas was also hiding in a force sensitive cave. What do you think.
  7. No I guess not. What is somewhat more frustrating though is that we now have 18 parts of Kotor III: Idea's and Suggestions in which I have never seen a developer coming to have a look. Maybe they do but we have no evidence of that. And then we also have a note on this site under the "Contact" button saying: *Please note: Regarding game and story submissions: We have a strict company policy explicitly forbidding us from accepting or even reading unsolicited material. We will not accept or even read unsolicited proposals, ideas, stories, or projects sent to us through any means. Which I can understand as they would otherwise no doubt be bombarded with ideas from fans all the time. So I guess I could ask if anyone has been able to get into contact with the developers in any way and if so, how and with what kind of idea's?
  8. Everything except for no. 5 can actually be done in my storyline proposal. But about Atton, he will make a quiet important role in my version of Kotor III.
  9. The Jedi in Kotor are more powerful yes. I think 3 droideka's are no match for Revan would they? But here I go referring to Destroy droid / Force Lightning. I wonder how Revan would stand up against Palpatine or perhaps Mace Windu. I guess Revan would win but it would be a tough battle. To get back on topic. I haven't recieved many votes for my poll any longer. Best Idea I would suggest here is that we could play as a force sensitive not discovered by the Jedi Order. Probably born in the outer Rim or Unknown Regions. Gives a lot of possibilities.
  10. Well, I guess it's a good time to refresh results: Who would you want to be in Kotor III: 1) Revan 2) The Exile 3) Revan
  11. So certain are you?
  12. No, they wouldn't do that if they were DS. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fine: What if they die in a very evil way? Like killing babies using a supertarantatek or sumthin? Or producing a destructive beam of superconcentrated energy and destroying the center star of the galaxy, killing the galaxy once and for all, in a blaze of glory, as lovers, brother and sister, father and son and with a cute prostitute at their side? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :D From one extreme to the other. Come on, there are a lot of simple ways to keep them alive and give them a central role in the game.
  13. No, they wouldn't do that if they were DS.
  14. Which is why the Jedi Civil war had stopped when Revan killed Malak and destroyed the StarForge, either at the same time or later. When you think about it, even the Exile can make a sacrifice to the DS, kill the Jedi masters who exiled you but where also some kind of threat to the republic (stripping of the Exile form the force, had they succeeded) And Nihilus could have killed everyone on Telos. Sorry Shadow that it is 3 against 1 for you now. Well, I guess you can handle that, right.
  15. The only movie character would be Vader. You could just about justify him not being able to bear seeing his son suffer (although he seemed happy enough to lop his hand off) would trigger some spark of humanity that the emporer hadnt destroyed. He dosnt really flip flop though Vader was headed for the Darkside from the time he murdered those sand The sort of flip flop you would be talking about would be Obi Wan (or Yoda) going darkside and then becoming good again. And that's just really silly. Dont know about the EU but it kind of makes nonsense of Yoday saying "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny" if you can change sides as easily as changing your robes. Fanfics are hardly what you would call official material are they? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, okay. But how do you know that the sort of flip flop I am talking about would be silly. Off course there has to be a good reason which I admit am not good enough in but a professional writer would be. Now, I am not going to post my idea about why Revan must have turned LS in the Unknown Regions and why the Exile turned DS. I think even when I made it the reasons were not good enough. But if a professional writer get it in his head to just kill Revan and the Exile? THEN I AM GOING TO THROW BRICKS THROUGH THE WINDOWS OF THE LUCASARTS OFFICE AND THE CO DEVELOPERS OFFICE. You have been warned Obsidian! :D :D :D Off course I didn't mean that, but I would be very dissappointed
  16. Hahaha, the Flip flop way. Nah, it isn't flip flop. How many times have you seen and read Star Wars Shadow Paladin. You have seen so many ways how Jedi fall Dark Side, turn light again etc. I even read a fanfic on kotorfanmedia were the force ghost of Revan meets Anakin while he is on his way to Mustafar. What does Anakin say when Revan introduced himself: "O yeah, you are the one who couldn't stop switching sides" :D
  17. I find that sometimes people to much think to much in black and white and think that bringing back the characters is a lot of work. Well, In my story, you could select both Revan and the Exile's alignment, gender, face, everything. What does occur though is that Revan is during the game LS, even if he was DS in Kotor I. The Exile to the contrary will fall to the DS during the game, also even if she was LS in Kotor II. That would make it a lot easier for a Kotor III storywriter to build it. And if some fans don't like it. No problem, you could turn Revan DS again just like you could turn the Exile at the End to the LS again. No problem. See, writing a story shouldn't be to difficult. I am sure that there are a dozen other solutions that I couldn't find but if they decide to just kill Revan and the Exile for Kotor III you can see me throwing bricks through the windows of the Lucasarts office . So that's 2 versions of both Revan and the Exile!
  18. So that's three non professional writers that can do the Job: You, The Architect, Me.
  19. Last poll standings: Who would you want to be in Kotor III: 1) Revan 2) The Exile 3) Revan
  20. Now come on, even I can think of ways to get both Revan and the Exile in the game. I even managed some way in which you could set almost everything, alignment, gender, face, class. That isn't so difficult. And I didn't study any storyline writing. Thank you. Statement: Revan and the Exile don't have to be killed.
  21. I read and I disliked most of them. I'm sorry I didn't make it clearer, but it was late last night. I thought I'd forgotten to add something to my reply. I also freely admit that I somehow missed 8 and 9. I'm not sure how. I'll ratify that now: After a careful re-read - Okay, 8 or 9 - mm, maybe. Possibly. I don't like 12 or 14. Yes, either of these two would work. Just as long as its done right and without making the PC into the next "SuperJedi" or "SuperSith". So my vote will be for 8 or 9. It doesn't especially matter which. 9 might be more interesting since we've already had Revan and the Exile and both of them were trained by the Council. Perhaps 9 could come to this New Jedi Council formed by the Exile freely for training. *shrug*. But yes, that gets my vote. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, no problems then. Sorry about the anger in my reply too. I place your vote in number 9.
  22. In my opinion, I deleted an earlier post of the beginning chapter of my story, Both Revan and Exile will take up a major role in my vision of Kotor III. In this story it is possible to: 1) Set gender and alignment of both Revan and the Exile 2) Play as a Jedi not known in the Jedi order because of his/her planet, where he/she came from (The outer rim or Unknown Regions) maybe play as another species. Play as Malak's son / daughter is also an option (no other species) 3) Have a lightsaber from the start Revan will, during the game be a LS character, even if you set him/her DS. Don't worry, you could turn him/her DS later which probably involves killing one or two known persons (I am not going to reveal who in this topic). The Exile will fall to the DS but just like with Revan you could redeem him/her at the end to go LS again. Anyone likes it. I can send you a PM with the start of the game and some background info.
  23. Let me chance the subject for a moment. I got some votes today: Who would you want to be in Kotor III: 1) Revan 2) The Exile 3) Revan
  24. Yeah, as a Stormtrooper in the empire you get paid for each kill: Rebel soldier: 1000 credits Rebel commander: 2500 credits Rebel captain: 5000 credits Rebel "VIP": 10000 credits Civilian: 500 credits Seriously though, I agree with Maia that the PC has to be a powerful jedi. Sure, there are a lot of people here who would like nothing better then to play an ordinary soldier and kill each and every (dark) Jedi they come across. Yeah, right, I am starting to think that the usual dark Jedi is just cannon fodder in Kotor. In Kotor II even more then in Kotor I. The PC is the one who makes decisions so yes, he/she is the most powerful in the group. But on the other hand, I do see a way that your character wouldn't have to be more or equally powerful then Revan or the Exile. You may know that I am currently working on a story which could set you as a normal but powerful Jedi (not associated with a character we know about) or as the son of Malak (It would only make an extra addition).
