  1. In my last game I tried this and performed the Hssiss glitch until level 40. I then went to Nar Shaddaa and nobody ever gave me an item anymore (No lightsabers as well). Maybe it is different on the Xbox but I found out that if you are above level 30 nobody would give you "an item", like the equipment you get from Fazza for example and after level 40, nobody ever gives you a Lightsaber. I had But I wonder how this works on a Xbox. One recommendation: Save before you enter the Secret Tomb and kill Hssiss's.
  2. Kill your own character (Master Vrook) and he droppes a Jedi Master Robe! Don't worry, you can gain LS Mastery even when you kill him.
  3. And when you pick a prestige class. I think that the Consular is best mixed with a Weapons Master / Sith Marauder. Then you have a perfect combination of both lightsaber combat and force powers. Other good combinations: Guardian - Assasin / Watchman. Sentinel - Weaponsmaster / Marauder. Sentinel - Jedi Master / Sith Lord. In my next game maybe i'll do Guardian / Jedi Master. Anyone got any experience with this build?
  4. I liked Kotor I better than Kotor II and here are some of my reasons: 1) In Kotor I, you had to be very careful when you level up. You started as one of the three S class persons, after that you became Jedi. Now what kind of Force Powers did you want? Do you want to repair HK-47 and do you want to persuade succesfully each time. Disable mines etc. In Kotor II, you had so many levels that 50 was way too high. But because I like to get the best items in every game, I need to get to a higher level so I can create useful items early on. I take a lot of good Random loot. I sometimes reload an area because I want to get better items. And what I hated of being a High level Jedi. Who could possibly beat you. No one, off course. O yes, just forgot to mention that If I have more then 25 force powers I do not know what to choose next. The only great force power additions in this game are Force Sight, Force Enlightment, Force Confusion. All the others are just dumb to me. IMO I would say the game would have performed way better if all items are in this game and the maximum level would be set to 20 or possibly 25 and have all the items fixed. Nobody likes to find 4 or 5 Freedon Nadd Blasters in a lightside game or 3 Circlets of Saresh in a DS Game. What about the missiles Mira can use when you have Hanharr in your party? 2) In Kotor I you want to talk to all your party members to get their sidequests, this is done after each level up. In Kotor II you want to gain Influence with each party member to get XP, turn them into Jedi or improve your or their abilities. In theory, I would like to go for the Kotor II system, but when I learned they skipped all the dialogs we had in Kotor I, building relationships etc. It didn't feel right at all. Everything just ended when you had turned them into Jedi or did all you could do to improve yourself / the party member in question. In Kotor I at least, you needed to save Dustil to make a relationship with Carth. Missions sidequest didn't end with saving Griff on Tatooine but getting to know him as well. You also needed to find Bastila's father's holocron and bring it back to her mother. Maybe Juhani's sidequest could have been better done because we all wanted her to fall to the DS when she struck down Xor. But my main point is that it could have been done so much better. The Influence system. O yes, when Bao Dur, Disciple, Handmaiden and Mira fell to the DS they would have to act as a DSider as well. They don't! 3) Lack of "Strategic" targets. Every enemy you come across can be killed with conventional weapons. Is there anyone who is using mines to kill enemies in Kotor II? Remember the following very hard to beat enemies in Kotor I: 1) Rancor in the sewers 2) Sherruk 3) Albino Kathhound 4) Terentateks (especially those in Naga Sadows tomb) Now the Terentateks are replaced with quiet easy to beat Hssiss's. A shame. 5) Giant Firaxan Shark 6) Krayt Dragon There are some enemies that you could not kill with a lightsaber. In II it just looks like the Exile could defeat the Krayt Dragon with force powers and a lightsaber! Yeah, if you can defeat a 40 Hssiss with about 5 Force Storms then you could defeat a Krayt Dragon, don't you think.
  5. Before this gets locked. Yavin had indeed a lot of moons, and Yavin IV was like the only one of interest. If you look at http://www.nav-computer.com/yavinsys.html You see that Yavin has 3 "terrestrial sattelites" and that a year on Yavin is about 13.2 standard years. Wow, If I would have been born on Yavin I would be 2 1/2 years old now. That would be great. As for Malachor, it's a shame that we don't know more about this system. It should have been discussed in one of the conversations, maybe with Bao Dur or Disciple.
  6. About the Swoop Racing in Kotor I. Now we know what happened to Revan after Kotor I, Hukta Jax got his revenge. The new title for Kotor III is: Knights of the Old Republic, Hukta Jax's revenge! B.T.W.: Hukta Jax is a Gammorean Swoop racer on Manaan and before Revan comes in the champion on this world.
  7. At least we can still stun them in "horror". They don't work well as Force Masks.
  8. I agree as well. When one of your NPC's is unconscious. He must be sent back to the Ebon Hawk medbay to revive. I guess that Obsidian tried to make things a bit more difficult by putting so many solo missions in the game. Try to count them: Peragus: 2 (T3-M4 and Exile) Telos: 1 (Czerka: Bounty hunter trade quest. Ithorians: B4-D4) Nar Shaddaa: 4 (Atton: Twin Suns / Mira or Hanharr: unlock doors / Exile: Jekk Jekk Tarr / T3-M4: Warehouse) Korriban: 1 (Secret Tomb) Dantooine: 1 (Battle against Azkul or against Vrook, or both) Dxun / Onderon: None (optional one's are battle circle but then there are other optionals like Handmaiden battle) End Game: 1/2 On Telos (Battle against Atris)(Handmaiden / Exile) 2/3 on Malachor V (Remote / Mira / Exile) Total Solo missions: 14. Quiet a lot compared to Kotor I.
  9. You have to have a lot of influence with them so that they match or almost match your alignment. Atton) Have him in your party when you go into the Refugee Sector on Nar Shaddaa. Some twileks approach you. You have to talk with them. Then speak a long time with Atton and turn him Jedi. Bao Dur) You just have to get a lot of influence with him and talk a lot to him. He then says something like you have an effect on him. You can then turn him into a Jedi.
  10. Don't tell me you didn't know that you didn't know that Juhani can be killed in Kotor I, either in the grove or on the temple if Revan went DS.
  11. Nice to see the discussion about Vandar again. I created a Poll a long time ago and about 35% agreed that Vandar would be alive. Then I created a possible storyline and make Vandar a party member. And it took resistance, O yes. About Vrookie. I most often kill him, even when I am Light side. I actually thought that he would like to be shipped to Nar shaddaa and be left alone. That was his plan, wasn't it.
  12. I know how to gain some influence with Mandalore. It is important that you have him in your party on Onderon both times. 1) When you see Ponlar for the second time, respond with: "Everyone join Ponlar, the queens reign must end". Then select: We have to show Vaklu some sign or something and this is as good as any. 2) Accept Anda's quest to gain some more influence. Note that you don't have to remove the captains from their posts. If you want to work with Talya / Kavar, just don't remove them and you will be fine. 3) When going back to Onderon, don't get Mandalore on Dxun but select him as your party member on Onderon. When fighting with Vaklu, show some "interest" about the Basilsks. When fighting with Talya / Kavar, agree with Kreia to kill Vaklu and let the soldiers kill him. 4) On The Ravager: Kill Tobin. You do have to kill either Jorran / Tarn on Dantooine with Visas in your party to gain influence with Visas since it will conflict with each other. Don't worry, gaining LS Mastery again is not very difficult. Some people say that you will gain influence if you give support for Vaklu when the Twilek and Devaronian are debating but I never got this working. To this, he will tell you on the Ravager about Revan and the helmet. If you are a Jedi Master, Mandalore has LS Mastery (with no bonus unfortunately).
  13. Not likely information from Trayus Academy. I think Revan and Malak knew from Ajunta Pall.
  14. Well, I guess maybe you can't count on Obsidian to solve this problem. Maybe someone experienced with building mods can fix this.
  15. Well, I think I have solved the issue. Above level 30, you don't get any more items given to you by certain people. Like for example Fazza's equipment. You do receive lightsabers above this level though. Above level 40, nobody will give you the anything anymore. Not even Lightsabers. Maybe this solves this for everyone. And if Obsidian can do something about it in a possible next patch this would be helpful.
  16. Thank you. Well, at least I did receive 2 lightsabers before I got the bug. I guess you just have to be lucky. It was only after I performed the Hssiss's glitch.
  17. I have started up a new DS game where I went to Korriban first after Telos. I went into the tomb and went Force storming the Hssiss's till Level 40. Now, I have two lightsabers but when I went to Nar Shaddaa I noticed that when I completed quests I never received any equipment. Nothing from Fazaa, No lightsaber in Vogga's safehouse. No lightsaber from Hussef. Nothing. Have anyone done the Hssiss glitch before and experienced the same thing? Fortunately I do have a save game on the Telos Academy so I can do Korriban again and stop killing Hssiss's at an earlier level but off course I do need to know in that case where I need to stop. Level 32? Level 36? Any help is appreciated.
  18. The good thing about Dantooine is that you could kill Vrook but still help out Zherron and Adare. I have done it several times since I think this is something of the best solution. Helping out the community but getting rid of Vrook. Azkul is indeed trained in Malaks academy because he only doom Dantooine. Even General Vaklu is much better then Azkul.
  19. Why is everyone so against making a new topic in a poll, and showing this as well. If you don't like it, why does everyone post this crap. Okay, thats done. I would like to start as either: 1) Revan's Son / Daughter 2) A character that has been spawned by whatever happened (possibly related to the exile) 3) A true Sith, born in the sith empire with the option to betray your masters and study the Jedi way 4) Anything else except off course a common jedi or a sith like Jaden Korr in Jedi Academy, very unexciting story. My vote went to a Sith.
  20. Please NO! Don't let Revan die! Revan should survive! Is it so difficult to select a face for Revan and have a conversation about him/her to establish that he/she was good or bad?! Come on, letting Revan or the Exile die is just too easy....
  21. I guess I could agree with it that we don't have to rely on a characters history to build a good story for Kotor III. Indeed, the story would be something new if "something" happens in the story which makes it interesting. What I do not like to see however is that you are "some other Jedi" like Jaden Korr in Jedi Academy because that game truly failed in the storyline.
  22. How about the Neutral ending?! That's where the 6 missing movies end up, I think.
  23. Try something fun. You could actually kill all the Jedi masters / work with the bad guys and achieve LS Mastery. On the other hand you can play DS without killing any of the masters and work with all the good guys. I didn't lie about that.
  24. 1. Okay. 2. Awful idea. Ditto for nephews, nieces and godchildren. Why are you so opposed to "Jedi Jo(e) in the wrong place at the wrong time"? Do you have to be the "Harry Potter" CHOSEN ONE ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you are to become "just another Jedi", it is hard to build some "surprises / revelations" into the game. I have seen one game where you can play as "just another Jedi", this is Jedi Academy. And in Jedi Academy, are there any surprises in the storyline?! No, okay maybe the only surprises are who are fighting against but otherwise the story is just very very bad. In Kotor I and II we at least have something to figure out. We can find out who our character is and what he/she has done. Sure, there are some advantages to become just another jedi, for example the fact that you could play as another species but otherwise I think it isn't so good to let your PC be just some jedi. Final note: Remember that in the Star Wars movies some of the main characters are not just another person either.
  25. Well, thank you for your responses. I am at the very least very satisfied that I do get some attention. For one thing, there are allways a lot of (unbelievable) events happening in any star wars movie / Kotor game. The first Kotor tried to let you believe that Revan was dead. And then on the leviathan you see that you are Revan. Then Obsidian gets a job of developing another game and just before the end you will hear that you are a wound in the force and that you spawned two Sith lords who killed a lot of jedi. Then there is the very difficult job of building another Kotor game which we all agree should be made of finishing a good storyline which IMHO should have characters who are somewhat related to the main characters in the first two games (Revan and the Exile). And I think it would be a bad idea to just let Revan and the Exile be dead for simplicities sake. As to why I would think about a spawned LS character. Well, to be honest I don't have a really good idea of why a LS character would be spawned from the Mandalorian wars but remember there is always the force and this force has always some will. Anakin was also spawned by the will of the force. It is therefore that I think that especially given what happened in Kotor II there should be a character spawned at the time of the Mandalorian wars, possibly a character who could resist an attack done through the force. A character who could survive when a Nihilus type Sith is killing everything on a planet. It could be rumoured that Visas is such a character, I mean do you believe Kreia that Nihilus is bound to Visas?! Well, I don't really believe that. It would be extremely difficult if not impossible to kill thousands if not millions of force sensitives to let only one survive. And remember this is all done through the force. Maybe this could be our new idea of a playing character as I mentioned before I wouldn't like to play as "Just another Jedi". So these are my idea's: 1: play as a character spawned from the Mandalorian wars or let this be an NPC. 2: Play as Revan's son / daughter. Remember that Revan lost his/her memory.
