Dueling: is that a Mini game??????!!!!! I think dueling isn't a minigame. The minigames are where you change your normal control system like pazaak, turret game and swoop racing. With Dueling, you can control your own character.

This equipment send to ship thing is something to think about. I am always laughing about it that a party member finds some equipment in the Freedon Nadd tomb, build some upgrades, equip that and just a few moments later, the Exile or Kreia uses it. I have thought about something else for Kotor III as well. I think that if they want to truly continue the story of I and II, there should be some kind of Character in the game which was also spawned from the Mandalorian wars (Like Sion and Nihilus) but this time a Light Side version. Think about it, if the Exile "spawned?!" 2 Sith Lords why can't he/she have spawned a LS Jedi. I thought about it after I played Kotor II DS last time and that Kreia told me that it was difficult to see if there were any Jedi remaining and that from one Jedi's dead another would stand up. Your thoughts?!

Unfortunately, you have to kill her in Kotor I when you play DS.

All short answers. Well, I can explain something from experience here I guess. When you do Nar Shaddaa first there are 3 locations where you can get a lightsaber or a lightsaber part. 1) In Vogga the hutts Storeroom. Pretty hard to get into but some game guide will explain. Gamebanshee has a good one. 2) From Hussef after the Exchange have given them some more space. 3) From Lootra when you find his wife Aida (or something) and clear a path for her. I was dissapointed to see that if you helped the Exchange you don't get any lightsaber parts. They really made this game for LS in the first place which I don't really object against considering that I usually play LS the first times but I understand when people complain if they prefer to do it DS. Note however that when you help Hussef he only gives you the Lightsaber part when you negotiated with him to give some more space. If you kill Saquesh you don't get anything. There is another opportunity to kill Saquesh though when you want to release Nadaa. On Dxun / Onderon you can get lightsaber parts from Mandalore and Dhagon Gent.

I can recommend to set Revan as LS, whatever you choose. Why?! 1) You can see Carth again (and Bastila if you set Revan as LS Male) 2) You can gain influence with Kreia / LS or DS points when you stand in front of Ajunta Palls tomb on Korriban. Okay, on Korriban in Uthar Wynn's chamber you don't get Bastila's hologram but this will not give you anything.

These are some good points Kenelis, that's true. But if you could post the stories of the NPC's of Kotor I what you like / didn't like in the same way as you did with the Kotor II characters to, then we could discuss something more I guess. I mean, you say that you liked the characters from Kotor I better?! Prove it, please....

On the topic who was the Exile's master I can make some statements. 1) Atris is not the Exile's master since Atris never had a padawan. 2) The Exile wasn't a Jedi Knight because he/she came back to the Jedi Council in a Jedi Robe (not a Jedi Knight Robe, you can see it in the recording). 3) Kavar wasn't Exile's master. He probably trained the Exile but he was never his/her "master" like Obiwan was to Anakin and Qui Con was to Obiwan. Finally: About Kavar. I just finished a game where I fought for Vaklu. What disappointed me most was that I didn't find Kavar a good master. Every good Jedi should try to redeem a fallen Jedi but it seemed to me that the Exile could even as a Sith behave more like a Jedi then Kavar. Kavar seemed to only want to strike down the Exile if you didn't persuade Kavar to talk a bit. If Kavar were a good Jedi Master, he should have tried to persuade you to kill Vaklu to save the queen. Are Bastila / Juhani / Disciple really better Jedi then the masters we meet in Kotor II?! I believe so! They at least try to redeem Revan , or in case of Disciple the Exile while a master only wants to strike you down! A former Kavar fan, not anymore.

Let me try to see the errors of the Jedi masters in both Kotor I and II. In Kotor I we learned that the Jedi Council mindwiped Revan to deal with the threat that the Starforge and Malak represented. IMO this is not wrong because it is actually quiet merciful considering that Revan was a Sith Lord who didn't stop Malak from destroying worlds (like Telos). Maybe Revan never destroyed worlds himself but he/she let Malak do it and that is his/hers worst crime. Conclusion: Mindwiping Revan for the good of the galaxy and giving him/her a chance of redemption is justified. At least for me. The mistake they make however is that they send Bastila in the group with Revan to find this Star Forge. If they both fell to the Dark Side they would become an enemy which the Jedi cannot handle. In Kotor II we see that the only Jedi who didn't fall to the Dark side and followed Revan was send into Exile. And this was only because they felt the wound in the force which they were afraid off. Exile didn't do anything bad until we could decide to make the Exile DS. Which of course can be blamed on the Jedi Council for exiling this Jedi. Conclusion: Sending our Jedi in II into Exile is a very big mistake and can bring another enemy to the galaxy. Then as we play our Exile as LS, the remaining Jedi Masters want to cut the Exile off from the Force. A very wrong decision since it would immidiately bring doom to Telos which will be attacked by Nihilus (If Kreia didn't intervene). Or would Kavar, Vrook and Zez Kai Ell kill Nihilus on the Ravager and go to Malachor V to kill Sion. Thereby eliminating the threat?! I wonder. O and eh. The Jedi masters didn't fall to the Dark Side. When you have Force Sight you can see the blue light.

One thing I would like to see and I wrote some of it in my storyline as well is that there should be a force power to throw objects or to collapse stonewalls. I imagine that this could be done about the same way that you can destroy mines with Destroy droid in Kotor II.
-
You are thinking about what happened to Anakin's lightsaber in AOTC on Geonosis? True there are lot's of equipment which nobody uses (Lightning gloves, Exchange negotiaters, heavy armors etc.etc.etc.) , especially in Kotor II with it's Random items generator but I don't think that breaking down is such a good idea.
-
Yeah, speculation. I do remember a topic on the Bioware boards where a software store posted a link to preorder: "Kotor II, The Sith Lords". Hehe, it leaked and that was 3 weeks before Lucasarts made it's first announcement on their site.

Thanks for your comments Kaymon Jinn. I agree with you that Revan is one of the most important characters there are in this game. And if the next game is made without Coruscant, the all to often phrased customizable lightsaber hilts and the hooded robes. Then the developers are loosing some money because, well all of us wouldn't go to the stores the first day it comes out, that's why! And maybe have enough patience to wait for half a year because it's getting cheaper by then. I like your idea about starting in a True Sith Prison. Quiet similar to my idea to start in an academy. About including Master Vandar? Well, I took a lot of critism about this and I guess this is a bit unbelievable. Well, if you have read the book "Champions of the Force", last novel of the Jedi Academy trilogy, you would think differently about unbelievability. Okay I tell about impossible stuff written there. A fighter size ship called the Sun Crusher with Quadruple armor, able to withstand every kind of damage. But not the Super Laser of a Death Star was flying with Kyp Durron as pilot (Kyp is Jedi) between black holes in the Kessel system to lure the Death Star to one of the Black holes to destroy the small moon sized space station. Then the Superlaser hits the Sun Crusher and send it in a uncontollable spin. Kyp will brake some of his bones to fit himself into a message cylinder of 1 meter long and maybe 30 cm wide. Then the message cylinder is launched from the Crusher. The Death star meanwhile is sucked up by the black hole and explodes. Then the Millenium falcon picks up the message cylinder and a very surprised Han Solo opens it and sees Kyp Durron inside and Kyp is going to be okay. Now, how would someone be able to brake his bones, launch himself in a small message in only a few seconds? Then avoid a super blast of a ship the size of Australia and then in such a big void of space be seen and picked up by a legendary freighter called the Millenium Falcon? Sounds impossible stuff from an overexcited writer no doubt. O yeah, forgot to mention. Kyp Durron is such a very very powerful Jedi who could actually maneuver the Sun crusher from the Gas Giant of Yavin directly to Yavin IV. The republic wanted to destroy the Sun Chrusher by flying it into the Gas Giant Yavin. That failed, and Kyp went on a killing spree with it to destroy the Empire. That's where I got the idea of a Sith hating Dark Jedi to become a party member. Back on topic. If we would all agree to it that the final (we at least think it's the final of this series, don't we) chapter should include a Yoda/Yaddle/Vandar species to our NPC's then maybe they will take it into consideration. Let's hope for the best.

First we got some schutta who registered www.kotor3.com and now this person says he wants to sell it for more than $ 200,=. Now we got another schutta saying that he works for Bioware and says that Kotor 3 is in development. And I also just found an almost unused forum on www.kotor3.net and another schutta claimed that Obsidian is going to make this game. Kotor3net. How many more of these schutta's are there to come?! I do hope that Kotor III features: Both Revan and Exile back in the game (doesn't have to be NPC's and hopefully also will not be PC's either). Some planets which "have" to be in the game: Coruscant Myrkr Falleen Sleheyron Ziost Some species which also "have" to be NPC in this game: A Yoda / Yaddle / Vandar species HK-47 T3-M4 How about a Dark Jedi who hates the Sith I mentioned in my story a Rodian The Ebon Hawk Customizable Lightsaber hilts Robes with hoods you can put up/down Armors with Helmets, so we don't have to look upon an ugly face sometimes.

Looks like Spam. Does anyone actually believe "an official representative of Bioware" would post something in a non bioware forum? It also makes me sick that he said that it took place 14 years after Kotor II which implies that Revan and the Exile are most likely dead and that bothers me big time. I hope it's NOT TRUE! But I have patience, we will see if Bioware will post something on their site.
-
I disagree with this since Kotor games are not made for battle only. Think about Disabling mines, repairing droids, working with computers. Other than that, if you for example go LS in stead of DS or the other way you might want to choose different characters in your party. And then there is the case that if you have fewer NPC's and you don't like a certain character you are stuck with him/her because you sometimes need this character for a certain part. To me, in Kotor I Bastila stayed on the ship most of the time. Kotor II: Almost never used: GO-TO Least Used: Disciple, Handmaiden, Bao Dur. I do think that I pretty often used a character who have both Stealth and Demolition skill since this is very practical on Goto's Yacht and on the path before Freedon Nadd's tomb. Mostly Mira or Atton but it could also be done with Visas.

Just found some info about the Nighthunter which IMO could make a good NPC if you think about it: http://freewebhosting.hostdepartment.com/J...r/animals2.html

Well, I hope you didn't forget that I was building a possible storyline. Maybe they can take things out of my development to start idea's for Kotor III. Maybe you could comment on what you like / don't like. You would notice that in this chapter a lot will become clear as to why I choose to begin in a Sith academy. Why a Jedi spied on this academy and tries to bring you back to the LS and why Revan wouldn't fight you to dead in the start. Anyway, let's go to Falleen. Falleen: On Falleen it is again difficult to make contact with the people first hand. The planet is covered with 85% ocean, 2 continents (the size of Australia for example) and numerous small islands. On the largest continent is where you first set foot. The area you explore is city, then forests and mountains. You come across Kalan Tas, a Dark Jedi who tells you that he discovered that the Falleen are being enslaved by the Sith who probably have a secret base on the planet, on one of the small islands or even underwater, Kalan Tas will join your party here. Kalan fell to the dark side when his homeworld (Possibly Telos) was bombarded by Malak in the Jedi Civil war, he lost his family and sought out to seek Revenge on the Sith. When his Jedi Master didn

Well now that the thread is receiving some more attention again I could continue the story with the planet Coruscant: Coruscant: On Coruscant your objective is to discuss with the republic about the new Sith threat, and the disturbance in the force. If Revan was LS and you spoke with him / her, you will also talk to Carth Onasi and Bastila Shan about the threat. Master Waddo and John Dodonna will be your NPC

Hey, no need to apologize. I honestly see the fact that you take inspiration from my own plot as praise, especially when you credit me for it up front. All the plots we have suggested have been criticized one way or another (including my own), but between us we might think of something good. As for your Myrkr plot, I think you should detail it a bit more, particularly the signficance of the Ysalamiri. It doesn't seem to come across clearly that they prevent force powers, which should probably be a high point of the adventures on Myrkr. I like Grudo Tan, though. We don't have nearly enough "good" rodians in Star Wars. Hadn't thought of settlers on Myrkr myself, but I don't see a problem with it. Still think the native Neti should be mentioned at some point. That doesn't fit well with Sadow's known history, but we can make up excuses for it. For example that a jedi found the holocron and was hunted by the Sith and was then shot down over Myrkr and crashlanded. Or the Sith could have found it and been hunted to Myrkr by the jedi. The hunters then went down to the planet, but because their force powers were lost to them, both sides were killed by the vornskrs and the holocron lost. The Sith are on Myrkr because they are looking for it. The jedi have known about its presence here for a while (which is why the PC knows), but they left it there thinking that it would best be prevented from abuse by the Sith on a force-empty world. The current crisis has changed that, however, and now the jedi need to find the holocron before the Sith do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I fully agree with you about your opinions. I guess I didn't write enough about Myrkr, and the Ysalamiri because I thought everybody would know this. For those of you who don't know. Sessile tree-dwellers from the obscure planet of Myrkr, the Ysalamiri are among the most bizarre creatures of the galaxy. As part of a defensive mechanism that protects them from Force-sensitive pack animals called vornskrs, the ysalamiri have developed the unusual ability to "push back" the Force. Ysalamiri are small, furry salamander-like creatures no larger than 50 centimeters long. Their long claws grow directly into the cores of the branches they inhabit, drawing nutrients from the mineral-rich trees. It takes special knowledge to successfully remove an ysalamiri from a branch without killing it. A single ysalamiri creates a bubble in which the Force cannot be manipulated. In groups, the size of the bubble increases. Vast areas in which the Force cannot be used cover Myrkr. From -- Star Wars Databank -- So using the force on Myrkr is impossible for every force sensitive. I choose Myrkr as a planet to explore to A) Let the non jedi become more important B) To one's again be dependent on Medpacks, stims, mines and other items. I guess it also wouldn't hurt that because you cannot use the force you also suffer some penalties for using a lightsaber here. An attack, damage and BBD penalty of -3 for example. About the Native Neti on Myrkr: Metamorph: Neti can alter their size and shape considerably, though this has little game effect. This includes the ability to change form into a rough humanoid shape, a squat quadruped shape, or a solid, tree-like shape. In quadruped form, Neti receive a +1D bonus to Brawling Parry skill rolls made to resist trips and tackles, but it can neither run nor charge. This bonus is increased to +4D to Brawling Parry when the Neti is in a stationary tree-like form. Changing shape takes a full round. Photosynthesis: Neti are plants and have no need for food as long as they have regular access to broad-spectrum light. Move: 10/12 Size: Varies; when at rest, 5 meters tall, but can morph between 2 and 9.5 meters tall From http://www.verminary.com/rebellion/powerjedi.html

I hated that type of thing. It's almost as bad as making a single story canon. I say you just KILL 'EM ALL. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is just too easy......

The Jedi Wookiee is Lowbacca, he appears in some of the New Jedi Order books. Maybe we can battle against some Sand People Dark Jedi. How about the Nar Shaddaa Pazaak champ. He is a Jedi? No, wait a minute. I believe there are also Force Sensitive Rancors?!

On to the next part of the storyline: Hyperspace travel to Myrkr and Myrkr itself: After you leave Chandrila, during hyperspace travel the Jedi (Trisha / Waddo and Shaela) feel that

Before I continue to the next part of my story maybe I could adress a few points of what I have written so far. 1) The masters of the Jedi academy: Vandar, Bao Dur, Brianna. I haven't heard any complaints about Bolook so I keep him there in the story. Vandar is where the story fails? After I have examined my story I guess this could be replaced by another Jedi Consular. I prefer to keep it the same species though and I do keep the character as a Jedi Master. Maybe a just starting master, somewhat like Obiwan at the end of TPM. That would keep him from being an extremely high level starter. I call him Waddo from now on. Good idea? Bad Idea? Let me know. Replacements for Bao Dur and Brianna. Brianna will be thrown away and replaced by another Jedi Guardian. Thought's: Trisha's brother. Bao Dur's replacement: Has anyone thought about Chodo Habat? Yeah, an Ithorian Jedi Master. That's an idea. 2) A Sith academy on Dagobah I figured that if I placed an academy on the "eastern" side of the galaxy. Near Ziost it would have been known or it would have been discovered but then the galaxy is a big place and a few centimers on a galaxy map is about 3 parsecs. Now I am no expert on parsecs / lightyears and so but I figure that a parsec is quiet a distance. I read about Almania somewhere that this is also a Sith planet. I could place this Sith Academy on this planet. That would also explain Revan's appearance I guess.

Then who is going to defeat Nihilus II or the Exile in this part of the story? Visas is okay by me, when the Exile will go DS the only thing she would do so far is seeking revenge on Nihilus since he destroyed her planet. But Atton? Now that's very different where he went up. If the Exile was DS, then he would possibly even join the Exile to destroy the Jedi.
