What part of P:E has you the most excited for it's release?
Brave Sir Osvir! Alas, the first bunny you see will be like the Rabbit of Caerbannog.

Legendary weapons
True, something that bolsters up the skills or damage is to be expected - especially in a cRPG. But was Narsil (later reforged as Andúril) a sword made out of kryptonite? It just so happens to be a sword, that was used by the sons of Gondor in the war against Sauron. No strings attached. But that's a different story, so, umm... nevermind

Legendary weapons
A weapon doesn't need to do +614,2 fire damage and give you the aura of awesomeness to be "legendary". Sometimes it's just its name and the story behind it that makes it special. Besides, aren't some of these "uber" gadgets over the top?

Do you want firearms in Project Eternity?
I'm in favor - it's not modern warfare, but newly invented prototype-ish weaponry. Seen it in fantasy a dozen of times, nothing to worry about.

Ship-to-ship combat

- Random functions of casting, attack, and ability times
In DA: Origins there's this ability icon. After use you see it go "round the clock", ready to use again after 360. And the party was of 4 people, not 6, so regarding checking all the companions abilities THAT'S A RELIEF!- To all of our backers and fans...
- If you'd had $1000 to pledge, what NPC would you have made?
Messier-31 replied to darkling.lithely's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Dunno, you could always role-play having a six-fingered hand.- If you'd had $1000 to pledge, what NPC would you have made?
Messier-31 replied to darkling.lithely's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)So you're gonna end up killing his father, eh?- Small suggestions. Easily implemented ideas, quickfire thoughts.

Interesting, but... since it's a role-playing game, it is the player, *you*, who plays the role and should have some freedom in deciding whether attack or not. Maybe your fellow companions should be expected to do some action in regards to their beliefs, but the PC? I guess you could do something contradicting your "nature", but have some consequences of that action later on. Like a paladin losing powers due to an evil deed.- Dwarven beards in PE
Here's a thought. If the game takes place on the southerm hemisphere, and the Vailian Republics are more southern than the most of the other nations... then why they have darker skin tones? Shouldn't people living in cooler places have brighter skin, and vice versa? Or, is the *entire* nation based on colonialism?- To all of our backers and fans...
Their lack of a response only "proves" that they're working on other matters. It would be hilarious to see a cut-away panel after that sentence, showing the devs partying hard in a club And yet here came the dev-response... alas, it seems they actually are working. Better luck next time, I guess... j/k Splendid!- a Coward
I agree - it's called "common sense".- What would PE look like if Obsidian catered to the worst of us?
I kinda like the idea of not gaining XP from defeating foes. Makes you wanna avoid some combat situations and consider a different approach. I used to play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and we would be awarded with experience points just after some major events would be brought to an end. Not for every kill we would get, maybe just for some very important and story related boss's's's'sss... What I mean is that you play your role as in a theater, not simply hack n' slash everybody; there you put politicians.- Random loot or fixed drops from certain mobs?
Only if categories of randomized loot are restricted to certain types/classes of enemies. i.e. No rats should ever have a stomach full of coins. The only loot you should ever be able to obtain from animals should be meat, hides, etc. Poor people shouldn't have gilded ornamental swords unless they happen to be a thief who stole it from a noble who hired you to retrieve it. Yes! I never thought otherwise- To all of our backers and fans...
Or they are a sub-contractor of the NSA (come one, a name like "Obsidian" practically gives it away) and can't talk about stuff anymore because of the whistleblower paranoia in US agencies. But they still listen (it's in their job description) and store every post in huge databases Jesus Christ on a pogo-stick... Or maybe, just maybe, crab-people are takin' over as we speak! What's next, illuminati?- Random loot or fixed drops from certain mobs?
